Dunkles Zimmer, die Bezüge beider Sessel zerschlitzt. Fenster direkt zu einer befahrenen Straße, Schalldämmung geht anders. Rezeption nicht immer besetzt, Service pflichtgemäßes 0815. Ein Ort, der ertragen werden kann weil die Stadt dann entschädigt.

Das Hotel lag meiner Meinung nach verkehrsgünstig. Unser Auto fand jeden Abend einen Platz im direkt am Hotel befindlichen überdachten Parkplatz. Leider waren 9 Dollar pro Nacht dafür fällig. Das Zimmer war ok, wir konnten gut schlafen. Das Personal war im Vergleich zu einigen anderen amerikanischen Unterkünften, die wir im Verlauf der Reise noch hatten, […] recht freundlich. Das Frühstück war vergleichsweise auch ganz gut für ein kontinentales. Man konnte sogar Waffeln selbst backen. Würde dieses Hotel wieder für einen kurzen Aufenthalt wählen. Wir haben es auch megagünstig bekommen, wenn man die Preise anderer Anbieter gesehen hat. Mehr

Well it's ok for the price.

The only thing going for this hotel is that most of the kitschy touristy sites - Walk of Fame, Grauman's, etc. - are within 5 - 10 minute driving distance. The Hollywood Freeway (Route 101) is up the street. Griffith Park Observatory is also accessible. The hotel is in a slightly gritty section immediately west of downtown LA - not exactly ghetto, […] but plenty of dollar stores and check cashing services. Not a place you would enjoy walking around. Room itself was barely livable. Bathroom had wallpaper that was peeling in certain places. The toilet tank ran on a regular interval, throughout the whole night, interrupting sleep. If you want a nice experience in LA, but don't mind a little driving to the tourist attractions, pick a place along the coast like Venice - walkable neighborhoods and great vibe. It's the only part of LA I enjoyed anyway. Mehr

This is one of the worst hotels i have ever used ! Smelled of mildew ! There must be leak somewhere.

Great value for money. Only letdown was the area it was in.

the hotel was nice. But i have to praise their breakfast in the morning. yummy. U can make waffles. They had sausage,eggs bagels. It was great for my kids.

They hotel was very convenient to the places we wanted to visit, which was Hollywood, Chinatown and downtown LA.The room we stayed in was very spacious, and clean. A breakfast buffet was part of the package, an upgrade from the continental breakfast that was advertised. It had a Belgian waffle iron for us to made our own waffle. Loved it. The room was ok...although the bathroom door was obviously off set. Was good location for purpose of our visit (hollywood) area. Would stay again if in the area.

1st time staying at this hotel and initially picked it for the rates. The room was a bit old, ie cracked wallpaper and we heard quite a bit of sirens go by but we were on a major street. Other than that, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast wasn't bad and the staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

Hotel located brilliantly very clean and fresh rooms and service is great. Complimentary Breakfast is satisfactory and parking facility available although $8 per night

Booked hotel the same day I got there. Reasonable price on hotels dot com but failed to mention you have to pay for parking and owner charged me even more for having more than 2 guest. (never had a problem like this before) Had some friends over for a little while and owner kept nagging at us "NO PARTIES" when we were just catching up with old friends […] and left to the bars to "party". Whole time I felt under surveillance by a hotel father when we are respectable adults. And no one was at least friendly to us at all except for the cleaning lady which we left a nice tip for. people that ran it were very nice. motel is just not in very good shape. Curtains had mildew on them, bathroom caulking was cracking and had mildew. Comtinental breakfast was good.

i have to give some kudos to the management for greeting there returning guest by last name. its a very warm welcoming. =)

I like this hotel. Price was reasonable. High speed internet supported streaming video. Staffs were kind. Price per performance is very high!!

This hotel is like 10 mins drive to Universal Studios and to Hollywood blvd. It was a good stay overall.

This hotel needs extensive remodel. Everything shows age and heavy use over the years. The property is clean to the extent they can clean. Forget breakfast. By the time we got there, there was nothing left and they still had one more hour to go. The location is convinient right off highway. It was surprisingly quiet given it is located on the very busy […] street right next to highway. I would not stay there for a family vacation to Universal Studio. Mehr

The room was descent, fairly clean and beds fine. The reception and breakfast, was very simple but worked fine. The location worked well as we had a car, hence it was easy to get around in LA.

We stayed at this place for our LA sight seeing and it was perfect. It was right next to Metro station which made commute easier. They provide complimentary break fast and the room even had a micro wave which added to the convenience. The staff were very courteous. Overall, it was total value for the money.

