Das Hotel liegt abseits in einem Industriegebiet. Man muss ein Taxi nehmen für in die Stadt. Für eine Nacht passt es aber oder für die Durchreise

We'd booked a couple of nights to make the most of a trip to Cardiff to see a show. We knew the location was very central before we booked, but the clincher was the availability of a pool/spa and the great price, as we'd got a discount offer via Trip Advisor & Hotels.com. On arrival the staff were nothing but friendly and helpful, the place was spotless […] and our room was a good size and well equipped. The pool/spa/gym area was similarly well cared for and all the facilities were of a high standard, if the pool was a little on the small side. Although we both new Cardiff well the location allowed us to explore the bay area without resorting to taxis & we found that both the bay and the furthest edge of the city centre were no more than 15mins by foot, with Mill Lane and the newest shops less than 5mins. The high standards were reflected in every aspect of the hotel and it helped make this visit special. We wouldn't hesitate to book again. Mehr

Close to both the main center and the bay. A nice walk down along the Wharf to the Bay and only 5 minutes in the opposite direction the city center.

Located in a quiet area a 5 or 10 minute walk into the city centre. There is some building work being carried out across the road, but this didn't cause any disturbance. The hotel facilities were great, especially the pool which was one of the largest we've seen in a hotel of this price. We used it on both days of our stay and our toddler loved it. […] Breakfast was self-service and above average, with the hot food being regularly replaced even if it hadn't all gone. A beautiful hotel ten minute walk from Cardiff Bay. This hotel is in excellent condition and I must mention the bed its the best sleep I have had in years. Breakfast was in abundance. Only one constructive complaint, as a resident you have to pay for the car park at £8 per day. Why dont they include this in the price pachage?

Very comfortable and pleasant stay in Cardiff at this hotel. Called in advance with an early check in request as I was trasvelling from distance and hotel was kind enough to accomodate. Great services and very friendly atmosphere.

The hotel is just fine. Good rooms good breakfast and pool. Pity about the location though - in a nothing area just inconvenient from both downtown and from the docks. Only book this hotel if youhave your own car- otherwise expect to use a lot of taxis going places or walking a lot through unattractive roads. Entrance poorly marked for arrivals on foot […] so that you walk around three and a half sides of the hotel before finding entrance. Also the location is incorrectly shown on hotels.com website - would not have booked if I had known correct location. Websire showed it much closer to Cardiff bay than it is in reality. Summary, fine if you have a car but avoid otherwise. And fix your website hotels.com Mehr

This was an extremely comfortable hotel. The room was very large for a European hotel and was also very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. It was a relatively easy walk to both the Millennium Centre/Cardiff Bay and the city centre. I would definitely stay there again.

Simple - 100 % worth it.

Stayed at the Novotel with a reasonable offer just before Easter. The staff were on the whole pleasant and everyone from the receptionists to the cleaners greeted us which made us feel welcome. We were very pleased with the fact that we could use our Taste Card in the Elements restaurant and was a welcome surprise as there are not many places outside […] London where they can be used, especially in a hotel. Room for improvement could be made in the general maintenance of our superior room 353 which while clean enough could certainly do with a bit of an update in some areas like the door, finish of the bathroom etc. Also the shower screen was non conducive with gaps in it which rendered it slightly useless for it's intended purpose. At times the reception area was unmanned which meant we had to wait around and didn't leave was with the professional impression we would expect from a 4* property. Notwithstanding the above we really enjoyed our short stay at the Novotel Cardiff and would recommend both the beautiful South Wales and hotel to others. Mehr

The room was fine it served its purpose. Plus it was in a good location for the places we were visiting. Have a couple of minor grumbles. Main one is the cost of parking at the hotel is silly. It was twice as much as the multistorey 5 mins walk away. Also the adjacent road has free parking if you can find a space. Also our bathroom had a broken toilet […] roll holder and a slightly grubby bath. Mehr

The staff were all very helpful and friendly but our stay was spoiled by the constant noise from drunken guests shouting and slamming doors most of the night. There was also no vegetarian option on the menu.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting family. I use a lot of hotels in Cardiff and this one is well located for a short walk into the city, or a 10 minute walk to the Bay area with all it's resteraunts. Quiet location and efficient check in service. Clean and comfortable. Spacious parking. Recommended.

Had a good 2 night stay in the Novotel. Staff very helpful throughout and room spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast. Nice pool and spa facilities. Only slight (very slight) downside was the a faint humming noise (like a generator/air con that we couldn't quite place) in what was supposed to be a quiet room, although you got used to it after a while. Very comfortable, clean and a nice mixture of new and old buildings (re-use of a warehouse on the site). Good gym, pool & spa. Breakfasts also very good. Downsides - Very high parking charges and for internet access (this may include some films, but no use for business). Altogether a very pleasant stay.

