DoubleTree by Hilton Albuquerque - Albuquerque

This hotel is a bit outdated from my experience with other Double Tree's. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. It can be a bit loud. The hotel bar and restaurant are nice. The gym is good but the pool in tiny. I think this hotle is okay. A bit out of date and not the cleanest. I stayed 4 nights and my room was never wiped down or vacummed.

It was a great stay aside from the air in our room was not working properly.

Comfortable beds, wonderful staff.

Clean facility, professional and personable staff, best part- they just added Coke product vending machines.

A beautiful room with great service. Room service was quick, delicious, and affordable. Free shuttle to airport and Old Town - great service! If you have to be in Albuquerque, a great hotel choice!

I was attending a conference close-by, so this hotel was very convenient for that. The room was nice and they offered shuttle service to and from the airport. The front-desk agents were also friendly and helpful. Overall, a positive experience.

This was my first time in Albuquerque and this hotel made all the difference. They give you fresh, delicious cookies when you check in (you can get as many as you like throughout your stay). Service was exceptional and the overall feel was very cozy.

The doubletree has nice rooms and is in a convenient location for travelers to Albuquerque. Much as i like th the comfort of the rooms, There were two things that disappointed me. First, and a caveat to other guests, is the deceptive looking dresser/cabinet under the television. It's a funny story, just not to funny to me because I was hit in the eye […] by the cabinet when I mistakenly opened the bottom drawer handle which ended up being a whole cabinet door that hit me I the eye resulting in a nice bleeding cut under my eye and a black eye before I had to give a presentation. While the management did provide me Ice, they were reluctant to comment about the tricky dresser/cabinet combo that has eight matching pseudo drawers on each side. To make the stay worse, when I returned to the hotel I decided to take a bath. When I ran the water in the tub it was yellowish. Again I informed management and they did send someone up from maintenance promptly who informed us they were having issues with the plumbing. Also, the room service food was terrible and the portions were ridiculously large. While I would stay there again if offered a bargain, I would never pay the rate they are currently charging for a room. There are other better deals with just as nice or better rooms in close proximity. Mehr

most of the staff was friendly and professional. One notable exception had a nose piercing. Overall experience was pleasant.

I travel often. This hotel is attractive in many ways. First, the shuttle was readily available and offered service to the airport, downtown, and University sporting arenas. The rooms were typical Hilton rooms, above average. Lastly, Crystal heads up a clean and inviting bar lobby bar.

Hotel was all that we were looking for - only complaint is that the lobby area was very bland. Nothing Southwest about it at all. Room with king size bed and large bathroom was very nice and very comfortable. Free shuttle to the Old Town Plaza worked out real well also.

Within walking distance to Central Ave N.W. where there are a few restaurants to take in. Gold's on Gold Ave comes to mind. The staff are friendly. It is difficult to get a coffee that isn't from the room or room service. No open Starbucks or alternate coffeeshop available without driving in the late evening. Didn't like paying for parking when there […] is no other option. It was a quiet location for that time of year, but is is across from the convention center, so I am sure it gets busier and noisier. We had a lot of trouble with this hotel from the beginning. Although we booked well in advance (and pre-paid) our room was not available and we were put in a "parlor" room with a roll-out sofa bed and a floor roll-out. It took the staff almost an hour to deliver the floor roll out. We were told we would be compensated with 2 nights free parking and […] when we got the billing, there was a $0 balance. Some unknown charge later showed up on my credit card. I'm now in the process of resolving that. We were also given 1 free drink at the bar as compensation, but that only covered a few options (house wine or beer). The staff appeared to be working hard, but the management of the hotel was poor in my opinion. I won't stay again. Mehr

