we didnt have to go outside to the pool cause our windows leaked our clothes were wet we never enjoyed our room because wewere moved 4 times ou of 6day stay now you grate that for us !!!!

didn't like the quality off the room, was very dated and not very clean and fresh.

We stayed three days...Breakfast was hot and changed menu daily. Also a light dinner is served never had this before with cost of room...made life easier with kids.

This hotel was very convenient to everything, it was a little older but it was clean...it had tennis and basketball courts as well as a pool and spa...the spa wasn't very warm...best off all they had a hot breakfast bar and dinner every night...this saved me tons...if u are visiting Atlanta to see sights purchase a city pass its much quicker than waiting […] in line and the shopping is amazing. I'd definatly stay at this hotel and recommend it Mehr

IF YOU LIKE VERY LOW RATE NO STARS HOTELS THAN THAT'S WHERE YOU NEED TO STAY THE ONLY NICE THINGS ABOUT STAYING THERE WAS THE WEATHER IS CONTOL BY GOD NOT THE HELP.

We stayed for two nights, my husband and grandkids. It was very clean, comfy and spacious. We went for breakfast which was good. A little cold but edible. The second morning they had the waffle maker. That was good. A little bit of waiting to use it but not bad. My husband liked it and it's considering staying there again when in the Atlanta area.

The pool area was dirty and unkept and quite a walk from our room. The room was small and tight for 4 people. The a/c did not want to work on cool high as it would shut off. Kinda of dumpy and dated rooms. Lots of bugs. Pool was un usable-cold and dirty. Price was right though.

What I like the most here is the HIGH speed internet. It's pretty fast!! I can even watch a movie without any lag. Highly recommend if you need high speed internet.

Hotel is difficult to find at night and without a GPS I would have been lost. Hilly terrain. Looks like the property used to be apartments? Lobby/reception may have been the Club House? Long uphill walk to get breakfast. You can drive but parking at the top is limited. Rooms are very old and have been renovated. Microwave did not work because it could […] not be plugged in. During remodeling, the new shelf covers the electrical socket. You can plug in the fridge or the microwave, but not both. The cherry blossoms by the river were blooming in March. Quite beautiful. This hotel is an excellent place to stay at an excellent price. The staff is great and the room are clean and comfortable. The only issue I have is the internet. We have been staying there every week since January and the internet has never worked. Also some of the TV channels have been taken away. I believe that we got a great deal on the room. We here happy with it from the moment we arrived there. The room was clean and the view from the balcony was amazing. We were so close to the city, yet far enough away to have quiet all around us. Breakfast was acceptable and any time we needed anything (ie extra towels) the hotel was happy to help us. […] The only negative thing I have to say is that the heater for the pool was broken the entire length of our trip, so my children were unable to swim in the pool. ( An activitiy they were so excited about.) But it was no the end of the world and the trip turned out great. We did not want to check out on our final morning. When we arrived the front of the hotel looked marvelous! I was soo excited! Then..I had to wait to be greeted and when he finally said something, he barely spoke. We drove down the very STEEP driveway to our room which we realized was one of many in a property that apparently was an apartment complex :[ we opened the doors, and the half smile i had […] left on my face turned down considerably!! Room was soooo small, we had to enter one at a time, tub stained, chipped dirty sink/toilet, wallpaper chips torn off walls, and no room to move around!! Complimentary wifi internet access was a joke, and with one tv and two kids trying to play games, it quickly became a nightmare for this parent, who just wanted to get some rest (which was ok btw, beds were comfortable enough). We had to drive UP this steep hill everyday for breakfast, and dinner (but at least they were provided complimentarily, and decent enough). No indoor pool (prob cuz it was an APARTMENT COMPLEX DAT WAS GUTTED!) and noise all night from our "neighbors"!! Wouldnt go again, not if u paid me!!! Mehr

I was in Atlanta for business for 2 consecutive weeks. I chose the Hawthorn Suites the first week because they had the best rate. I had never stayed in a Hawthorn suites before and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. This is a very nice, older property and it could use a little work, however the amenities and staff are excellent. The hotel is about […] 8 miles from Perimeter Mall. Being that I was working next to Perimeter Mall, I would have preferred to be in a hotel that was closer my 2nd week, but this hotel offered such a good rate, plus a hot buffet breakfast of my favorite foods as well as a hot buffet dinner each night that I couldn't pass ups staying here the 2nd week too. The first week I was in the 2 queen bed room. Wasn't bad, but it was kind of tight on space. The 2nd week, I opted for the King suite room. Loved it. Had more than enough space and then some, plus it included both a living and kitchen area that they 2 queen room didn't have. The only down side is that I couldn't get the internet service to work either week and some of the cable channels had static in the sound in the King suite the 2nd week. Other than that, I really enjoyed this property. I will definitely be staying her again when I'm in the area. For the price I paid, it was definitely a steal. Mehr

