Wir waren für 2Tage im Fairfield Inn. Es war sehr gut zu finden und der Check in verlief problemlos. Das Zimmer war sauber, nur die Fenster sollte man mal putzen. Der PC in der Lobby war extrem langsam. Das Frühstück war reichhalting und hat uns gut geschmeckt. We stayed in San Antonio for 3 nights at this hotel. The staff were wonderful, but the hotel needs updating to look cleaner and fresh. They were doing wall papering in the entry area when we arrived, so I gladly took a room on the third floor instead of the first. Found the exercise area at an end room on the 3rd floor. It consisted of a tredmill, eliptical, […] sit down bike, and free weights. It was a small space, but sufficient to get a workout. There was a city bus stop within a block of the hotel, but it was quite a long walk to downtown area... At least 5 blocks. El Mercado is a 3 block walk, but it was nerve-racking to walk the area after dark. Keep your guard up. We had no issues and a good vacation. Mehr

main lobby and breakfast area is very small. rooms are showing wear. musty smells due to indoor pool. the service staff is very nice and accommodating. good location to main highways on south side of town. close to main sites. stayed here as my conference hotel was overbooked. rates are reasonable for the area.

Our room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Walking distance to the market and to the trolley that takes you to the Riverwalk. Only downside was during our stay the morning breakfast area was so crowded it was hard to get to anything.

Walking distance to market square, great staff, clean rooms. We enjoyed our time there. The gym could have been better.

I first want to say that for the price it wasn't terrible, but when I was looking at the hotel prior to booking the room I looked at the pictures and saw that they had suites and I thought that was what I was booking. it did have an indoor pool just like the picture showed but it was pretty small. They also advertised a workout room. I could not find […] one in the hotel at all. over all my family and I had fun on our trip but it wasn't because of the hotel. Mehr

Hotel was rather convenient to El Mercado - within walking distance. The morning breakfast was really good - not the simple cereals, donuts, and muffins that usually pass for a cheap morning fare. They had hard-boiled egges and egg sandwiches too. Well done! I also compliment the employee who kept the breakfast items resupplied quickly and the area […] very clean. I recommend the hotel. Mehr

For the price of the room it didn't come with a refridgerator and microwave, surprised by that. The towels in room was still damp when my wife and I showered. It had only one elevator and it was crowded and busy most of the time. The seating area for the continental breakfast was very limited.

We had to move 4 times and each room was not to our satisfaction. Beds were not clean, we found human hair in the bed, mold in the bathroom, heater fan was too loud...sounded like static from a radio. We were very disappointed and will not book there again.

Pros: Best price Close to everything Easy access to freeway Staff was beyond fantastic Best free breakfast ever! Cons: The only rooms they offer with two beds are doubles. We are use to King size bed and the double size bed felt tiny. Beds were still comfy though. The pool was not heated. A big let down for the kids.

We got a great price on our room for our recent stay, hotel was close enough for us to walk to what we wanted to see, really close to Market Square, where we loved the Mexican Restaurant, La Margarita. Only fault, our room, on first floor, while clean, had a strong deodorant,air freshner smell. When we asked about it, were told it was a pod they use […] to make room smell good, we had it removed, so it wasn't quite so strong! Mehr

I was completely satisfied with my stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites in San Antonio near Market Square. I was attending an event at The Alamodome. The location is perfect for anyone attending an event at The Alamodome. It is less then two miles away down one of the streets which borders the Dome. It is also within walking distance of great restaurants […] in the Market Square. The room was very clean, comfortable and stylish. With a living area, microwave, and fridge. Parking is plentiful, well lighted and safe. The staff was friendly and helpful. I could not have enjoyed me stay more. Mehr

I only needed a room to stay in after a late night concert. This room was perfect for that. The carpet in the hallway smelled funny but the room was fine. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

The hotel definitely did not match the description online. It was definitely clean and the staff were great but the hotel itself felt very old and tired. I thought we would be able to walk to the Riverwalk but that was not the case. Had to catch a public bus to get there and back.

For starters the fact that Fairfield Inn is close to downtown and all the "must see" local attractions. It was only hotel close in with free parking and free internet -that was attractive since all downtown hotels charges a bundle for both. Suite was large, served breakfast-great coffee (a first for hotel continental breakfast), indoor pool and 1/2 […] blk to San Antonio VIP city bus/ trolley to catch a ride downtown and many other areas. Great because parking downtown is expensive whether in lots or hotels. Walk to Riverwalk is about 3/4 mile but if hot, not adviseable. VIP one day pass is $4 for seniors, well worth it unless you have large group. Criticism of hotel: Bad mold condition on ceiling of bathroom, A/C ran 24/7 could never adjust fan, hotel ran out of facecloths (yes no lie), no frig in room. Overall it is a good choice especially for families. Would stay again Mehr

Had a very friendly and helpful staff but the hotel itself, although clean, is quite dated. Was supposed to have a frige in room and did not. Parking was an issue during our stay. No place real handy to eat expect Pizza Hut. But overall not a bad place to stay.