Arrived only to be told that hotel had overbooked. The only room the staff said was available was a "parlor room" whose only bed was a pullout queen-sized sofa bed (we had reserved a standard room with hotels.com months before). After we called hotels.com the hotel magically had a last minute cancelation for a room with a king-sized bed but told us […] it wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes (this was at 5:30 in the afternoon). This rigamarole was our only real complaint. The room was nice and clean and we had a very good "room service" meal. Mehr

awful experience. This is the first time I heard about overbooking a hotel room. I requested a King non smoking room for 2 nights, and they did not give me the specific room on either one of the days. For the first night, we had to stay in a parlor room with not even one bed in it. Customer service is horrible. Neither the reception people nor their […] 'manager' knows what they are talking about. We wante to go to the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque and had I made a reservation for a non-smoking room more than 6 months in advance. And when we checked in, we were told all the non-smoking rooms had been taken. They could only provide us with a smoking room at that moment but promised to switch us to a non-smoking room the next day. So we had no […] choice but stayed in the smoking room. As soon as we walked out from the elevator, we could smell the strong cigarette smell and it was even much stronger when we entered the room. Also, during the night, we could hear people talking very loud outside so we didn't have very good sleep. The next day we went and talk to the receptionist but were told that they couldn't switch the room for us because the non-smoking rooms were still not available. We really complained about the smell of the room and told them we really needed a non-smoking, which we booked more than 6 months ago and they also promised yesterday. But they still couldn't give it to us. We felt we weren't their important customers at all. I won't go back there and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Mehr

Employees were helpful and friendly, the location was nice, free internet was a plus. The parking lot spaces were crowed, small, and tough to navigate- it would have been alright but we paid $10/day for that parking nightmare.

Close to all the downtown action. Within three blocks of Central Avenue. Great hotel!

rude rude rude and it smells. like a nursing homeand the orange juice was spoiled

Due to family needs, our vacation was interrupted to deal with family needs. Did not have the opportunity to stay in this motel and lost our cost of stay due to non-refundable rates.

The room we stayed in was overall comfy, however when my daughter went to the bathroom to wash her hands, the water wouldn't shut off. The Elevator broke down, you have to pay for parking with a parking lot that is not big enough for as many rooms they have. Then to top it off, they over charged my account for almost the price of another nights stay, […] for what I don't know, because I can't get accounting to call me back. Mehr

Hotel not concerned with ADA disabilities. Limited elevator service due to poor maintenance, outside door reader was not working for 2 days. Bad experience. Food was OK.

Overall the hotel wasn't bad. If anything it was a little too spartan for my taste. The lobby had all the charm of a hospital waiting room. Our room was small but well furnished and clean. The walls were typical hotel thin and we got to hear the romantic adventures of our neighbors a little more than I liked. But thats not something that can always […] be helped. There was a graduation party in one of the ballrooms and I'm assuming the party was moving up to the hotel rooms as the night wore on. A few individuals got fairly loud and rowdy in the hallway of the 13th floor. Security handled it effectively if not all that quickly. The pool was fair at best, but the exercise room was nice for the size with excellent equipment. The hotel was situated in downtown Albuqurque. This has its good points and bad. Weekend traffic wasnt bad and access to most of the city was quick and easy, but there wasnt much going around the hotel itself. There was a dance club in the lower levels of the building that drew in quite a few college kids in the evening. I think this hotel may have suited a younger more urban crowd than my wife and I fall into. Overall, I'd say stay there if you can get a good deal, but I wouldnt pay full price if I could avoid it. Only thing I hated was no breakfast was included in the booking.

I swear I saw gun shots in the side of the building. Biker convention there while I was visiting. Scream,loud, girls.(hope it was prom).

What a nightmare in the beginning of my stay. I got to the hotel and they told me all they had left was "half a suite". Thinking that was I good thing:( NOT. They told me it was the half without a BED....but there was a sleeper sofa. WHAT???? I refused to stay there and paid much less for a king size bed down the street. Hotels.com fixed it the next […] day, but the manager at night was rude and asked "What do you want ME to do about it." I did go back for the remaining 2 days, but this got everything off to an unacceptable start. Mehr

The hotel charges $10 for parking but is right next to the convention center. The roon was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is not included in the cost of the room.

There are better hotels near by at the same cost.

We really enjoyed our stay and would go back again. The beds and furniture was comfortable and nice givning you a warm feeling.
