Hotel liegt im etwas "ruhigeren" Buda. Mit öffentlichen Verkerhsmittel jedoch gut erreichbar. Bahnhof Deli (wichtig für die, die weiterreisen oder Ausflüge unternehmen), Supermarkt und anderes in unmittelbarer Nähe. Duschfreunde kommen voll auf ihre Kosten (im gezeigten Video wird für die Duschkabine ein Plastik-Vorhang gezeigt; wir haben aber eine […] Glastür vorgefunden). Frühstück können wir nicht bewerten, da nicht in Anspruch genommen; wir begnügen uns mit Croissant + Kaffee. Personal sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Zimmer + Bad zweckmässig eingerichtet; es hat an nichts gefehlt. Sehr empfehlenswert. Mehr

... Nähe zu den schönen Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der Buda-Seite. Von dem Hotel aus muss man nur zwei Straßen überqueren und schon ist man vor dem "Berg" auf der Budaseite, von dem aus man die ganze Pestseite überblicken und sich auch die schönen Sehenswürdigkeiten von der Budaseite angucken kann. Das Hotel ist von Innen sauber und auch die Zimmer sind […] sauber und in einem guten Zustand. Leider sieht das Hotel von Aussen nicht mehr ganz so schön aus. :-( Zu dem Essen und dem Wellness-Bereichs des Hotels können wir leider nichts sagen, da wir im Hotel nicht gegessen haben und der Wellness-Bereich gerade renoviert wurde. Man konnte aber den Wellness-Bereich in einem anderen Hotel nutzen (nur leider lag das Hotel ca 3 km vom Mercure Budapest Buda entfernet und es es gab keinen Fahrservice oder sonstiges zu dem Hotel...). Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir aber sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel, von der Lage her und auch von der Sauberkeit! Mehr

It was pleasure to stay in the hotel, as first time visitor I was surprising in good way. There is free parking, free internet which is big + From time to time there is noise of the train, since the Southern train station behind it, but is not a problem

Old, basic facilities e.g. kettle, additional pillows, etc. require additional payment, hotel charges and taxes not included in booking charges with hotels.com. This hotel also entertains mostly tour groups, hundreds of rooms by the highway/tramway, hence very noisy. Part of the hotel has been refurbished, but the rest, which are old and musty, are […] evidently reserved for cheap discounts. Cheap, not too far from centre, friendly staff, very good value for money

Mercure Budapest Buda is in a wonderful location. It is a short block from the end of the red metro. The metro is safe, clean and timely. We got a three day pass so that we simply jumped an the trams, buses and/or the metro to go everywhere. If you walk through the park in front of the hotel and then climb the stairs, you will arrive at St Matthais […] chruch, wonderful concerts, small winding streets and the Castle. We looked foreward to the small breakfast at the bar location and chose "lite breakfast' with wonderful coffee, mueslic, fresh yogurt, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. Sandwiched between a train station and VERY noisy trams the transportation aspect is a lot better than the night's rest you get (or do not get). Our room had a non-working air conditioning which was not fixed during the four days we stayed there even though we told the front desk right away. We stayed at two different hotels during our stay. Hotel Mercur Buda is located very close to the train station as well as the Castle district. As you get out of hotel, go to the left and you will get to the train station in 5 minutes. There are some shops and a supermarket nearby. The neighborhood, although safe, is not very good. On the other hand, […] if you turn right as you exit the hotel, within 20 minutes you will reach the Castle district with many nice restaurants and a beautiful neighborhood. Clean hotel with friendliy staff. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing special. It's an easy walk up to the castle and the Deli train station with metro connections to the city center is just around the corner. Overall a very good stay.

excellent hotel to stay in for easy access to the Castle Hill area of Budapest as well as most other areas including the Chain Bridge. Hotel arranged taxi from airport, room was clean and although limited there was tea & coffee facilities in the room as well as a free bottle of water. only one com[laint was that the service in the restaurant was a bit […] slow and the waiter miserable but the set meal we had for 5990 HUF included a glass of wine and i have to say was excellent food Mehr

The behavior of some employee in this hotel wasn't polite and they sometimes tried to take from me more money than they i had to pay. I can't say that they were all of them kindly helpful to my questions and sometimes their answers to specific things for the hotel was different so i couldn't feel safety in this hotel. Some of them were ironic.

