The room was clean. The location was difficult to find based on lack of street signs and then a huge bush blocking the ramada inn sign and the hotel sitting way far back from the road. I was satisfied with the friendliness of the staff, however, there was poor lighting and my car windows were bashed in. There was a lot of tall grass and weeds around the building, the pool was green and unusable, the air conditioner rattled at night while trying to sleep. The breakfast was good and well stocked. The Staff was friendly ( housekeeping helped us get a new lamp for our room (the switch was broken). When we arrived, I was pretty worried that we may have been gipped. The building is in the process of a remodel, and looks pretty shabby from the outside. The neighborhood was old and run down. Thankfully, the room was ok. The workmanship was pretty shabby, but at least it smelled good, was clean, and comfortable.

Room was dirty, found food on the floor, trash wasn't emptied. Very difficult to find.

We could tell they were still remodeling -- everything was not finished. Staff was very pleasant -- easy to check in with hotels.com reservation. Lobby was nicely decorated, large hallways and conference rooms. Breakfast had a good variety, very roomy table area, open until 10:00 was nice. Rooms had plenty of floor space with 2 chairs. Comfortable, […] clean beds/pillows. Quiet. Hottest showers we'd had in a hotel! Large indoor pool area connected to outdoor pool -- fun for the kids. Overall good experience. I used to work for a hotel, so I'm particular when it comes to hotels, especially cleanliness. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was a little frustrating because I requested an early check-in. We got one room at 2pm, but the others weren't ready until 4pm. The rest of the stay was great though. The staff was very friendly :)

Hotel room is not very comfortable and wasn't quite clean. Large windows are nice, but not so nice to find lipstick kisses all over them and other smudges- is it too hard to wipe windex? Convenient location, decent enough for the money, but not very nice. I would not stay again.

Great overall experience. Requested early check-in but was unable to get in to all the rooms. Started off rocky but the staff was nice and the visit ended up being wonderful. Thank you! :)

This hotel wasn't very well kept and was quite dirty. The "lake" is actually a small pond that isn't very pretty like the advertised picture of the hotel shows it to be. I was quite disappointed with the over all stay except for the staff. However, the staff was very friendly.

This hotel was so unkempt and dirty. We were very dissapointed. The grounds looked like the buidling had been abandoned. Never saw more than 1 employee and that was the front desk person. Could not be more dissapointed. This was not a nice hotel. We have stayed in Motels that had more class. This place should be condemned. Broken elevator. Terribly maintained grounds. The reviews were nothing compared to the disgusting environment we were in. Awful!

We were hesitant to book at this hotel because of its location, age, and renovations. When we arrived, the front desk was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable. We had the view of the water and geese in the morning. Breakfast was good. Only suggested improvements would be to have a few extra small chairs […] for seating and stronger water pressure in shower. We would stay here again based on this stay. Mehr

They claim they have a wonderful heated indoor/outdoor pool, which was covered with a green algae growth when we were there. The grass/weed height surrounding the hotel was 8-10" tall to go along with a lot of junk that was being tossed directly out of the rooms being renovated directly onto the lawn surrounding the hotel. There was no attempt to clean […] this stuff up in the three days we were there. To say the least our kids were pretty disappointed. Mehr

The pool was not heated, it was an indoor outdoor pool. The outside of building need lawn work done. Ice machine not located on our floor, had to go to another floor.

sorry guys this is not a good review. Had to change rooms because of leak and carpet all wet, but things happen and that was not the issue. Your exterior is in run down cond. weeds, cob webs general appearance poor. Very clean room, wonderful staff. Pool area gross, old and poor condition rusted door from the in to out pool area, mold. Breakfast area […] very clean and well stocked but chairs were stained and wobbly, view out windows dirty and unkept grounds. Doors scratched and needed painted. Would not stay again. Again I can't say enough about the staff and how well they cleaned our room. Mehr

We only had hot and hotter water in the shower. The treadmill was out of order in the fitness room and the room was extremely HOT. We won't be staying at this hotel again.

The Ramada standard is missed by this hotel. There is no full service restaurant. There are insufficient trucks for baggage. One wing is totally destroyed. There is junk on the lawn in back and the once beautiful lake walk is a junk yard. I was disappointed by a hotel that is only minutes from the Casino and Worlds of Fun.

Staff checking in was great staff after that shift not so great,.Rooms were dirty hotel was dirty pool was cold the bar had music very loud music until very early in the a.m. breakfast was not good and the area it was in was very dirty

I was very disappointed with the "indoor pool" because it is connected to the outdoor pool and the water was freezing cold. We deliberately booked this hotel because of the indoor pool and were not even able to use it. Otherwise, it was nice.

i specifically requested double bed rooms, called three times to ensure they had them, booked us only one of our two rooms but charged us for both rooms. it was a terrible experience! pool says heated on line which means they put one small ball in the pool thats supposed to heat the entire thing, it was very cold water!

