The W is a pretty cool hotel. The staff was probably the best resource. I often feel like a rockstar, and was treated as such. From the valet to the front desk staff they were very attentive. There are stained glass windows on the adjoing wall to the living area, as well as to the bathroom door so total privacy is really not an option. The location doesn't get much better. It is in the center of everything, and is within walking distance to Lenox Square Mall. For the single male travelers the scenery is great as well. The night life in the hotel is vibrant. I stayed on the 11th floor just below one of the night clubs, and it was a bit noisy, which the front service desk asked me if I were okay with during check in. It wasn't overwhelming, and it subsided around 2am when the club closed, so I didn't mind to much. I hear that all floors below this one really had no noise issues. Overall, it is a really cool place. I'm 33 with a youthful exuberance, still, somewhat abound. I think the 25-40 age range would really love, and appreciate the hotel, and the location. Mehr

Great location...nice lobby...but room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. The room was also VERY loud...could hear everything going on in the hallway. I would never stay there again...lots of better options in the area.

Very good service and well located in a very nice area

This is a lovely hotel, clean, convenient and with a very friendly and helpful staff. There is a wonderful restaurant (pricey) on site and the lobby sections off into cozy, private seating areas during the evening. There are other restaurants within walking distance, too. bathroom/toilet i felt was an after thought too small and disconnected.

Nice cozy W in great neighborhood. Great vibe at Whiskey Blue bar. The only thing they need to fix is their valet parking: it's very cumbersome and had on one night had to wait 30 min for my car. But I would still recommend this W...one of the nicer ones I've stayed.

This place was horrible for the price that I got and the people at the hotel were rude. They didnt care about making my stay warm and welcome. Then when I was checking out I was charged for food when I never even went to the restraunt to eat.

We had an awful experience at this hotel. I thought it would be a comfortable stay and invited a friend along who was 8 months pregnant. We arrived and the valets were talking to friends and not paying any attention to their customers- we ended up leaving the car with keys for them to eventually find. On top of that we were unable to get a nights rest […] as the music and overall loudness of the hotel was unbearable. I went to sleep to pounding music and woke up at 4.30AM to yet still more music. Overall this was a horrible mistake and had I known I definitely would not have invited my friend who went sleepless at 8 months pregnant. Mehr

Felicia Emanuel, Robert, Izzy....were outstanding...the hotel was extremely accomodating...We loved everything about it! We will stay there over and over as we return to visit Buckhead! Thank you!

My sister and I shared a room in this very stylish, comfortable, and clean hotel. The location was very convenient There was no self parking. We paid $30 per day for valet parking in the hotel's lot. I did not see any free or discounted overnight parking right around the hotel. The bathroom had a frosted glass door and another frosted window. While […] the glass was stylish, it reduced privacy. Depending on where you are standing in the bathroom and which lights are on, someone can see the person standing inside with some detail. I did not think this feature was worth the aesthetics. While I was working in the room's only table, using in-room internet costing $22 for two days, I heard what may have been the sound of construction work somewhere inside the hotel. The sound resembled a whale's mating call, which complemented the ocean waves sound of the in-room SoundSpa sound machine. We had dinner in the Market restaurant inside the hotel. The food and atmosphere were excellent. When we had time to eat breakfast in the restaurant on Saturday morning, we were surprised to learn the restaurant was not open for breakfast. We chose dishes from the same menu but had to eat in the lounge area. At least the lobby was quiet that morning. My sister used the exercise room. The high-tech treadmill took some effort to figure out. The view of Neiman Marcus in the Lenox Square shopping mall was not particularly scenic. I saw some families with children, but I would not judge this hotel to be very family friendly. The rooms are not large enough for children to move around. Four people in a regular size room might find themselves tripping over each other. With small children, I suppose that could be fun in some way. In summary, the W Buckhead is a very pleasant hotel with warm and responsive staff. I would stay here again if I do not have my family with me. The room was nice with the exception of two things - the sheets were clean but did not have that fresh clean smell and the bathroom shower stall needed cleaning in the corners. Very nice hotel and people working there. Only objection is glass door to toilet, giving very little privacy.

The bathroom design is the only thing which took away from the room. The doors to the bathroom were very flimsy and semi transparent. Also there wasn't a shower door to close off the shower to keep the floor from turning into a wading pool. There is just a glass separating the toilet from the shower. We stayed in a Wonderful King Room. I found out the […] only rooms which have full shower doors are the handicap accessible rooms. Mehr

I LOVE W Atlanta Buckhead. The people were so awesome and accommodating. They strive to keep a smile on our faces. We will only stay here when we get back to Atlanta. Oh and the rooms are great, just as shown on the pics!

Hotel was overall great. Door handle to bathroom was broken and it took two days to have someone fix it. Was disappointed it was not stated they charge $30 for overnight parking. It's comparable, though, to other Buckhead hotels. Also disappointed internet was not free in the room. They were great with our kids.