Stayed in room 304 and overall had a good experience. The room was clean and comfortable and price was decent. The best feature is the hot tub in the room! We found it quite relaxing to sip wine and watch a movie from. Some first-world gripes here... We were on the top floor and could not connect to the WiFi during the entire stay. Not sure if that […] has to do with being on the top floor or the hotel was having technical issues. Stayed for 2 nights and the key card expired after the first night. Quite annoying to reach the top floor and find out your room key doesn't work. Had to pay additional to park in the hotel parking structure. Shouldn't that be comped to guests of the hotel? Elevator groans and lurches. For those with elevator fears would recommend taking the stairs. Overall was pretty satisfied with the stay. Mehr

We stayed here before by accidently finding it in a Los Angles neighboorhood that we were driving through. The rooms were clean and bed bug free. The breakfast was adequate if you got there early--it you come near the end of the service most is not replenished. Considering the price it is a great deal in the Los Angles area. We were happy with the covered […] parking--although even though hotel.com tells you it is free--it is not. However for 8 dollars it was not a big deal. A great spot to sleep and catch some rest for a busy tired traveler. Meets basic comfort and safety standards. Mehr

The room was bigger than expected and the beds were very comfortable. Nice continental breakfast served every morning, free internet and parking was 8/day. for indoor protected space. It was better that expected.

I pretty much paid for a decent room to sleep in on a very convenient location (went to see a show at the hollywood palladium). And that was it. Service was by far the worst we've experienced. The breakfast attendants do not speak English. Front-desk was not welcoming (like they OWN the place) and insisted 11am is regular check-out time and 12 is late […] check-out, when 12noon is what's posted in the room and online. Hotel "guest" pay parking for $8 a day. It's a 2-star hotel, there's a reason for that. Lesson learned. Not gonna stay here again nor would I recommend it to others. I don't write reviews but this stay was too extraordinary I had to warn others. Mehr

This hotel is in an idea location to Universal Studios (15 minutes down the 101) However, the area the hotel is located in is grim. There was nowhere decent within walking distance to eat apart from Dennys. If you just need a room for the night and don't intend to go out at night it is fine. Plenty of parking with the hotel.

TOOO SMALL of rooms. Bad neighborhood. Very hot in breakfast room and supply of food for breakfast was not kept up with the demand of the number of people eating. Coffee ran out.

I enjoyed my stay herevery much and I liked that it was within a few miles of popular attractions. :)

If you are looking for busy traffic lots of people this is your stop. The hotel staff was very polite. I did some what enjoyed my stay here besides my room smelling like a funeral home. #creepy. Anyways, the hotel is next door to the bus pick up and underground subway so there will be a lot people always outdoors. On a good side this place is only 4 […] minutes from Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd, Universal Studios, and much more. I hope this helps someone. Mehr

I guess I expected more for the price.. the elevator and the hallways looks and smells old but the rooms are remodelled and comfortable.. I think that's all that counts..

Train station is just at the foot step of the hotel. Excellent location to commute between various locations.

Room was clean. I was happy that even though breakfast was supposed to end at 9am they kept it going well past that time. Make sure you plan on waiting in line to use the waffle maker as they only have ONE, and it takes 2 and a half minutes for one waffle to cook. 5 people in line means a 12 minute wait.

The hospitality, location and free Internet/ Breakfast all get beaten because of poor facility maintenance. I wish the owner pays attention to it.

We booked this hotel got the proximity it offers to the universal studios and due to the high guest rating. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel needs a makeover. New carpets and new curtains required. The sheets and towels were clean, but the towels looked worn out, almost thread bare. Breakfast was ok. We couldn't sleep the whole night due […] to noisy neighbors in the next room and people talking loud in the corriders at all times. We would probably not stay there again, but if you want an affordable place with clean sheets, this is fine. Microwave and fridge in the room is a plus. Mehr

Great location for seeing Hollywood.

This hotel have very thin walls, you can tell what everyone is doing next to your room, which if you have kids is not good at all. also there is some construction going on next to the hotel. so this means if you are just going for an in and out stay is fine but if you want to get some sleep, this is not the place... also there were some people being […] very loud and rude next to our room and hotel didn't kick people out until 4am.. this was worse than staying in a cheapy motel Mehr

The hotel was in a very convenient location, right off the Ventura Freeway. Not the greatest area, but it did seem safe. We had a car and it was very close to Universal Studios and Hollywood. They did charge us $8 for parking. Breakfast was provided but not a very good selection.

The hotel was a bit run down though the rooms were OK and the bathroom was good. No swimming pool was a surprise for a hotel in Los Angeles. It really is near to Universal and by the end of the long day and evening there is was good to only have a 10-15 minute ride back to the room. Free breakfast was not exciting, and the donuts ran out early, but […] it was OK for the price. The tour busses will pick you up right at the hotel if you don't want to face the LA freeways. Definitely not a luxury hotel, but a bed to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Mehr
