Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfreich. Das Zimmer war sauber mit extra abgetrennten Bad und Duschmöglichkeit in der Wanne. Die Übernachtung war inkl. Frühstück. Entgegen vorheriger Bewertungen war es ausgiebig. Man konnte wählen zwischen, Muffin, Beagles, Toast mit Toaster, Waffeln zum selber machen, Obstauswahl, genügent Aufstrich wie versch. Marmeladen und Sirup, zwei versch. Kaffesorten (normal und entkoffeniert) und Saft aus dem Automaten. Alles als free refill. Wer eine Stadtrundfahrt machen möchte kann sich an der Rezeption melden. Von dort kann eine Stadtrundfahrt mit Abholung vom Hotel organisert werden. Also besser geht es gr nicht. Ich kann nur jeden dieses Hotel empfehlen. Würde jederzeit sofort doert wieder übernachten. Volle Punktzahl. Einziger kleiner Abstrich ist die örtl. Umgebung. Auf den ersten Blick sieht die Umgebung etwas ungemütlich aus, aber wenn man daran denkt, das es nicht gerade die Innenstadt ist geht es in Ordnung. Ca. 5 Min Fußweg gibt es zwei Fastfood Restaurants und genau gegenüber ist ein großer (mexikanischer) Supermarkt. Alles in ereichbarer Nähe.

Ich war mit einem Bekannten für 7 Tage in dem Motel. Sehr netter Empfang. Absolut problemlos. Erster Eindruck wurde während des gesamten Aufenthaltes bestätigt. Frühstück mit frischen warmen Haferflocken, frisches Rührei, gekochte Eier, Waffeln zum selbstbacken, Müsli, Säfte, Obst, Kaffee, Tee, ... -kurzum, für amerikanische Motelverhältnisse absolut super und ausreichend. Das richtige für den Start in den Tag. Lage: ca. 15 Minuten Fussmarsch zum Venicebeach, 5 Minuten zum Hafen von Marina, 15 Minuten zum Harleyverleih am Lincoln- Boulevard, Tiefgaragenparkplätze kostenlos, Zimmer sauber und frisch renoviert -unseres zumindest- Personal immer freundlich, kleiner Pool und Spa zur Erfrischung/ Entspannung, Innenhof mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und Gaskamin, für uns jederzeit wieder 1. Wahl für L.A. Aufenthalte!!!!!!!!!

Das Leben gestaltet sich in den Strandstädten von Los Angeles, den "Beach Cities", als ein nie enden wollender Sommer. Redondo Beach und Surfen sind untrennbar miteinander verbunden. Viele Einwohner von Los Angeles fahren über das Wochenende nach Santa Monica, um sich am Strand zu erholen und das Leben auf der Third Street Promenade zu genießen. Eingebettet in die nahe gelegenen Hügel von Brentwood liegt das Getty Center mit einer wunderbaren Kunstausstellung. Die Getty Villa mit ihren Antiquitäten befindet sich in Malibu, dem Nachbarort von Santa Monica.

Normalerweise sind wir nicht in dieser Sternekategorie unterwegs und wir wissen jetzt auch warum- denn mehr Sterne bedeutet nicht unbedingt mehr Komfort und mehr Service. Was uns nicht gefallen hat ist dass es kein kostenloses Wifi auf dem Zimmer gibt (dafür einen Fernsehr im Bad...), teure Frühstück und ein unverschämt teurer Parkservice. "sehr schönes Hotel am Santa Monica Pier"
gepflegtes Hotel in wunderschöner Lage. Personal sehr freundlich.Pool mit herrlichem Blick auf das Meer und gutem Service. Bistrofruehstueck im normalem Preisniveau.Schöne Zimmer, meist mit Meerblick. nicht ganz billig aber zu empfehlen. Unser upgrade Zimmer mit Blick zum Meer war ein Genuss!
"Keine Badezimmertür"
Das Bad hat keine Badezimmertür! Der Überlauf der Waschbecken war dreckig und es hat im ganzen Zimmer nach Abfluß gerochen. In der Toilette viel das Licht aus und es war kein Fenster vorhanden - dunkel. Trotz mehrmaliger Reklamation keine Behebung des Schadens.

"Idealer Standort in Santa Monica"
Das Hotel is ideal gelegen. Ein angenehmes Urlaubhotel in Santa Monica
Das Frontpersonal war wenig zuverlässig. Man versprach uns einen Anruf, wenn unser Zimmer bezugsbereit sei. Hätten wir uns nicht selbst darum bemüht, wir hätten wohl noch heute kein Zimmer.

"Very nice, but..."
Overall it's an attractive, clean hotel. The amenities are good and its proximity to the beach alone makes it a winner. Plus, the staff is very friendly and courteous. Definitely request a room with an ocean view if you can get it. The negatives are the parking—Over $20/day for the valet-only parking, and the fact that they charge $11.95/day for internet. […] Internet SHOULD be free, and I would have been fine with $10/day parking, but this felt exorbitant, especially considering what I was already paying to stay at the place. Mehr
"Gorgeous location"
We had a great time at the Loews hotel. The location couldn't be beat - right on the beach and within walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade. The pool was great and the staff even gave us kites for each of the kids to take to the beach. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting L.A.!

