Das Hotel lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Tolle große Zimmer mit allem erdenklichen Komfort. Im Badezimmer sogar ein Whirlpool! Toll wäre, wenn bei der Größe des Zimmers im Wohnbereich das Sofa eine Schlafcouch mit Aufbettung für die 3. und 4. Person eingerichtet wäre. Aber, das ist nur eine Anregung, keinerlei Kritik.Die Lage ist auch klasse, nur ein etwa 150 langer Spaziergang und man ist mitten auf dem Strip. Wenn wir mal wieder kommen, würden wir sehr gern wieder hier wohnen!!

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit toller Aussicht, ruhig und doch sehr zentral gelegen. Das Hotel war sauber und ordentlich, leider wurde bei unseren 2 Übernachtungen nach der ersten Nacht wohl vergessen unser Zimmer zu reinigen, ok gibt schlimmeres, man kann ja die Handtücher auch 2x benutzen und da man in Vegas eh erst spät zurück ins Zimmer kommt, gehts halt mal in ein ungemachtes Bett. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel wird zur Zeit umgebaut, wir haben davon aber nichts mitbekommen, das Zimmer war schön ruhig. Da man direkt in der Freemont Street wohnt, kann man, sofern man nicht auf den Vegas Strip möchte, sein Auto stehen lassen und auch mal ein paar Drinks mehr zu sich nehmen. Die Freemont Street hat sich noch ein wenig den ursprünglichen Charme und Charakter von Vegas erhalten, es gibt hier sogar noch einige Casinos, wo man noch mit Münzen in den Slotmachines spielen kann. Wer mehr als nur 1-2 Nächte in Vegas verbringt, sollte sich diesen Teil der Stadt unbedingt auch mal anschauen, es lohnt sich. Wir würden beim nächsten Vegas Aufenthalt in diesem Hote auf jeden Fall wieder übernachten

"Empfehlenswert bei nicht zu hohen Ansprüchen"
Das Riviera ist ein älteres Hotel, mit geringen Abnutzungserscheinungen, die zwar auffallen aber nicht unbedingt stören. Durch die Lage am oberen Strip ist das Riviera sehr zentral, mit Auto oder öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sind die Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu erreichen, zu Fuß ist es aber zu weit. Empfehlenswert sind die Sehenwürdigkeiten in der Umgebung, […] z.B. Hooverdam, Red Rock Canyon und v.a. der Valley of Fire State Park (Tagesausflüge). Den Abend kann man dann in der schillernden Welt der Kasinos und Shows verbringen. Mehr
Diese Hotel ist sicherlich schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und entspricht nicht wirklich heutigen Ansprüchen. Es ist halt dafür auch billiger als die anderen Hotel, dass ist aber auch schon das einzig positive an dem Hotel. Wem der Komfort nicht so wichtig ist und Geld sparen möchte, ist sicherlich richtig. "Schlange stehen beim Check-in trotz Reservierung"
Beim Check-in wurde nicht zwischen Gästen mit Buchung und ohne Buchung unterschieden, woraus sich eine unangemessene Wartezeit ergab.
"Good for the price"
Waiting in line forever just to check in was ridiculous. Also, if you are planning to take a cab: the hotel is at the end of the strip, so this will add quite an extra amount to your bill. Apart from that the price was good and the location alright. We can recommend the brunch/breakfast (Garden Fresh) which was tasty.

The Riveria Hotel is on the strip but it is the last Hotel on the newer part of the strip. Even though it is old, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. It is a good place to stay if you want to be on the strip but do not want to spend as much money as if staying at one of the newer hotels (especially on a weekend). Für ein Hotel in Las Vegas hatten wir mehr erwartet. Positiv war ein echt früher Check In - 11Uhr!
"Super Zimmer und eine echte Erfahrung"
Das Hotel ist riesig und mit dem angeschlossenen KAsino auch echt etwas extrem, weil alles blinkt und leuchtet. Aber unser Zimmer im Monaco Tower war total super, renoviert und gemuetlich. Pool konnte man auch benutzen, Handtuecher gabs inklusive. Parken war umsonst und auch kein Problem, da das Hotel ein grosses Parkhaus hat. Das einzige Bloede war […] eine zusaetzlich zu zahlende Energy Charge von 4 Dollar pro Tag. Aber bei dem billigen Gesamtpreis kann man sich dartueber auch nicht beschweren!! Mehr

Wir haben vom Stratosphere auf dieses Hotel gewechselt und das war es wirklich wert! Es war sogar günstiger, aber dafür war das Zimmer ordentlich und sauber, vor allem gibt es auch Fenster zum Lüften! Würden es weiterempfehlen!

