das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, man hat einen traumhaften Blick über das Meer. Poolanlage sehr gepflegt, Personal freundlich. Preisl / Leistung stimmt absolut.Hotel ist für einen Kurztrip ideal.

Ich war mit dem Service rund um zufrieden

Zimmer mit Blick auf die malerische Bucht. Sauber und adrett. Kann ich empfehlen. - Zum Lunch oderr Dinner sollte man allerdings in die Stadt fahren.

Wir waren zwei Nächte im Hotel und hatten zwei Zimmer gebucht. Wir genossen herrliche Abende auf dem Balkon. Das Hotel hat eine gute Infrastruktur mit Kraftraum und Aussenpool. Auch die Strandstrasse eignet sich gut zum Jogging. Zum Baden sind wir nach Clearwater (25km) gefahren, weil der Strand dort viel schöner ist. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und gut […] geführt. This is an older hotel so don't expect four stars here. However, the location is nice and you can get a room with a great view for cheap. They advertise turndown service, but this is a myth. Crabby Bill's was a fun place to go get a drink, and all the pilots and flight crews from Southwest Airlines stay there, so it's a fun and interesting crowd. This is my 3rd time staying there & the main reason I chose to stay there again is b/c we loved the restaurant Crabby Billy's. However, this time we had HORRIBLE service. We ate there for lunch at 12:30 & it was almost completely empty, so we couldn't understand why it took more than 20 min. to even get a drink. The food didn't take quite as long, but […] the waitress was very slow & seemed to be just wandering around the restaurant & would disappear & not refill out drinks, etc. We had dinner there again, hoping for better service. However, it was just as slow. It took at least 15 min. to even get a drink menu. We ordered appetizers, which came pretty quickly (before our drinks, actually). We ordered salads w/our meals. The salads did not show up before our meals & we asked the waiter several times to check on them & he kept forgetting. He ended up bringing our salads after our meals were completely eaten, with no apology , & still charged us full price for them. Otherwise, the actual hotel itself was very accomodating about allowing us to check-in early (3 hours early, thank you soooo much!) & it was very clean & a nice, large room, very helpful lady at the front desk. Situated directly on the inner bay beach it's a great view!! The breakfast at the bar is far from good! Nothing happens in the neighborhood - so if you want a silent place to stay with a short drive to the airport and dinning then choose this hotel

The bed was a king size Select Comfort with dual controls. There is no better bed made in America. The location is on the bay and the view was great and it is only 150 yards away from Whiskey Joe's...a restaurant, bar, night club and beach set up all-in-one fun place to visit. Fast check in. Friendly staff. We were upgraded to a suite. Close to airport. Had airport shuttle--was on time. Would deinitely recommend.

We stayed ther with our son for a few days on spring break we really enjoyed the hotel. They have a great restaurant-bar, awsome view, nice pool. Hotel is new but it is clean. They do need more chairs on ground floor, When you wake up they are at someone elses unit, :-( not fun fighting for chairs.

the hotel was very clean and I am very picky about that when traveling. I was impressed with the size of the room and how easy it was to get to the airport. I enjoyed my overnight stay and would use the hotel again.

I walked into the room and the AC was turned off....This is Florida and it was hot. The room had a foul smell. The Carpet was filthy and had dirt all over it, was definitely not vacuumed. The AC was very noisy and blew air directly on you at night. I would not stay here again. The only thing positive about this hotel is the view if your Bay Front.

This hotel was convenient for us because we had a rental car. We wished there was a jacuzzi along with the pool they had. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful and the room was very clean including the rug which (if you travel a lot you will know) after walking on the rug and then stepping into the shower there was no blackness on the bottom of […] my feet. I booked a king room but when I checked in there didn't have any king rooms available. That was ok I would have been perfectly happy with the two beds but the room they gave me was horrible. The carpet was stained, there had been a leak in the ceiling and rhe wallpaper was coming down and the ceiling had been patched. The room was smelly and dirty including […] dried buggers on the wall next to the bed, nasty stains on the shower curtain and even a straight pin stuck in the wall in the bathroom. I called to ask to be moved and was told there wasnt anything else available The sheets looked clean so I stayed the night but slept horribly. The next day they moved me to a king room but the curtains were falling down at the window and the lock was falling off the door. Needless to say I will never stay at a best western motel ever again. This hotel, while somewhat past it's prime, is in a very convenient location if using Tampa Int'l Airport. Many of the pilots stay here, and a free shuttle to and from the airport (and to certain restaurants along the way) is available. The room rate is very reasonable considering the location. This hotel was extremely convenient to the airport -but not close enough for the plane noise to be a problem. Our room was clean. It was easy to get into the downtown area. The staff was helpful and friendly. Over-all we were very pleased with our stay.

the only complaint i have is the air conditioner in my room was so loud I had to shuy it off.

Very noisy on first floor. Other than that the hotel was great. Would recommend staying on a higher floor for a good nights rest!

I had to wait for check in because they did not have my reservation, it was booked thru hotels.com. other than that it was an enjoyable stay. good eating at grabby bill's and a great location for seeing other places during your stay.

Nice place, close to evrything, beautiful view from the balcony to the water, bay.