Glad we got a cheap rate because I would have been really disappointed if we had paid full price for this hotel. It is under renovation, main elevator is out of service, rooms were ok, but not as clean as I like...there was hair in the bathtub, and the chair in the room had some really nasty stains on it. We were looking for a hotel with an indoor pool and free breakfast on the east side of KC. Since we mostly spent our time at the pool, it was a fun time for my kids. The pool area had definitely seen better times--there were a lot of wear and tear signs everywhere. But it was heated and clean. We dared ourselves to duck under the door dividing the inside […] from the outside pool and enjoyed checking out the stars while swimming in a heated pool outside (not sure if we were "supposed" to do that). The beds were really stiff and the heater was loud, at least for me. I don't stay in hotels often, so maybe that's the norm. I did end up turning on low fan and that stayed on all night so at least it wasn't turning off and on again intermittently. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After breakfast I was passing a custodian in the hallway and she disappeared somewhere and came back to me with my baby's blanket I had apparently dropped on the way to breakfast. That was very kind of her and I appreciate her doing that. Overall, it was decent and we enjoyed our time there. I just have to realize I never sleep well in hotels. Mehr

The lighting outside was poor and I had trouble seeing the lines on the parking lot. I was afraid my bed was falling apart because as I moved it sounded like it was being crushed. My door didnt close very easily so I had to reassure that it was locked every time I left. The hallways and elevator were cold.

Upon arriving to the address, i was not impressed and was surprised to find out it was located in a business park/industrial area. I was traveling with my family so this was not a place to go and stay. If you are on a business trip it might be convenient. The hotel was lonely and it didn't feel welcoming. As for our room, it was clean but the lamps […] had some water stains, the tub didn't look clean, and there was a dead bug on our window ledge. Our view was underwhelming as it was open to the outdoor pool arean and it was filled with balls and was suprised to see it was full of water being that it was December. It just so happened that there was a cleaning crew cleaning it up so i didn't feel comfortable leaving the blinds up. the beds were comfy but the heater made a lot of noise when it was on.The breakfast was not appealing. The bagels and bread didn't seem fresh but the juice and fruit were. I picked this hotel for the good price and closeness of only 10 minutes to my relatives' home but I would not stay here again. , Mehr

From the looks of the outside I thought it was gonna be a really crappy hotel. Once inside you will think different. Lobby, Room, Restaurant, gym was very clean and nice. They even have a complimentary computer. The room was the best for the money you can buy. Bed was Hugggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Overall it was a 9 of 10. I will be back for sure.

we really liked this hotel. our room over looked a big pond that had geese on it, it was beautiful. the room was huge and clean. the hotel was close to 3 casinos. the only down fall was that there were'nt really any resturants close by except the one in the hotel and it wasn't open at the time we wanted to eat.but it is close to the highway and to downtown […] kansas city. will definently stay here again. employees are very nice and most of the hotel is in good to great shape. You can tell what has been remodeled and what has not. The bar and atmosphere is great and they were willing to stay open till the last customer was there! Food was average. They were very welcoming to all the football fans ( I was there for a KC vs. GB game). I cannot speak for […] all the rooms, but the rooms we stayed in were on the first floor, numbers were 163 and 165 I think. The sliding patio doors were in need of serious repair, one of the doors wouldnt even lock. Bathrooms were rough, one toilet ran non-stop. Rooms were big enough and pretty clean. Overall, for the price, I would stay again for sure, just try and see if there are better rooms. They are remodeling so hopefully things will be much better when they are done. Only 1 person on duty, and desk service was nonexistant. bar was leased to an outside source, and service was rude, that and it took an hour after ordering food till it finally got to the table. The room was nice...

This place was nasty, location was in the middle of an industrial park, lake outside was nasty. room windows natsy hallway smell of mildew. none of the help spoke english. verry disapointed.

My husband and I loved this hotel. The staff was helpful & kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. Good area of town and close to everything we needed. We will return next time we're in K.C!

We really liked the beds very comfy! Just a few things that looked like they needed fixed but nothing that directly affected us. Just cosmetic stuff. Great location pretty close to the stadium. Stayed one night for a football game that was going on at the stadium.

The hotel is showing its age, in need of a remodel. The staff were helpful but the room had seen better days. Breakfast was to be expected but good. Its location to Arrowhead stadium was fantastic but is located in an industrial / corporate section of town. It is near Isle Capri Casino (approx. 5 minutes on Front street) but that place too is in need […] of a face lift. Mehr

This hotel was great, I really dont understand the bad reviews on it. We booked with hotels.com for a crib and a dog, and there was some confusion at the desk when we got there because apparently they only put pets on the 1st flr and they had the crib on the 5th flr and she said they didnt have kings in the pet rooms. I explained that I called specifically […] to make sure we were all set and she ended up letting us stay in the room that was already ready for us so we were very comfortable in a large room with a king bed and a crib. The room was very spotless and smelled clean. The bathroom was also spotless. I would definitely recommend this hotel Mehr

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. The rest of the hotel is in much need of repairs. The wallpaper is peeling off in the halls, the pool was dirty, and in the evening the whole place smell like backed-up sewage. The location was not the best either.
