Ramada At River Ridge - Asheville

die vielleicht nicht so gut englisch können und zu viel Fragen, geht es den männlichen Rezeptionisten über die Geduld. Die Zimmer waren bereits von Deutschland aus gebucht und bezahlt gewesen. Dennoch bestand das Hotel auf das Einlesen der Kreditkarte. Dies ist uns schon einiger mal passiert, aber da auch andere Hotels die wir vorab bezahlt haben nicht […] unbedingt die kreditkarte haben wollten, wollten wir es hier doch erläutert haben. Es diente dem Hotel als Versicherung, wenn etwas im Zimmer beschädigt wird. Es fand aber keine Abnahme des zimmers statt. Unser zimmer lag im Nebengebäude im Unterschoß ohne Fahrstuhl. Die schweren Koffer mußten die Treppe rauf und runter getragen werden. Das Zimmer war sehr duster. Gegenüber der Zimmertür standen Matratzen und alte Möbelsstücke. Nicht besonders ansehnlich. Das Internet, welches kostenlos zur Verfügung stand, ging nie. Mehr

The hotel needs to be up dated.

Hotel stay was very nice .We were there only one night but were pleased with the whole experience.Thermostat control did not let room stay as cool as I like but set on 65' we managed.We were 5 minutes away from our soccer field destination so that really helped a lot.

Vry nice hotel for the money. the breakfast was more than adequate for a meal included in the price of the room

Room was overall good. The extra had a huge stain running down the sheet and even when exposed it was not changed. Not sure if the hot complimentary breakfast was good or not. Always so cramped you couldn't move so I just didn't eat. Not enough seating for breakfast either.

Our stay there was pleasant and comfortable. I would recommend someone to stay, the only problem was the room coffeemaker didn;t work but not a problem because we had comp breakfast in hotel.

the bathroom was large and very clean and updated. bed was comfortable!

i stayed 3 wks... tv selection was good...breakfast ok beds were comfortable... 5 min from downtown dining... it could have been updated rooms decor / paint but it was ok...i had my dog staff was friendly

Open the door to this hotel & the smell hits your nose immediately. Carpets reek of bug spray & other chemicals. Nice place, just do something about those carpets, Ramada!

Room was clean, service was friendly. Continental breakfast was not great. Limited seating and food was a little cold. The room was right next to the kitchen so there was some noise. All in all a nice hotel, I would return in the future.

Just OK for a few days. It is good locatoin to smoky mt. and blue ridege pkwy (for 1 day trip). Just near highway exit (I-40, 53B)

It was an older hotel, needed a face lift. the walls were very thin we could hear our neighbors very clearly. The staff was very nice and the breakfast buffet was very good had a variety.

It's difficult at best for employees to offer excellent service when it is apparent that the owners do not take pride in their property.To qualify for even a two star the entire property needs a complete facelift. I understand the costs envolved but the ROI with better reviews and repeat customers would keep this otherwise lovely hotel from tarnishing […] theRAMADA moniker. Mehr

the Ramada inn was allright,we had driven for nine hours and was very tired when we arrived, my companion,myself, and my sister are all handicap ,myself with a really bad back,my companion had both of his feet broken and has stayed with constant pain,and my sister who is 89 years old has bad feet,we had to climb 2 flights of stairs with our luggage […] !! that is unheard of these days,that hotel needs an elavator. Had to walk around dog poop on stairs to enter hotel someone had dogs on third floor (not suppose to be on that floor) the dogs had been sick all over the stairs, Saturday hot breakfast had no breakfast meat at all,no place to sit and eat way too many people .People were standing and holding plates in hand and trying to eat. Overall the hotel is run down with older appliances/fixtures/etc. The hallways smell smoky and dusty. The room itself (king suite) was very large and was clean, but everything seemed in poor shape. The surrounding area isn't the best--in the middle of a plaza with McDonald's and KFC, but we never felt unsafe and the noise was at a minimum. Overall, […] an okay place to say. This "hotel" is a haven for drug dealers and "hourly' customers. It is dreadful & I wouldn't stay there again regardless of the price. Hotels.com would be well advised to remove them from their system so they won't lose another customer...they've lost me. Ramada Inn would be similarly well advised to take their sign down YESTERDAY.

room was clean and relatively inexpensive. double beds unfortunately ... no choice of a king or queen. TV was an old tube model. Most hotels have upgraded to at least a low-end flat panel.

Morning breakfast had an excellent variety of choices. Rooms were clean although the furnishing were a bit worn. Staff was extremely helpful. Grounds, parking lot were clean. Would recommend hotel to others for a reasonable cost hotel to others, conveniently located to sights around Ashville.

