Great hotel in a perfect location. Room was very big.

I will stay at the fairmont next year for the convention. This is not my first stay, but it is diffinately my best. Please let me know via email when you have a special rate marketing campaign, I am always in the area, I will stay love to visit soon. Thanks for being a great host.

I travel a lot and I love the Fairmont. The location is great, the rooms are roomy and the whole hotel is a pleasant experience. I highly recommend it.

Can't go wrong with a Fairmont property. The room was lovely, bed was comfy, etc. The guy at guy at the front desk was professional but cold as a robot--not at all friendly. I have stayed at San Jose Fairmont many times. They always do a great job.

Every year I go to the SAP Open and watch really good tennis. I also always stay at the Fairmont. It's within walking distance of both the CalTrain station (I travel to San Jose from San Francisco) and the HP Pavilion where the tennis match is held. My weekend at the Fairmont is a chance to get away from the day-to-day, relax and enjoy myself. Great […] restaurants, all of downtown and museums surround the hotel. Yet, mostly I just relaxed and read in my peaceful room with great views, when not watching tennis. It was a great getaway and one I look forward to again next year! Mehr

We stayed at the Fairmont for a weekend during the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The King size suite that we had was not as much of an upgrade as some hotels that we have stayed in. It also was not in the original hotel but in a separate building next to it making it a bit inconvenient. Room was a bit small and only had one comfy chair and a small […] table with 2 chairs. The lamp on the table was broken. We could not get the air conditioning to stay on and were sweating during the night. Radio did not get the local radio station clearly. Fridge minibar was not cold or on. Maid service did not replace the glasses used. There was no fan in the bathroom. The restaurant in the hotel had good service and food for breakfast and we got there early enough that we didn't have to wait but there was a long line after we arrived. There were great restaurants in easy walking distance that we also enjoyed. The only parking offered at the hotel is valet which was convenient. Mehr

Pretty hotel and pleasant staff but it's overrated for the cost. Stayed here for proximity to convention center. I brought my own food to cut costs and the room has no microwave and the fridge that is in the room is fully stocked; however, if you move something in it or put your own food in fridge you will be charged....holy cow!!!! I did ask for access […] to a microwave and was basically told i was out of luck. If I were Jennifer Lopez, they would've gotten one for me. I ended up purchasing one and carried it through lobby right on up to my room. Parking is $26/night---man alive I wasn't expecting that!!! There was nothing special about this room/hotel that made me say "Ohh, wow!!! I will definitely stay here again." The opposite is what I say. I come up every year and I will definitely be staying at another hotel next year. If you have money to throw away and plan on $40 for every meal, then stay here. If you don't stay somewhere else!!!! I found The Fairmont to be a very nice hotel situated in the heart of downtown San José. The Fairmont lacks the charm of upscale boutique hotels having similar room rates, but the hotel amenities and staff were all top notch.

We truely enjoyed our weekend at the Fsirmont. We usually stay at the Hilton or Marriott (both connected to the convention center), but hey were both soldout, so we chose to stay at the Fairmont. We went to the Fairmont for New Years and it was wonderful. This is a top notch place to stay with great service at the front desk, nice employees for the most part. There was a blonde cocktail waitress in the main reception area where afternoon tea is held. She never got around to serving us a drink and when I finally decided to hunt her down she said […] she was by herself, too busy and to basically go get my drink at the bar myself if I wanted it. That's okay though, the cocktail waiter got my fat tip instead of little miss attitude. LOL Other than her, the stay was perfect. Mehr

Love everything about the hotel

An amazing hotel and location. Off the chart excellence. Priced right!! Downtown San Jose is on the comeback -- hotel, restaurants, convention center, performing arts. The Fairmont is within easy walking distance of the Performing Arts Center (Ballet, Live Broadway Shows), San Jose Repertory Theater, Historic California Theater (Opera San Jose, Silicon […] Valley Symphony), Tech Museum, Etc.! Very nice top-of-the-line hotel: luxurious and well maintained. With the exception of an additional $26.00 per day for parking, it was wonderful.

Only thing I did not like was the inability to put things in the refrigerator. Also, no in room coffee was a bummer as well.

Beautiful hotel. Convenient to the HP Pavilion, and many restaurants. Easy to locate from the freeway. The staff approved an upgrade from a Queen room to a King room, at no cost, as the hotel was not fully booked. The room was clean, roomy and had a nice view. If we are ever in San Jose again, we will definitely stay at the Fairmont.

My friend and I stayed overnight at the Fairmont Hotel so that we could attend a performance of a string orchestra at Le Petite Trianon (a convenient four blocks away). Our car was whisked away to the underground garage ($26.00/day--unlimited in and out) and check in lasted no more than two minutes with a very polite desk clerk. The room was immaculate […] with everything we could possibly need. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. My only negative is that the elevators were extremely slow. We waited at least ten minutes after check-in and finally were able to go to our room. Oh, on the 12th floor--the sunset view was spectacular! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Fairmont to anyone. Mehr

We stayed for just one night after attending a wedding at a hotel down the street. This hotel was phenomenal! Our room had a lovely view of the city lights and the planes flying closely by to the airport. The room was so beautiful, and most importantly, clean! One if the cleanest hotels I've EVER been to. GREAT location for the end of the SJ RNR Half Marathon!

What can be said about the Fairmont. The rooms, the restuarants, the service, all was excellent. I can't wait to return.

The hotel was great. The only thing to be aware was that the room description on Hotels.com said that the room had a jet tub. I was so lookign for ward to soaking in teh jettub, but sadly there was no jet tub, just a regular tub.

The Fairmont is a brilliant hotel to relax, unwind, and enjoy the surrounding nightlife. The Pagoda restaurant in the hotel is superb and reasonably priced. The Fountain Restaurant brunch was excellent, but the forty-four dollar price tag is definitely for someone who plans on having a sumptuous breakfast and waiting until dinner for the next meal. […] The room was immaculate, the bathroom immaculate, the room service impeccable. We are planning on keeping this hotel on our "to go to" list when we visit San Jose in the future. For our LGBT sisters and brothers, this hotel is located in the heart of the "gay" nightclub life; all within walking distance of the hotel. The CalTrain station is only a ten dollar taxi ride away. The cheaper parking was hard to find, I just gave up and did the valet. There is only one vending machine in the hotel that works. The bakery across next to hotel is so awesome for breakfast in the morning.

From check-in to check-out, the excellence of service never changes. The hotel sports a 4 star, but should have an extra star in my opinion. It's a world-class hotel that can compete anywhere for professional service, facilities and amenities.

This wasn’t our first Fairmont experience and whilst the San Jose hotel doesn’t compare to the luxurious ambiance of the Banff or Whistler properties, for a business district, it is a wonderful accommodation. Our room was large, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, the toilet is separate from the shower and there was also a separate vanity. Since we […] had to get ready for an early morning flight, this configuration was definiately beneficial. Staff members were professional and amiable even whilst going through the pressure of dealing with an elevator meltdown. Unbeknown to us, our arrival coincided with the conclusion of the San Jose Jazz Summer Festival, so even though the hotel was very busy, we still received good service. Mehr