Being active duty with a girlfriend who is active duty as well makes it difficult for us to spend quality time together. We were able to meet this time in Atlanta and decided to stay at this hotel. It was an amazing place. Fantastic bar in the lobby, amazing views from the rooftop bar, the room was comfortable and quiet, just the kind of place we needed […] to stay at. The only drawback I saw was the requirement to valet our vehicles, which the cost was added to our bill, at $30 a night per vehicle it was a tad expensive. However, considering the deal we got on the room it was well worth it seeing as how difficult it is to find parking in Atlanta in general. I would recommend this place to anyone as I would stay here again given the chance. Mehr

I didn't want to leave my 3 day stay at the W Buckhead. Everything you'd expect from the W Brand. Luxurious and contemporary. The bed was sooo comfortable. After 3 nights there, the staff and I were like family. This hotel is right where you want to be. You are walking distance to Atlanta's best malls and the MARTA Subway Train Stop is right there at […] the hotel. You can walk out of the hotel and be in the MARTA system and at the airport in 30-35 minutes depending on timing. As always the W Lounge "Whiskey Blue" is a hot spot on the weekends. Mehr

Checking in the valets offered no assistance with the bags just stood waiting for the car to be vacated. The trash bins flanking the entry were overflowing with trash which was spilling out on the ground. The desk person was very nice but on our floor housekeeping had left a cart in the middle of the hallway which stayed there all night and the closet […] housing other carts was open with another cart sticking out into the hall. What once was a nice place is showing signs oif being worn out and a staff that could care less! Mehr

Didn't care for the unexpected $60 additional fee for valet parking but other than that it was an EXCELLENT STAY! Can't say enough about the staff... extremely NICE and prompt. I called for additional towels and it was at my door in less than two minutes.

I had made my reservation at the W downtown atlanta location only to have it arbitrarily moved to the W buckhead. Why on earth would I want the W buckhead when there were adjacent fireworks planned that same night? No, I had made the reservation to meet up with friends DOWNTOWN. Didn't happen. --- Checked into room. Small, dinky feeling. Felt and looked […] like a bad, in need of renovation holiday inn room. Made me claustrophobic from the get-go. Noisy hall with crying baby in some distant room ALL NIGHT LONG! Fan too loud in the bathroom. Lightbulbs burned out in half the lamps in the room. "Clean" bedsheets with faint smell of excrement and overwhelming aftershave. I'm allergic to down and everything was down feathered! What's all this about the "pillow menu"? ... no such thing. Maybe Ws went down hill after bought by Starwood, I don't know, but it was a bad experience all around, so I left at 1:30 in the morning on the first night of my 3 night stay, and stayed with relatives instead. I love every W I've stayed in - this one was no different. Amazing service, but a few snafus with the room. There was a make-up stain on the headboard, which was a little weird... also, the toilet wouldn't flush. I didn't call down to resolve it - I actually lifted the toilet lid and had to manually flush it, which was a little gross. One other thing […] about the room is the bathroom. It's almost like the architects designed the most amazing room, and then were like, "holy crap (no pun intended), but we forgot to include a bathroom! There is a translucent partition between the toilet and the bed, which gives you NO privacy if you have to use it. As in, if you're traveling with a special someone, you better hope they're downstairs if you're having "a movement." Sorry for the overshare, but I'm being honest. The bar looked cozy and like a great spot to pre-game before going out. The checkout process was wonderful. The people that work at this place are truly class acts. Even though the bathroom was a teeny issue, I will still go back here again. Mehr

Staff is nice and friendly, got a great low rate for Thanksgiving week, hotel is easy to get in and out of, right on Peachtree and everything is close by. Go to Highland Baker for coffee and lbreakfast or lunch, it is right next door and great goodies and a fraction of the price at the hotel. I've got to say that this is the first time we've stayed in a room that was equipped with a cocktail shaker and no coffee maker. Unfortunately, neither of us has ever awakened with a serious need for a cocktail. It's not family friendly. (Which is okay with us because our children are grown and we don't travel with the grandkids.) But I can see my grandchildren […] headed straight for the snacks and finding a box with a picture of a screw and the words "Get Lucky" and then I'd get to spend the rest of the afternoon explaining to 10 and 8 year olds what condoms are. But there were indeed people with families staying there. We could hear the baby crying before 7 am on Sunday morning. Our last night there, we were awakened at 4 am by people partying in the hallway and going from room to room. The rooms are set up for people who "like to watch", but some of us just can't see without glasses. The lobby and elevator area are very dark - I guess for people who are bringing in things that shouldn't see the light of day. I also didn't like the way the shower is set up. My arm isn't long enough for me to stay out of the way of the cold water that comes out when you first turn it on. No pen and paper in the room. You get to take notes with a dull pencil on anything you can find. Really, do the pens and notepads cost that much?? The other thing I didn't like was that you could not self-park and so incurred a tip for the valet every time you wanted to come in or go out. I also thought that the nightly parking fee was excessive compared to other hotels I've stayed in, although it may be comparable to other hotels in the area. I just didn't expect it to be more than a San Francisco hotel. Now for the good things: All staff were extremely helpful! They had a delightfully refreshing fruit-infused water in the lobby. Robes were provided in the room. They also have a nice roof top bar - very pleasant on weekday evenings, but tended to play music that would give me a headache on the weeken Mehr