The hotel is a bit removed from town which once we learned our way around was not bad. We were met by a receptionist that acted like she hated her job. I've been treated more enthusiastically at McDonalds. The pool and the hot tub were closed "due to weather" despite the fact it was 70's and 80's the whole 4 days we were there. I hung a few shirts on […] the garment bag hanger and the entire rack in our room fell down. To their credit the maintence crew was there with in 12 hours and had it "fixed" however he hung up all my clothes on it when he left which was really sweet. But when we had returned the entire thing had fallen again and all my clothes were covered in white sheet rock. The carpet was old and dingy but the rooms and maids were good. They moved us to the room next door which was a pain but the clothing rack worked. For the price it wasn't bad but I think they could get nicer front desk people that care. The maintence and housekeepers were awesome. I would stay there again since it was cheap but it wouldn't be my first choice. Mehr

The Asheville Ramada offered one of the best prices in the area but the reviews reflected real dissatisfaction with the quality of the hotel. I didn't find any of that to be my experience at all. The room was very nice. It was clean. The staff was very helpful. The buffet breakfast was great. All in all, it was a wonderful two-night stay. Highly re […] commended. Mehr

I liked the location of this motel and staff were all very friendly. The rooms are in pretty poor condition- need new carpet, updated wallpaper (it was coming off in some spots in the bathroom), and need to make sure rooms are clean prior to someome checking in. Our room has a terrible smell. We cleaned it our self. We found old molded rotten food under […] the bed- not a very plesent thing to find or smell. Mehr

This hotel I have stayed in twice now and enjoyed it both times. They have a very good breakfast a nice pool and the employees are very sweet. They are always very nice about accommodating pets. They seem to have a safe parking lot from my experience.

I think we were the only Americans at thisplace so it sorta felt like North Carolina was in the EU. Great acess to any road to anywhere. There was a new roof being put in that week but there wa no noise ....nice breakfast everyday, very convenient. Zero romance factor, but the town of Aheville has plenty to spare.

We had a reasonable rate when compared to other Asheville accomodations. Being set back from the main road, it was removed from traffic sounds. In-room A/C was loud. Breakfast included saved $$. Staff was very courteous. Location was convenient to the sights we wanted to visit.

We felt trapped when we got into our room, it was late and the halls smelled, the room too smelled with filthy floors and a strong smell of dust , iffy bedding, air conditioner also didn't work well. I will never stay here again and I would never recommend it. I ran into a young lady who was saying her phone didn't work and they tried to get a reduction […] in what they paid because of the condition of their room. The reasonably priced clean places were booked so there wasn't any place for those of us who unhappy to go. Horrible nights sleep prior to my husbands surgery. Mehr

This was our second stay here. This trip we stayed in Asheville another day to relax and hang around the pool. I absolutely recommend this place, especially for families.

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stray at the Ramada at River Ridge. The room was clean and comfortable and the cleaning staff paid extra attention to detail while cleaning each day. The entire staff was freindly and attentive to us at all times. We also enjoyed the Breakfast each morning. We would positively stay there again when visiting that […] area. Mehr

The decor in the rooms seemed to be from 1992. The room had a foul odor to it at first, but went away after a few hours. Pool was great! Front desk manager was not helpful or accommidating, very rude. The other staff members were very helpful though.

Hotel was old and outdated. No fridge. No microwave. WiFi does not work. Breakfast was very disapointing.

Arrived around 6 and room was hot. Took over an hr. for room to be comfortable. Drain in tub need to be cleaned so that after a 5min.shower you wern't standing in 4 in of water. Light next to TV not working. Quality of breakfeast was poor. To spend that much money for one night I expected MUCH BETTER .

I rarely stay at a two-star hotel but it was just one night and the price was good. I was surprised...there were only two problems...no lock on the outside door on ground level, and there was the old carpet which smelled like old carpet. The room was fine and the shower was excellent. The bed was very comfortable.

Comfortable bed and room, very responsive staff, good breakfast, clean well kept pool - we will definitely stay there again.

First room was smokey in a non smoking room, second room had hair on the sheets. Third room was clean. The room had an inside entrance but the door to the hallway was always unlocked. The hotel is old and in need of a total make over. The staff was friendly. The price was right.

we had a king suite - the bedroom was very cramped & the living room never got cool. the jacuzzi tub was nice. hallways were dark & dingy. the property was old, but had some nice amenities like a playground and a fenced area. the pool was very nice but the hot tub wasn't even close to warm. the hot breakfast was ok. we were happy we could have our dog […] with us. the hotel was hard to find at first.
