"Good stay"
the only negative thing we have to say is that the heating/cooling unit was very loud! I guess that would be "par for the course" as other hotels we've stayed in also had noisy units. Otherwise all was good. Did not use the pool or gym (gym looked very small)
"Very nice"
Only stayed briefly, but everything was great. Quiet, clean room. The check in and out were very quick. The breakfast was surprisingly good!

"Good place to stay."
Hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff was very pleasant. Continental breakfast (included w/ room) had more variety and choice than we expected. Hotel was convenient to downtown Burlington as well as the attractions to the south. Overall, it was a perfect choice for what we needed and where we needed it.
"The Holiday Inn Express - should be torn down"
The building is old. You can literally hear people walking in the room above you. You hear when they shower or flush the toilet. You can be part of their conversation. It was impossible to rest during the day. The nights were better because everyone else was sleeping. Be prepared to be awake at 6:00 am when the other guest start preparing for their […] day. "Holiday Inn Express - convenient location"
Hotel was easy to find. The layout of the hotel is a little confusing but we were able to find our way around. (not all floors of the hotel run the entire length of the hotel, we would take one elevator one floor down then walk the lenght of the hallway to take another elevator down to get to the lobby) Our room was nice...in need of a refurbishing, […] old heating unit but still worked fine. The bathroom floor was extremelly sticky and was only marginally better the next day but that is really the only negative. Breakfast was good and the hot tub was nice. This hotel is near the Shelbourne Museum and is pretty close to South Burlington. There are shopping centers nearby and there is a fantastic restaurant just 20 feet away!

"Just your average plain hotel"
A pretty small room, but it worked ok for just two nights. There was no refrigerator in the room, which I had specifically requested, but they brought us one pretty quickly. Free breakfast was pretty good. Not very soundproof. It sounded like the people in the upstairs room were jumping around. Pool nice.

"Noisy Hotel"
Although the rooms were clean and comfortable, we did not get a good nights sleep the two nights we stayed there. The hotel is right next door to a restaurant with an outside bar so it was noisy till after 2am. The air conditioner was also extremely noisy and walls are paper thin. I will be frequenting Burlington but will never stay here again.

"Holiday Inn Express South Burlington"
Great hotel. Only issue was the fire alarm went off around 9am. Everyone had to go outside and wait. The fire department came and checked everything out. We had to wait outside for about 45 mins. Other than that, the hotel was great!
"Holiday Inn Express S Burlington"
A very convenient location for visiting Shelburne Museum which was the main thrust of our visit. To fully explore the museum we found it took a full day and some time the next morning, too. The ticket allows for a two day visit wisely and having the hotel nearby was a welcome respite. It was neat and clean but would benefit from some refreshed decor […] and an updated pool, hot tub area but it was welcome after a long day of touring. Mehr

The Holiday Inn Express in South Burlington, Vermont should be rated five stars in my opinion as the people at the front desk and in the breakfast area are extremely pleasant, helpful, and friendly. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I like having two sinks and counter areas as it makes getting ready in the morning so much more efficient. […] The complimentary breakfast and parking are two key things I always look for in making my hotel rerservations. The indoor pool and exercise room were a great experience. Wonderful expereince as this is the 2nd year in a row that my family and I have stayed at this hotel and I will continue to stay there each year when I come to South Burlington to visit family. Mehr

"Holiday Inn Express - wonderful staff"
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food from the restaurant next door was quite good although a tad pricey. The room was very comfortable but the towels & such were fraid (not a huge deal breaker). Internet access is free but slow at least it was for me. The breakfast was ok (included in the cost) - fruit was fresh, eggs were not, but […] for the standard breakfast excluding the hot food was fine! If you are traveling on business it is a good choice, but i wouldn't bring my family there for vacation. Mehr

it was nice for a 2 day stay, the ice machine wasn't easy to find, the free breakfast was pretty good.

We were in Vermont to see a college and the hotel was very accessible. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than I expected. Overall a very comfortable stay.

The hotel was clean and affordable. Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Their are so many things to do in the area and the location of the hotel was just right. The gardens around the hotel are beautiful and the convenience of the restaurant next to the hotel was nice after a long day. Will stay here again.

"Not the quality I would expect for the amount we paid"
I was disappointed because we have always had such good experiences in the past with Holiday Inn Express. Things went well at first - check in was quick and easy and there were coffee and fresh baked cookies available. We had booked a 2 double bed room and ended up getting a king size room with a sofa because "that was all they had left" .Evidently, […] a huge hockey team was staying in the hotel because their uniforms were spread out all over the lawn when we arrived. That wasn't a problem - but I feel like we didn't get quality service because they were overwhelmed with the team. Anyway, when we got to our troom, it smelled heavily of mildew. Against our better judgement, we didn't complain - we had to be somewhere shortly after checking in, and they had already told us there were no other rooms. When we returned that evening, the smell was again obvious, and I also noticed the tub and sink appeared dirty, although on closer inspection they were just badly scratched and worn. We were short on pillows, and asked for some, but they told us they were out. They did, however, quickly bring more towels when we requested them. The bed slept well, although our friends said the sofabed did not. When we got up the next morning, we found that the sink was leaking underneath (the source of the mildew smell). When we informed the management about the bad smell upon checkout, we were given a hasty apology and an assurance that it would be taken care of. There was no refrigerator in the room, and I though for the price we paid, there should have at least been a refrigerator. Mehr

Great staff, clean room, affordable no frills hotel located a 5 minute easy drive from downtown Burlington (Church Street).

Nous avons grandement apprécié le service courtois du personnel de l'hôtel. Déçus cependant du spa: jets pas très puissants et l'eau qui en sortait était froide...