My server provided a excellent recommendation of light parings . I ordered the Cod with a truffle base, it was wonderful. All of the staff members @ W were courteous and attentive to my request. Nice location in Buckhead.

The Hotel overall was nice. We stayed there because it was convenient to the sights we were seeing that evening. Room was nice as well. The decor and ambiance was not our style. It is very contemporary and a bit cold. Staff was a little cold in the restaurant but front desk people were nice. Breakfast was great. Tried to go to the Hotel club on the […] roof top to have a drink for the end of a wonderful anniversary night and it was LOUD and CROWDED and DARK. Went to the lobby bar and it was actually quite nice...however, it closed at 12:00 so we had to call it a night. Probably wouldn't stay there again but for some it would be a fine place to stay. We were looking forward to a weekend of shopping, four women sharing one room. The room was big enough but the condition of the room was not what I hoped it would be for the per night room rate. The bathub was chipped in two places and the room phone was broken. There were only three towels and two wash cloths in the room. The overall lighting in the […] room was horrible for women to do hair and make-up. The bathroom had a glass door as well as a glass window into the room, although they were frosted you could see what was going on. Also the light from the bathroom flooded the room when others were sleeping if used during the night. In addition to the room rate, there was an expensive valet parking fee that was not disclosed on the Hotels.com site. Wi-fi was not free in the guest rooms. On the plus side the Wiskey Blue bar in the hotel was very nice. The staff were very personable. Mehr

They need to figure out if they want to be a night club or a hotel. It should have been a clue when we checked in and they made a point of telling us when the music in the bar and the restaurant would stop. When we called down at 4:00 AM they said "so sorry, we have a private party. we can bring you ear plugs." Ear plugs? Really? We stayed on a Friday […] & Saturday and maybe that was the problem. I really enjoyed my stay! The staff was friendly and VERY helpful- from complimentary drinks, to curling irons; they met my every need. The response time from the front desk was quick! I recommend this location to everyone.

If you are looking for a fashionable trendy hotel stay here, it will be more than adequate. If you are looking for a comfortable room or other amenities like Advil for your hangover the next day good luck. The "whatever whenever" service is a little short on both of those things. The window treatments were broken which they promptly fixed...yeah. The […] side dresser had a drawer that did not close and kept opening up. We didn't care to try to get that fixed since we only stayed there one night, thank GOD! I'm used to staying in very well appointed hotels and it is clear were they spent their money desiging this hotel. It would not be on comfort or convenience. Mehr

My husband took me here to celebrate my birthday! The W had set up our room full of surprises that my husband and David had coordinated! We loved the hotel! Awesome!

This is a great hotel - youthful, wonderfully decorated, and fun. The concierge was a big help in selecting local restaurants and everyone was extremely helpful in making our weekend as relaxing as possible (including the 3pm late check-out on Sunday). The hotel has a lively lounge area at night... or, if you want something even trendier and more lively, […] you can head to Whiskey Blue, which is conveniently located on top of the hotel. There is also a great restaurant in Market, which is also connected to the hotel. So, really, you could spend one evening "in" and still have a great dinner and night life. The only negative I'd list is that the bathroom in our "Wonderful King" room was on the smallish side. Other than that, I'd highly recommend. Mehr

My wife and were celebrating a special occasion so we choose the w buckhead, great location clean room and great service, just a couple of issues the bathroom door was broken it wasn't such a big deal but then toilet broke some time after using it last at night and the first time it was used in the morning .

The staff were friendly and the room was lovely. My only complaint is that the shower is a mess! The water shoots out all over the room, no matter how you position it. If I ever stay here again, I will request a room with a tub. The floor was sopping wet. All in all it was very nice.

This was my first overnight trip to Atlanta and I found the W Hotel to be one of the most pleasant parts of my trip! The location was ideal (so close to the Marta train so I didn't have to pay for a cab from the airport), the hotel was clean and modern but the best part was the incredibly warm and helpful staff. I wish I remembered her name, but the […] young lady who checked me in was one of the most pleasant people I have had the pleasure to meet at a hotel. The bartender at the rooftop bar was also very nice. I will be going to Atlanta again soon and I will be staying at the W Atlanta Buckhead again :-) Mehr

Everything about the W was perfect, but hanging out by the pool all day was the best part. Great pool.