This is a very large hotel on the beach in Santa Monica. There was a big conference when we were there, and it had a corporate feel. Rooms are large, but nothing really special. "Spring Break 2012"
The hotel in general was beautiful and in a great location. The rooms were clean and looked like your average hotel. They were very timely with cleaning and restocking the room. The only draw back is there is a cost for everything. Valet only parking at $36/night and no free internet access. There are nearby parking garages for 12/day or street parking […] at certain times if you don't mind walking a couple of blocks. I could live with the parking and valet parking helps the economy by providing jobs, but I would have really appreciated the internet access thrown in. Mehr
The location was great. The rooms were not clean around the edges (where carpet/tile meets walls). Everything there was expensive! Surely the hotel is paid off by now and the rates could be more reasonable?

"Staff and local great -hotel is getting run down"
The staff and location were perfect, but for the money the accommodations were a little run down. My room had stains on the rugs and no usable outlets. I was lucky I always bring my own extension cord or I would have to choose between light or charging my iPad. Speaking of which you had to pay for wifi if you didn't have your own. The lighting in the […] room was horrible, they did not provide three way bulbs in the three way lamps and it was always dim in the room. On checkin, I was given a room right next to the elevators. Extremely noisy! I find it hard to believe it was the only room available or that they didn't know how noisy it was! The best part about the room was the single cup Keurig coffee maker. On the bright side you couldn't be in a better location, right on the beach and walking distance to the pier. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Fernando, and all the staff that greeted you as you entered and left the hotel were great, as were all the spa personnel. Can't recommend this hotel more. The staff were so warm hearted and unlike so many hotels that talk about how they want to care for you but don't...everyone at Loews took such great care of our family. A great hotel for families. The only thing I wish is that the common spaces didn't have music all the time. I would rather listen to the ocean. Hope […] they change that. But... definitely stay here. I arrived after a touch long travel day and Hotels.com had screwed up my reservation. The people at Loews bent over backwards to help us. I will never use Hotels.com again. "Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel saved the trip"
In what was probably the worst weather Southern California has had short of an earthquake, The Loews Santa Monica hotel was a life saver. Close to everything in Santa Monica especially the ocean, the hotel was a very cofrotable retreat that was close enought to the promenade, the pier and the beach to allow us to venture out in the cold blowing weather […] to explore the area and was close enough and had all the creature comforts for us to remain comfortable and entertainedinbetween ventures out. This hotel is beautiful - the views are fabulous, the staff friendly and you are close to all the best shopping Santa Monica has to offer. This was our second stay and we will be back.

It's a very nice hotel with an amazing location but the extra fees just never end: really? It's necessary to charge an extra for fitness class? Extra for painfully slow internet service? Mandatory valet parking. When I finally got service by the pool the salad was served covered in tiny flies! I gave up on trying to get the server back to replace it. "Not 5 star service or condition of hotel"
Hotel is very good, but not 5 stars. Overall, the hotel looks "worn". Furniture in common areas and rooms have the "lived in" feel like it's just a step away from needing to be replaced. Additionally, I had booked reservations for 6 colleagues. All rooms were guaranteed as "Superior King." However, when we checked in, we were informed that the hotel […] was oversold and rooms with 2 queen beds were all that was available. They did upgrade my room to "one with a view" since I showed the reservation and asked about a king room. But my colleagues didn't ask and were not automatically upgraded. "Power Outages"
When I was there recently the power went out multiple times, sometimes for an hour or more. All the other hotels around us were lit up like Christmas! Not weather related. "The Totel Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel"
Hugely disappointing . 2 nights , NO WIFI and NO TV After many conversations with the management only to be told , sir sorry, we are fully booked and we cant move you to another room .somethings are a MUST in any star hotel and wifi and TV are two of them . we have no complaints about the room ,very comfortable, but unfortunately the lack or these 2 […] things made the stay hugely disappointing and frustrating to the point of despair ! Excellent boardwalk location, close to fabulous restaurants and fun street vendors! Hotel ran out of regular coffee and did not restock the last 3 days if our stay. They provided 1 free pot if Roo Service coffee but that rallied a tip. Overall good stay!

"Lowe's Santa Monica"
The hotel was at 60% occupancy and yet we were given a room overlooking an active and very noisy construction site. Felt like they wanted us to "pay" for getting a good deal at hotels.com...very disappointing for the Christmas spirit.
"Okay for the price"
I was expecting a nicer room for the price. It was small and on the ground level. It was called a Superior King, but there was nothing superior about it. The room lacked the ammenities that I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The refrigerator sat out in the room uncovered. We ordered a bottle of wine from room service. It was a screw cap variety that […] you could get at the supermarket, but the check was $78!!! The service was very good, though, and the location was perfect. This hotell was not as high end as I expected. The important things were taken care of ie: rooms and bathrooms were clean, beds comfortable, view nice. I did not eat there so can't comment. I did feel they nickel and dime you for everything-parking,in room internet, fitness center and of course the very expensive minibar.. just lovely!
Great hotel!!!! The room was wonderful and the view of the beach/pier was spectacular. Not to mention this hotel is pet friendly (hard to find). All and all great stay can't wait to return and refer any friends or family.

"Need to Pay More Attention to Guest Rooms"
We stayed at Loews this past week for a couple nights. The hotel is in a great location and the lobby and restaurants are great. I was very surprised, though, that the room we had was a bit neglected. The bathroom door took a lot of force to slide shut and there were K-Swiss and Fila stickers on the inside of it that the staff hadnt noticed.
