Für einen Konferenz im Cold Spring Harbor (CSH) habe ich das Hotel gebucht, da ich erfahren habe, dass CSH Shuttle Service von und hin zum Hotel anbietet. Als ich dann erfahren habe, dass es sich um einen Motel handelt war ich etwas beunruhigt. ABER das Hotel war sehr sauber, die Leute waren nett und das Hotel bot sogar kostenlose Shuttle Service zum Syosett Bahnhof und andere Gebiete an. Was sehr gut ist, denn sonst kommt man dort nicht WEG! Sehr schlechte Verkehrsverbindungen. Autos bzw. Shuttle Büsse sind ein MUSS. Woodberry selbst hat auch nicht viel zu bieten. Aber in der Nähe z.B. in Deer Park kann man sehr gut einkaufen. Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel weiter empfehlen, vorallem wenn man in dieser Gegend irgendwo übernachten muss.

Schönes B&B Hotel

Das Hotel macht einen gepflegten Eindruck, hat freundliches Personal (außer den Zimmermädchen) und liegt verkehrsgünstig in der Nähe des Long Island Expressways, sodass auch Manhatten (außerhalb der Stosszeiten) relativ schnell per Auto zu erreichen ist. Auch sind die schönen LI Strände im Süden innerhalb von 20-30 Auto-Minuten zu erreichen. Das Factory Outlet Areal bei Riverhead im Osten von LI ist ca. 45 Auto-Minuten entfernt und hat eine riesige Auswahl an Shops. Auf Grund seiner Ausstattung, seines Komforts und auch seiner Lage ist das Hotel zu empfehlen. Gastronomisch könnte allerdings noch etwas zugelegt werden

Das La Quinta Inn ist ein schönes, sauberes Hotel. Das Frühstück war umfangreich, es gab sogar Obst. Sehr angenehm war, dass man auch kurz nach der offiziellen Frühstückszeit noch etwas bekommen konnte und von allem ausreichend da war. Zu bemägeln gab es nur, dass das Kartenlesegerät an der hinteren Eingangstür nicht gut funktionierte und man auf Hilfe von Innen angewiesen war. Es waren viele Hunde im Hotel.
Lage
Hampton Inn Long Island liegt in Commack. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeit befindet sich in der Umgebung: Stonebridge Golf Links and Country Club. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region gehören: Sunken Meadow State Park und Adventureland Amusement Park.
Ausstattung
Dieses Hotel verfügt über Folgendes: Bar/Lounge. Jeden Morgen wird Ihnen ein kostenloses Frühstück serviert. Ein kostenloser W-LAN Highspeed-Internetzugang steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Außerdem gehört Folgendes zum Angebot: PC-Arbeitsplatz. Im ca. 54 Hektar großen Hoyt Farm Park Preserve in Commack befindet sich eine Nachbildung eines Wigwams der amerikanischen Ureinwohner, der vor der Ankunft der europäischen Kolonisten in ganz Long Island zahlreich zu finden war. Der Wald in diesem Park ist ein Vogelreservat. In Commack selbst befindet sich außerdem die National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame mit Museum. Im Norden der Stadt bietet der Governor Alfred E. Smith / Sunken Meadow State Park einen drei Kilometer langen Strand. Im Winter kann hier auch Langlauf betrieben werden.

"Relaxing Weekend"
I come to Long Island every other weekend and this is were i stay. w/o a doubt this is the only place i stay. The comp breakfest is out of this world.The diner across the street from it has some of the best food in all of Long Island
"Hampton Inn Long Island"
My wife and I came up for a funeral for a dear friend. Th Location was excellent (the viewing and service was on Commack Road. The room was very clean, the hotel was in excellent condition, the continental breakfast was excellent and the coffee bar was just what we needed. "fine hotel, met our needs"
Everything was just fine. We were attending a funeral. Only possible change would be to add an additonal chair to the room. Only chair was the professional style desk chair. Would have enjoyed a place to sit other than bed, as there were 2 adults in the room and we had some time to spend in the room.

"Excelent Value"
Great value for the price. The hotel was well maintained and clean, had all the amenities I would expect and a little more. The complimentary coffee and breakfast was unexpected! The location was a little busy, but the room was quiet and comfortable.

"Commack Hampton Inn"
Overall, we had a very nice stay at the Commack Hampton Inn. The staff was very professional and very nice. The breakfast was tasty and had a lot of variety. The furniture was comfortable. However, the comforter was lumpy to the point of having many places where it was just the top & bottom layer of fabric and many other places where it was up to 6" […] thick. We put the extra blanket on top of it and managed to stay warm, but the comforter was AWFUL. Mehr

"Hampton Inn"
Poor customer service at front desk upon arrival and the beds were terribly hard. In the morning we smelled people smoking thru our bathroom vent in the ceiling.

"Do something about room A/C!!"
Nicely renovated; good amenities; overall excellent hotel for money. Nice buffet breakfast. But PLEASE....the room air conditioners are terrible. The NOISE. When the compressor kicks on and off it is like a plane has landed next to your window. It is hard to sleep during the night.
"Surprised"
We've stayed at many Hampton Inns before but this one was surprisingly upscale. Room was beautiful and comfortable.

"Nice looking room"
The rooms look newly renovated and clean. Bathroom products are average as are sheet quality. Pillows could absolutely be better but were sufficient for one night. Overall, rooms were clean, and comfortable, staff was helpful but slow, breakfast looked yummy but there is a delicious dinner right next door (we walked there). "Fabulous Hotel"
This is the 2nd time my fiance and I have stayed in a Hamptions Inn hotel. The rooms have been extremely clean and comfortable. Once the door is closed - it is wonderfully quiet. I will definitely seek out this chain again when I travel.

I travel allot for business. I was very pleased to find such a clean comfortable hotel for the price. Staff very nice! Fresh baked cookies available most of the day with coffee and tea. Close to stores and food. Highly recommend, will go back
Since we were in the area for a funeral the sights were of little importance to us. The accomodations were clean and the personnel helpful and friendly. The hotel buffet breakfast was tasteful and abundant, and very much appreciated