"Worst hotel ever"
This hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in. Booked a renovated luxury room but advised by front desk when I asked to be moved due to the condition of the bathroom, only the area with bed had been renovated. I contacted Hotels.com & they organised my move to another hotel after the first night & being told by hotel, I was in one of the best rooms, […] also had welts on my skin after being bitten by something in the bed! I was pleased to see the the rennovations. I love the cabanas! My room (with a view of the pool) was neat and clean and the staff was courteous and efficient. The service was excellent and so was the food. I appreciate the location because it is located between Downtown (Freemont Street) and the excitement of the newer hotels where there is much traffic […] and congestion. I was very surprised mhen I checked in to my room. The carpeting was shredded in parts. The bathroom was very bad......tiolet seat was discolored brown. The pipes were dirty and rusty. The grout was discolored also. The air cond. unit was very old and outdated. The bed was made however, was shortsheeted and not tucked. I called the front desk and they […] switched me to another room. Upon examination of new room, I was better as far as cleanliness. The room was still outdated and worn. I did spend the night and checked out the next day. I proceeded to another hotel for the rest of my stay. Mehr

"I think I'm done with this hotel"
This was my 2nd stay at the Riviera. The 1st time there was no pool. However my room was farely decent. This 2nd time the pool was nice, but my room was awful! It's like they freshened up the bed linens & put up a flatscreen tv, but everything else was still old & not fres. I know you get what you pay for, but this was ridiculous. Not to mention you […] had to walk a country mile from check-in and valet to your room. It may have been which tower I was in, but it was very inconvenient. Mehr

"Rivera review"
The Rivera is a nice place though that end of the strip is getting pretty isolated since they have torn down so many other properties. They have closed up many of the small shops in the Rivera and added more slots in those areas. We had a classic room which means in the old section, two double beds only and a very small bathroom with no place to set […] any items out. The room was clean but I would upgrade next time. The only real complaint was check in is awful slow everytime we went to the desk there was a long line and it averages about 1 hr to check in. Also the TV checkout system only works from 6AM until 2:30 PM which isn't much good for early morning flights. Food prices have gone up everywhere in Vegas, a sign of the times since gambling is off some. Parking is convenient and there is a CVS drugstore not far away if you forget something. If you have kids there is a McDonalds across the street and Circus Circus is also across the street if you want to do their kid activites. Rivera has a very nice large pool but it closes at 6 PM. "Never Again"
I was in the room less than 5 minutes and the maintenance man showed up telling me the maid had reported a clogged bath tub. After three visits and two snakes he cleared it. One hour later the toilet was full of hair I guess he tried to flush it down the toilet.
i found a bed bug in my room and security said it was not a bed bug but i know what a bed bug looks like because i work for a hotel and i've seen them before, they didnt offer any upgrade or anything
1. The "I.T." staff competent and helpful 2. The housekeeping people were delightful and wonderful 3. The front desk people for the most part were ok 4. The Internet service is terrible at best, sporadic and unusable at worst 5. The additional charge for "resort fee" was unannounced, unreasonable, and unacceptable - this blatant extortion is a deal-killer […] for future stays; otherwise we would return to the hotel again Mehr

"Needs updating"
Too far off the strip. The hotel is dated and needs an uplift. Comfortable room, but no atmosphere.

The hotel was fine for the price. It was not a luxurious hotel like some of the other hotels on the strip, but it's clean and comfortable, and it's on the strip. The only complaint I had was that it was a little noisy. I think the walls are a little thin.
Check in was a miserable experience. No perks with room, not even a morning cup of coffee. Only good experience was the pool but even that closed too early. Overall, won't be back.

The hotel is at the far end of the strip, so the closest hotel is about a 10 minute walk. Everything else is much further. The dining choices in the hotel weren't too bad, some over priced but for the most part fair. The staff wasn't very helpful with information, and it's really hard to get drinks in the casino unless you are at the bar or a live table. […] The room was outdated, one of the beds was very worn & sunk in in the middle, but room service was awesome at bringing clean towels & freshening up our room when asked. I probably wouldn't stay here again unless I was going to an event at the conference center behind it. Mehr

Hotel was old and dirty, it was located in an unsafe area, it was very far from the main strip by all the big hotels. I would NOT recommend this hotel at all!!!!

I like to try different hotels when I stay in Vegas and a few of them I've stayed in more than once, but I won't stay here again. The room was dusty (it would've failed the white glove test). The picture of the outside looks better than the inside. Very outdated. Not satisfied.
the rooms in the san mateo area of the hotel are horrible...which is where they put us...hate to say I would never stay there again...
The place is just OK. A decent value given the low price.
