Wer wenig Geld ausgeben will, schnell zum Santa Monica Pier und Venice Beach möchte ist es Okay. Das Hotel sieht von außen aus wie ein typischen amerikanisches Motel. Grau, klein und etwas heruntegekommen. Da wir 3 junge Mädels allein in Amerika waren, hatten wir schon ein bisschen Angst. Die Zimmer waren noch einigermaßen sauber. Bis ins Detail wurde […] nicht gepuzt, aber auf dem Boden und in den Betten oder im Bad war kein Schmutz zu finden. Nur in den Ecken, unterm Bett und hinter/ neben dem Kühlschrank, war es etwas schmuddelig. Wer dort aber nur wenige Nächte schläft kann es Problemlos aushalten. Die Zimmerausstattung war genau wie beschrieben. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Auswahl relativ groß, nur der "Speisesaal" etwas klein, Whirpool war auch sauber. Hat am ersten Abend nicht funktioniert, auch nach allen Bemühungen des Hotelpersonals fing er nicht an zu Sprudeln. Am 2ten Abend ging er dann aber Problemlos. In der Umgebung liegen 2 Supermärkte, Burgerketten und Pizzahut, der Hafen (nicht so sehenswert) und der Strand. Leider kann man nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit nicht der am Strand sein, wegen der unzähligen Obdachtlosen und den Gangs. Wenn man also kein Auto hat, sollte man sich abends im Hotel aufhalten. Eine Bushaltestelle ist zwar direkt in der Nähe, aber weit kommt man mit den Bussen auch nicht unbedingt. Wer also eine günstige Unterkunft in der Nähe vom Stand sucht ( mit dem Bus 5 Minuten), und nicht sehr hohe Ansprüche an den Luxus eines Hotels stellt, für den ist dieses Hotel ideal. Mehr

Empfang freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zimmer & Bad sauber und komfortabel. Separater Frühstücksraum mit guter Auswahl. Parkplätze knapp. Günstige Lage, Venice Beach und Santa Monica Pier sind leicht zu erreichen.

Popular with out of state visitors on a budget and a car. Non US visitors in the minority. It is a simple motel format of two storeys around a carpark courtyard. Access to public transport is convenient and the area is no better or worse than anywhere else in LA.

I recently booked a hotel room for my sister and I to travel for a vacation and had a great time! Our hotel was situated perfectly to travel to Venice and Santa Monica. It was not hard to find from the Budget rental car service we used as well. The beds were comfortable, the A/C worked great and the bathroom was very clean. Thishotel is very convenient for the LAX only took us about 10 minutes after picking up the hire care to get here. Small car park but always got a space. Busy road to front - our room was at the back and was quiet, clean and well maintained, reasonably big too. Complementary breakfast offered a good choice and was well stocked. Close to the beach! Great little hotel, all you need. Rooms are spacious and staff is very kind. Only downside is the small parking lot. There are about 10 parking spaces packed tightly together.

Arrived at the hotel only to find out they had overbooked our room. However, they upgraded us to a king suite. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and quiet.

Loved that it is close enough to the beach and restaurants, but not so close that you're paying through the nose. With a complimentary breakfast I considered it very practical. It's a small aging property, but it's clear to me that the staff care about cleanliness and good service. I was happy.

We were there over night before touring UCLA, clean place and good location for the price. Simple breakfast with hot coffee.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived, and we were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. Upon returning in 90 minutes we were again told room wasn't ready. Another 30 minute wait. Requests for extra pillows and blanket were met with seeming reluctance. Other than that room was clean, reasonably quiet, and an OK option for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Ramada hotel. It was so close to everything. About a 15 min walk to the venice canals and beach! Whole foods is really close as well. Our room was nice and clean and our bed was super comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

Room was large & clean. Not many parking spots though. We had to park on the street.

The hotel is quite OK and is located close to Venice Beach.

Small hotel about 40 minutes walk from Venice Pier, very clean, lovely helpful staff. On a busy road but our room was towards the back so no problems. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was quiet and friendly with safe surroundings and sufficient convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Kids liked the small hot tub pool and we 4 fitted comfortably in one room. We used public transport to get around which involved a 10 minute walk to get to the Downtown buses. If you had a car this hotel […] would be perfect - easy to get in and out of and with free parking. Also good value is the included Continental breakfast and WiFi internet. This hotel is okay to stay at. It isn't located in the best neighborhood, but it met with what I expected. It was spacious enough. Basically it's okay to stay here over night. Then move on.