I hated the fact that all of the employees complained all day and the guest heard all about it. A lady working in the breakfast area complained about how she now had to be there at 5 instead of 6 how her back hurt how they were adding to her duties all this while I tried to eat breakfast. The help did not have a service elevator so in the morning while […] everyone was trying to have breakfast or check out the elevators were backed up. House keeping did not come in to our room one day untill 4 by then we had already taken out trash and switched out towels. Television and tables dusty carpet was not vacumed and linens were not changed daily. There was no privacy to use the one computer availiable to guest it is located in the ever so small lobby where people coming and going can see your work. Mehr

We arrived at about 1030am which was very early for check-in. They were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early so we could stash our luggage and enjoy the rest of the day.

Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Close to the Market too!!

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Clean rooms, courteous friendly staff, and convenient location! We took the trolley to the Riverwalk and Market Square. Would stay again!

Great location close to the Riverwalk. Trolley picks you up around the corner, and your at the riverwalk in less than 10 minutes. The hotel was very clean and staff was helpful.

My family and I had a wonderful time visiting San Antonio. The day we checked into the hotel we were asked for our credit card to put a $40 hold for incidentals. When the card was ran we were told that it was not going through, which is odd because I had used the card for this specific trip only. I proceeded to use another card and while reviewing my […] accounts online, I saw two charges on the card that would not go through the 1st was for $240 on the 3rd of the month and the 2nd for $20 on the 4th of the month. Keep in mind the hotel has already been charged to my card. The second card I gave also had a $240 pending charge on it. My husband spoke to the front desk and the gentleman that helped him appologized and lifted one of the holds but could not say which he lifted cause they were both mastercards. What my question was is how did the charge go from $40 to having a pending charge of $240 and an additional $20 when I never gave my card a second time. We checked out on Sunday morning and I continued to check the status on my account and still have not had the hold lifted from my card. I called during the week and still no change. I contacted the hotel and credit card company and have had no success in getting the situation handled. The credit card company did a conference call with the merchant and when they were asked for the merchant number to automatically remove the hold, the girl said she did not have that number. I was told that she emailed the accountant for the merchant number but had not received any reply over a 5 hour period. My husband tried calling and requested to speak to the manager, he was told that he would be placed on hold for 5 to 10 minutes or that he could always have the manager call him back. We still have not heard from the "manager". I was very happy with the service we received during our stay, however it feels like since we checked out they have not been willing to help us at all and do not seem to care if their customers. This hotel was perfect for us. Close to the market, and only a trolley ride away from everything else! The room was perfectly clean and had everything that was promised on the site. Definitely worth the money. I plan on staying here again, and letting all the friends and family know about this hotel as well.

Really clean & comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was really nice. 5 mins from riverwalk area.

We had a great time here at FairField... the staff were great and i am sure with a FULL house were able to meet all our expectations.. Thank you!

Upon arrival at 5 pm our rooms were not ready. We waited 25 minutes for the first room and an hour after that we were given access to our second room. The next morning the hotel ran out of milk at breakfast and then had no towels for the pool...a detail we would have liked to have been privvy to prior to submerging ourselves in the pool. We had to wait […] 30 minutes for towels to come out of the dryer. Our stay was only one night, but it felt longer because of all the issues we encountered. Will not stay here again. This hotel gave us too much to worry about when traveling with kids. Mehr

Great bargain for the money. Front desk staff was A+

The Fairfield in San Antonio is very convenient to the River Walk and the Alamo. Just around the corner from the hotel is the bus stop which will take you there. The cost is only $1.10 We were able to enjoy ourselves without worrying about parking a car.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and clean. The neighborhood the hotel is in is questionable at best, but the hotel does have lots of light and I felt safe on the grounds. Two complaints: 1. The breakfast area was small and crowded. 2. The door to the outside in the pool area did not have any privacy blinds. Thus, anyone walking […] around in the parking lot can look in and see you....a little creepy at night. Mehr

Was very satisfied. Rooms were small, but nice. Pool looked nice but didn't get a chance to swim. Taxi ride to riverwalk is cheap. Free parking at the hotel. You could walk to the Riverwalk if you had good shoes and good weather. Breakfast was great. Easy check-out.

Just a few blocks from Market Square. Easy access to a VIA trolley for access to all downtown S.A. Indoor pool was nice for the kids, Justice at the front desk was very helpful.

Yo queria una habitacion tipo "Suite" con sofa-cama y no habia disponibilidad para las 2 noches, entonces me dieron habitacion chica con una cama individual extra pero me faltaba espacio para acomodar mis maletas y paquetes. Y en el comedor, muy apretado, no habia espacio. Habitacion muy limpia y ordenada. Alberca con el agua muy muy helada, no aguantamos […] en el agua ni 15 min. Mehr