The maintenance at this hotel has a lot to be desired. I was there for a week and could only get internet access for about 15 minutes. I brought the problem to the attention of the hotel, in addition with other patrons, and the issue still was not resolved. In fact, there was no internet access in the rooms, nor in the hotel lobby, nor in using the […] hotels own business center computer. I was in town for vacation. I must say I am one to be very picky when It comes To the hotel I stay In. It took me hours to choose this one only because the hotel that I usually go to was way over priced. After reading the reviews, I decided on this hotel. At first I was a bit confused about what the other reviews were saying when it comes to the dinner […] and breakfast. Dinner is provided buffet style for FREE Monday- Thursday!!!! And breakfast is provided FREE EVERYDAY! !!!! WOW What a super super plus. The hotel is set up in apartment style, which made getting to the main office a bit difficult but they did have FREE wyfi in the rooms what was also another plus. The hotel is not a 3star hotel To me. The room is more of a 2 star room and ill give it another star bc of all of the amenities They provide. This is the place to say if on a 2 star budget but you have the standard of a 3 star hotel. Mehr

This hotel is old and the pictures on the website are misleading. The first room they gave me was ridiculous ....the floors were buckling and you could see the wall separating from the floor! They moved me to another room which was better but just as old. If you are looking for a cheap clean place for the night this is it but don't expect any glamour […] or a good breakfast...yuck! Mehr

The room was ok but a bit outdated and the price was pretty good for the area. The bed and bedding was excellent.

This was a good hotel in a good location but let's just be honest -- once you have nice pillows and a cute pool area all hotels kind of run together. However, this hotel was better than good. When we checked in, the clerk told us that breakfast ran until 10:30 on Saturday even though it actually ended at 10. When we walked in at 9:58 and breakfast had […] been cleared away, we were devastated -- I mean, free breakfast is part of what makes hotels great. The cook saw our pitiful, pajama-laden state and went back in the kitchen and made us breakfast. Yes, it was a condensed feast, but this was completely unnecessary and gracious. The hotel is nothing posh, but well worth the price we paid. It features a surprisingly good complementary breakfast and a quiet, comfortable room. Our king-sized bed was enormous. The hot tub was closed during our stay, which disappointed my wife. The room had a microwave oven and a small refrigerator. We would definitely stay there again.

We got our room for a great price and the room was above our expectations. We will definitely use this hotel again.

This hotel worked well for what I needed, Great they provided Breakfast and Dinners. Rooms could use some updating(newer microwaves and tvs). Internet didnt work very well...Overall happy though and will stay there again!

Quiet and very private, but needs some upgrades and cleanliness. The rooms need to be upgraded to a wireless internet system. Bathrooms need some much needed maintenance repairs.

The distance to downtown was a drawback initially but because the hotel has a very affordable driver service they rely on, we were very satisfied and could leave our car parked back at the hotel (at no charge). I liked that the bedding was clean. The dreaded old bedspread is gone from here, having been replaced with a nice comforter between 2 clean […] flat sheets. Mehr

Good room at a great price just outside Atlanta.

This hotel was exactly what we needed. We had a super early appointment in downtown Atlanta the next morning after check-in and it literally took 20 minutes or less to get there. The hotel is tucked out of the main traffic and crowds and the bed was really comfortable. We didn't use any of the other amenities, but the rooms and front desk service were […] fantastic! Hotel was nice furniture was just outdated. A lot of the cable stations did not work.

Hotel is located in a hotel community and it looks like condos rather than hotels. They offer decent complimentary dinner and breakfast. With the price I booked this hotel with there are no complaints. The room was clean, parking area was cleaned every morning, a creek behind the hotel was a nice touch and they never ask how many people are staying […] and don't charge per person fee, which I liked a lot. This hotel is just minutes away from shopping and dining. I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were very nice and clean and the staff was soooo nice and helpful. I have no complaints! I enjoyed my Spring Break and would consider this hotel again when I visit Atlanta in the next few weeks!

Was perfect hotel for us Price was right, location was good and room location was perfect for us.

The rooms, while open and airy, were organized in clusters. It seems as though the complex was once an apartment community or former timeshare resort. It is a drive to the MARTA station. (>6 miles) It was close to a couple great restautrants.

I never stayed at a Hawthorn before, it has an apartment style setting. The breakfast buffet was good but u have to drive to the main building. My room was fine, but very old decorations. The tacky wallpaper boarders didn't match. The fridge is old too. No biggie but our room was in the back and there was a lake with a fountain. We could hear it ALL […] NIGHT LONG! That's annoying and they should turn it off at night. Also there was hair in the bathtub so clearly wasn't cleaned. Pubic hair to be exact. Ewww Also felt the staff could be a little friendlier. When checking in they just let u stand there and don't even say hello or hold on. I hate that. Same thing by another employee when checking out. Actually stood there a while before she came out of the office. Perhaps a bell is needed! But I will say they have EXCELLENT pillows! All in all, the stay was decent and I'd recommend in certain instances. . I just prefer a traditional style hotel. Mehr