We were staying at this hotel due to a medical procedure at the UCLA hospital. Staff was excellent and went out of their way to make sure that everything was okay. We have stayed at this hotel before and like the location to the beach, restaurants, the hospital, etc. We will be going back in a couple of weeks and have already made reservations. They used a cleaner that wrecked of ammonia, the room was roomy though, had a fridge, otherwise OK.

I was very afraid of staying at this hotel because of some bad reviews I read on this page. I stayed here for the location and price. It was only 10 min away from the beach and the new main street outdoor mall which is huge. Also if you need to go to hollywood or beverly hills thats not to far either. The room was big. The bed was not firm and easy to sleep in. Flat screen tv with direct TV and easy access wifi. The air condition worked great. […] Towels was hard as a rock but for the price what do you expect. Overall the room was great. If your looking for a great breakfast look somewhere else. Only cereal, coffee, juice, toast and if your lucky and i do mean LUCKY!! you will get yogurt or fruit cup each time i went they where out and the one time she put 7 out this big group of people took all of them and the lady said she was out..Breakfast was horrible!! We ended up going to cafe griddle which i highly suggest.. Parking is tight but that is just about every hotel and every place you go typical LA>. This hotel was less than 2 miles from the beach and great for the price. Bed was comfy and room was clean and quiet. Right across the street from a great breakfast cafe!

The staff was very nice.

CALL FRONT DESK FOR WAKE UP CALL AND THEY NEVER PICK UP ANY CALL. THEY DON'T CHANGE NEW SOAP AND LOTION AND WANT YOU TO USE THE SAME ONE. DANGEROUS NEIGHBORHOOD! VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Being a small room and on a very busy street, you have three choices. Close the window w/o air, close the window with the air on or open the window and put up with the street noise. I don't like a/c, but need to breath. Thus the street noise was annoying. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. No stationary in the room or main office.

I was pleasantly surprised...had read prior reviews and was only minimally impressed. When we arrived the staff was very nice, the rooms are being updated and are clean, the breakfast room was clean and offered a nice variety for the continental breakfast, not just sweets.....they had cereal, fruit, juices, rolls, muffins, bread for toast, milk, coffee, […] tea....yes, the parking is limited but there is parking across the street. We booked this room for just an overnight. Staff was very friendly, let us check in a little bit early. Plenty of parking, convenient for what we were in LA for (Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, LAX). Would stay again.

Great price & location. Family of 5 booking. Extremely good for price obtained. Met expectation for cost. Only bad point was it was a bit smelly but still ok.

All in all the stay was very nice, very friendly service people and staff. No complaints. Parking seems somewhat limited at night but it always managed to work out ok.

Nothing special but adequate for the price. The room was clean and the heater worked (it was cold outside). The printer wasn't working at the business station so we couldn't print off our boarding passes.

The room was quiet, comfortable and very spacious. Had everything you needed. Breakfast is not worth the time.

The Ramada is still well placed as it is close enough to the water to allow you to take a healthy walk to the beach. So for the price, excellent care on behalf of staff and spacious rooms theres plenty to like. The key is to decide, do I want to spend all my money on the hotel or the fun I will have at the destination. The choice is yours.

Poor reception staff performance and unclean guest room. Also with a unpleasant smell from the bathroom. Overall is poor and I will not stay there anymore by paying this amount of money.

Stay was pleasant and hotel seemed to be clean. But the parking lot was full at night. Not big enough for all the rooms. So park your car early in the pm.

The headline says it all. Leave this hotel to more desperate travelers.

We spent 1 night there and were pleased with the service and the cleanliness and convenience to the airport.

Très bonne impression sur l'hôtel en général. Cependant, pensez à demander une chambre ne donnant pas côté rue: Washington bld reste bruyant 1 partie de la nuit. Sinon rien à dire.

Super, vooral de ligging! Relatief dichtbij de vlieghaven (+/- 15 minuten met de auto) en op wandelafstand van het strand (venice Beach!). Ook veel restaurantjes in de buurt. Wij zijn 3 nachten gebleven en moesten dan door rijden naar san fran maar we hadden graag nog wat gebleven!