I stayed from Jan 31-Feb 2, 2012. Great stay! The wallpaper could be a bit spruced up, as the corners were slightly peeling. But the bathroom and beds were clean. And the bed was comfortable as well. I had a bay side view, was able to see a dolphin the second morning there. Even so, the bay was great to relax to whether there were dolphins or not. […] The restaurant was quite suffice, I enjoyed the salad and shrimp combo platter they offered. The steamed oysters were okay. The outside bar was fun... and the drinks were made well and affordable. They also had local volleyball tourneys while I was there, which was nice to watch considering I was staying there by myself. The bartenders were very nice as well! The hotel did double charge me for the first night, but they took care of it fairly quickly when I brought it up to them. I hope to visit again, and look forward to possibly staying there. Didn't have a chance to enjoy the pool area, but a quick swipe to know they keep the pool heated. The pool isn't that big though. But definitely, its worth the upgrade to get a bay side view. Mehr

About 10 min from the airport , bay view magnificent , service staff very nice . The only thing is that breakfast is not included and we had to drive for 30 to 40 min everytime we had to go somewhere but I guess it depends where u r going . Overall excellent !!

I stayed two separate nights, one night when arriving in Florida and one night when leaving. The views of Tampa Bay are beautiful. There was a definite difference in the quality of the rooms. The first room was on the 5th floor, the lamps didn't work the select comfort bed didn't work and there was a shortage of supplies. However the next stay I was […] on the 4th floor and it was much better --- but the sink did not drain properly, sliding door was almost impossible to open. We enjoyed our 1 night stay @ this hotel more than our 4 nights aboard our Carnival Cruise. & the food @ Wiskey Joe's accross the water was better than anything we had on the ship. Next time we'll just save our money & come stay @ The Best Western Bay Harbor instead of going on a cruise.

I loved this hotel and felt like I was on vacation even though I was here for business. It's right on the bay with a great view, very relaxing. Gym has one whole wall of windows looking out into bay, great work out experience. Only thing I hated was the pillows! I didn't get a good night sleep AT ALL. They had 4 pillows on the king bed - just wish they […] had diff fluff factors for them. Stayed at the hotel for a week. My room was Bay side.. Beautiful! Listened to music from the patio bar in the evenings. Crabby Patty's food, excellent, food servers excellent, greeters...HORRIBLE 1st night inside tables empty asked to sit by the window and have a drink was told to get my own drink at the bar? When the waitress came to the table she […] looked puzzled..I told her the greeter told me I had to get my own. 3rd night had guests asked for window seat was told I had to wait to be seated until the waitress caught up with her orders. 3 couples were also told to wait ,the room had 10 open tables 4 staff behind the counter doing talking and one waitress running her buns off. Went and sat down anyway. One of the 4 should have been seating people and the other 3 should have been helping the waitress get her orders out. Not making the customers stand at the door??? NO SENSE Mehr

This hotel was older and not well-maintained. The bathrooms were pretty nasty and the staff were not friendly. The bar across the bay was so loud we could hear it inside the room all night long. I wouldn't stay there again.

The hotel was clean and well-furnished. The location is great - getting around is convenient in any direction. The fitness center was very good and very clean; very high quality equipment, and overlooking the water. We did not do much exploring on foot, but getting around by car was very easy. the rooms have no safes, therefore you have to use their safes at the front desk, which we did. When we came to pick up our belongings, all our cash had disappeared!!!!! They have a very poor (outdated) safe system!

Great location. Easy access to the downtown area and Clearwater Beach. Hotel was not "fancy" but was relatively clean and decent service.

Booked a room with a king bed the same day I checked in. Was pleasantly surprised to get a room that was about twice the size of a standard room. Maybe it was because right behind the elevator. Still I felt like royalty with 2 TVs and a very comfortable bed. I only stayed one night yet it was a very pleasant experience for me. I would definitely book […] here again next time I am in town. Not a bad place top stay and the price was good. Located along the bay near the airport - not really a beach hotel as you wouldn't want to swim in the water there. However, pool is nice and staff were friendly. Location is not great if you like to walk to other places such as restaurants, stores, etc, but the shuttle service was excellent and will take […] you to area malls and restaurants. Room was comfortable, albeit the bathroom was dated and the toilet ran and needed to be readjusted every time it was used. Bed was comfortable, flat screen tv was great, free internet was nice. restaurant was ok - nothing to write home about. I was kind of surprised that they wouldn't give us a room on the bay unless we paid additional since the hotel seemed pretty empty. Just seems to me that providing upgrades during a slow time is a good business practice. A decent hotel - mostly occupied by Southwest Airlines flight crews. This was a nice hotel. The bed was super comfy and the view from our balcony was amazing. My only complaints were the hard towels and the coffee pot and fridge were kept in the bathroom which , to me, was unsanitary. The fridge was on the bathroom floor, we only stayed one night so we didnt need it so it wasnt a major problem. Had we been staying longer […] and needed to store food I would have really been upset. Location is the best possible if You are on your way to the airport. But without an own car, there is nothing. The restaurant in the hotel area is not worth of visiting. The reception was too busy, or the attitude was not so nice.

If you have plans to relax and chill out from the busy routine, then this is the place to be. Very good location and proximity from the Hard Rock and other attractions.