Our stay at the Novotel Cardiff Central provided the perfect base for seeing the city. Situated about half way between the city centre and Cardiff Bay it meant all was within walking distance. Hotel was excellent and the spa facitities clean and pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

Great hotel in a good location. A short walk from the city centre and close to the millennium centre. Hotel was clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The swimming pool and leisure facilities were in great condition and a good way to relax after a day in the city. Plenty of parking onsite at a reasonable cost. Checked in at 10.30am and room was ready 1 1/2 hours earlier than expected. This being a four star hotel I did not expect to find stains on the curtains. However the cleanliness of the rest of the room was fine. Had to ask for more milk and tea bags as there was only enough supplies for 1 cup of tea each. Booked breakfast on arrival for a cost of £10.95 […] each which was cheaper than booking it with room. Area is fairly quite and wouldn't want to walk to the city centre at night time alone but I was with my mother so didn't mind too much. Very polite staff who couldn't have been more obliging. Mehr

Surrounding area is now underdevelopment but the hotel itself is fairly nice. I stayed there at special promotion rate and was good value for money.

Plus points are the hotel's location & friendly staff. The warehouse conversion also offers a degree of character lacking on the new build element. Criticisms are noisy bedroom doors that would be quieter if fitted with better overhead closing devices. Outlook from rooms was nothing out of the ordinary & there was a lot of traffic noise. Overall, […] we felt this was probably more a three star hotel &, accordingly, a little on the expensive side for the quality of rooms on offer. It only really gains the extra star by virtue of the gym, pool & conference facilities. I felt the pool was rather small. The breakfast was lovely although expensive. It was great to have access to on site parking, but again, this was expensive &, as we were travelling off peak, there is room to offer inclusive B&B & lower tariff parking when demand is lower? Had this been offered I would happily go back & recommend the establishment to others. Mehr

A splendid hotel, combining modern architecture with attractive features from a bygone age. We would happily make the Novotel our first choice for any subsequent stay in Cardiff.

WiFi access has become an important part of our travels and while away we can keep in touch with our businesses. It is for this reason that I always book a hotel that offers free WiFi in the rooms. This was the impression that Novotel, indeed all the Accor hotels, give. When I asked the manager he fobbed me off saying that they outsourced the "WiFi" […] to Orange and that I should contact them to purchase data time. Needless to say we checked out the next day and moved to a smaller, cheaper and far better place which did satisfy our needs. Breakfast was hugeley overpriced too. Mehr

Conveniently located 10 minutes from the city centre. Parking facility at a reasonable price. Pleasant welcome and overall good value for the cost.

Great place to stay for a weekend break, close to the Centre and a few minutes walk to the bay. Hotel was Clean, Staff Friendly, Breakfast plentify and until mid day at weekend. good Gym facilities plu the light and open common areas and bar make for a great meeting place. will definately stay here again

Good well placed hotel, you can walk into town or down to the bay.Staff were all very friendly and helpful .Breakfast had a good choice well presented.Served up till late on sunday which was good for that lie in,after a day in town. Two tiny niggles as two sisters we used both beds one large with nice bedding one pullout sofa,with washed up blanket.This […] bed really needed a topper to stop the springs from digging in to your body. Also the mugs in the room were too narrow at the bottom for them to be properly washed ,which ment dirty rings well set ,which I found really hard to remove even with small hands and a cloth .Th e girls who clean the rooms dont really have the time to do this. Great hotel ideally situated with just a 10 min walk to the bay and just 5 minutes into the city centre. Nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Bar open late with reasonably priced drinks. You can see that the hotel has been recently refurbished. I will definitely stay there again!

We had a good stay at the Novotel overall. The staff were friendly and the room ready and comfortable. The only down side to the hotels were additional costs. It was £8 to park the car and £13 (£10 if booked in advance) for a continentle breakfast. The room was also noisey in the morning as who ever designed the hotel made sure all doors slam close […] . The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the bay and city centre. The pool is lovely, although the gym is quite small but enough for a short stay. Great service, would definitely stay here again!

We had a excellent stay at the Novotel Cardiff. The facilities were great and the room was lovely. Thank you for a fantastic night away.

Room was fab, lady i spoke to on the phone made sure i had a nice room for my special occasion! overall stay was great!!

We had originally booked "executive" rooms but unfortunately on arrival we were told that our request for twin beds had not been passed on to the hotel and that the only rooms available of this type had a queen bed. The receptionist was extremely helpful and immediately offered to book us in to standard rooms which had both a queen bed and a sofa bed, […] and this suited us fine. The rooms were modern, spacious, clean and comfortable, and the hotel were good enough to give us a refund for the downgrade, together with some vouchers for complimentary drinks at the bar for the confusion over the booking which was a nice touch. We found the location ideal, being about a 10 minute walk to the new shopping development on the edge of the city centre with ample choice of restaurants and bars. In the evening a taxi to Cardiff Bay was £4. Mehr

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel which ahs been created out of pre-existing buildings. My room was comfortable with good bathroom facilities. It was alittle akward to get to as there were steps down from the lift but there was a metal ramp to help with wheeled luggage (at least I think that that was what it was for. The food was very good, especially […] the breakfasts. Sevice was polite and efficient. It is always good to have on-site parking. The hotel is situated a little too far from the centre of Cardiff to allow easy walking. My main concern was that there was a smoking area at the main entrance with smoke blowing into the foyer. I didn't use the gym etc. I would recommend avoiding the in-room internet access available via the TV as it is virtually impossible to use and very slow.
