Comfort Inn Sedona - Sedona

Very loud.and just borderline acceptable.way over priced,both for the area and for the venue.This is on our never again list.

We were disappointed by these accommodations. The Kings Ransom Hotel next door to Kings Ransom Inn is much nicer in appearance and quality. We felt a bit shafted when we saw the difference between the two accommodations, particularly for the steep price we paid for two rooms. The rooms at the Inn were not well insulated for sound. I could hear the heavy […] footsteps and running water from the room above us clearly. The Elote Cafe, operated by Kings Ransom Hotel next door to the Inn offers delicious food, but the crowd is pretentious and the fact that you need to line up outside an hour before the restaurant opens rather than making a reservation is obnoxious. There are over 100 restaurants in the area to choose from, and I recommend avoiding the wait if you're simply looking for dinner. Mehr

This is really a low budget place but is in an excellent location in Sedona. Walking distance to restaurants, hikes, shopping, the creek. The place was clean and well kept. The soap, shampoo, lotion, etc are in dispensers in the shower and on the wall by the sink. The sink area is not located in the bathroom with the toilet and shower, it is in the […] bedroom area. I would not stay here if I was going to be spending a lot of time at the hotel using their facilities which in this case would be the pool as that's all they have. They have a restaurant at their sister location right next door but it was 'closed for vacation' for 2-weeks while we were there. If you are in Sedona to hike, bike, hang in the creek, etc., this is an OK place and I'd stay here again if on a tight budget. Mehr

I mean you really can't get a bad place there with the scenery. The hotel was, meh. But, the right price, extremely friendly & helpful staff. Light breakfast. pool. And very expensive. It's NOT a spa, but it's do-able for a night or two on a BUDGET. The "ELOTE" cafe was closed for 2 weeks - that sucked since they bragged about it being the best in Sedona. […] :( Mehr

King's Ransom (the hotel, not to be confused with the Inn) is an older property which allegedly has some updated rooms, but we didn't get one... apparently all the dog-friendly rooms are older ones, so be prepared if you come with a pet. Everything was clean enough, but be ready for small bathrooms with low ceilings and single sinks, and somewhat dated […] furniture. We had two queen beds, and the mattresses were perfectly adequate though not outstanding. The smallish bathroom had everything we needed except a second sink. We only paid a two-figure base rate, so the value was very good given the convenient location between "downtown" Sedona and Oak Creek. Check-in was easy once some initial confusion was resolved, and the maid service was friendly and easy to communicate with. We did not use the pool/spa or on-site restaurant. At night things were reasonably quite despite the Hotel's location right on Hwy 179. We were able to quickly walk over to the Hillside shopping area which has galleries and restaurants. Another plus of the location is walking access to the Marg's Draw trail, which can be taken north to Schnebly Hill/Huckaby Trail or south to the Broken Arrow Trail (note that mountain bikes are not allowed on Marg's Draw due to the "wilderness designation -- which we found to be a bit of a slap in the face, though admittedly there are many other great mtn bike trails in Sedona). The bottom line on KRH is that it represents good value if having a more modern style room is not crucial to your enjoyment (if it is and you want a dog friendly property, try Amara). Mehr

My only complaint was that all rooms were assigned before guests even arrived. Because of knee problems we preferred a first floor room, but had to settle for the second floor. It was not easy.

Bedspreads were dirty, carpet was not vacuumed well, complimentary breakfast was poor compared to competition, no one at front desk at night. I will not return.

Not enough luggage racks, so this pregnant momma had to lug all of her bag all the way out to the parking lot with toddlers in tow in three trips.