Lovely friendly staff who were incredibly helpful. I wasn't 100% happy with the first room I was given on the 1st floor. It had no view, a poor wifi signal and smelled a little must, but even though the hotel was almost at capacity they worked really hard to move me a really great room on 4th floor which was very very clean and tidy and a bit bigger. […] The major plus was that it overlooked the park and castle. This wasn't even one of the extra cost rooms (€20 / night upgrade) so this was really excellent value for money. Stayed on business for 6 nights, no complaints. Mehr

hotel was great, staff was great. this location lives up to its tripadvisor.com rating. However, there is free street parking across the hotel..DO NOT PARK there as it is ghetto and cars are broken into. I advise parking in Mercure's secured parking lot for 16 euro a night. This hotel also makes it ideal to join the free budapest walking tour as it […] finishes near st. matthias church which is a ten minute walk to the hotel if you cut across the park which is across from the hotel. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at in Europe. Their air conditioning system is a bit weak though... Mehr

Rooms are a bit small, but fine for business use where one does not spend much time in the room. Close to shopping, tourist sites and amenities. Some noise from the corridor and outside street, but not too much. No "do not disturb" sign available and cleaning staff start at 8 am. Breakfast buffet had lots of food, but the hot food was cold. Hotels.com got us a great discount on our stay, otherwise i wouldn't pay full price (45€! per night) for the room we got. Beds were not comfortable, aircon broken and the window could only be opened a few centimeters. Biggest worry was that we suspect mold in the room! The building is old and the interiors best before date past a while ago. Every morning […] we woke up or after we spent a couple of hours in the room without the window open we started feeling nauseous. The service when we arrived was quite pour. Some trainee that barely spoke English (ok if she wanted to learn but come on...). But it was when she asked me for my credit card that I got really insecure. She suddenly asked in broken English, super insecure (!), if she could have my credit card. First without explaining why. And I'm not very experienced and did not know hotels used to do this. But it was for extra charges such as the minibar etc. I thought they charged this when you checked out. And I had just left them my home address, passport number, social security number etc. And now the wanted my credit card. And I'm really cautious when it comes to leaving all this info to strangers aboard, if you know what I mean... Otherwise Budapest made our vacation splendid! Fantastic city, safe, nice people, spoke good English... The hotel is next to the metro which works great. And a grocery store "CBA Prima". Lots of them all over town, great, accepts cards (otherwise cash is king). Anyway all'n'all, great stay but wouldn't pay full price for the room. Maybe you are much more in luck next time. Oh yeah and don't forget that you have to pay that ridiculous made up fee called "tourist tax" when you check out. Pathetic made up charge if you ask me. Mehr

Mercure Buda was an excellent place to stay. The service was great and we are thankful for that. We do stay in this hotel every year so we know it is a good place to be, and nice people to work with as far as the service and serving goes. So A+++ and a big THANKS

I had three areas of concern while staying there. One the pool and exercise room were out of order. I was told upon arrival that arrangements have been made with Novotel Hotel to use their pool. That it was a 7 minute walk, that was not true it was three tram stops and or a taxi ride to Novotel from Murcure Buda, I took a taxi to Novotel to find that […] their pool and exercise room was also closed. When reporting this to my hotel staff I was then told that the pool was not under renovation and they did not know if or when it would be open. So if pool and exercise are important this is not the place to stay. Second one of the elevators was not working properly it was reported but was not fixed in the 10 days we were there. Third the breakfast menu was limited offering the same things every day. Mehr

This hotel had a good location, right next to the metro and you could walk to all the sights as well. its hard to say there isn't a beautiful place in Budapest so you can't go wrong. The breakfasts were not included in the lower priced rooms, I don't know about the other ones. But if you are budget traveling there is a grocery store and a cafeteria […] on the same street. Mehr

We also arrived early at this hotel after a night train but they were happy to check us in. The hotel is quite basic and unfortunatly the pooll was out of use. We didnt eat or stay much at the hotel as we were always in the city. Very handy location next to a metro with 5 mins ride into the centre. lite väl lyhört, nära till tunnelbanan, trevlig park utanför hotellet, kändes som ett tryggt område, bra service, inte så skön säng dock.

Loistava sijainti, lähellä kaikkea, ratikka kulkee lähes oven edestä. Rauhallinen hotelli, pintaremontti voisi olla huoneissa paikallaan. Aamiainen hintava, mutta hotelli sijaitsee lähellä ihania bistroja kuten esim. Déryné.Sijaintinsa vuoksi helppo poiketa tipauttamaan esim. ostokset kesken päivän ja jatkaa taas matkaa. Vi var svært fornøyd med oppholdet. Rene, pene rom med normal komfort. Korrekt og høflig betjening Smakfullt frokosttilbud. Kort vei til undergrunnsbane med kort tid til sentrum i Pest. Et lite minus at vårt rom lå ut mot støyende gate.

Hotel propre, bien situé, proche du Metro et sites touristiques

Mycket bra standard i relation till priset. Centralt och perfekt läge om man skall resa vidare med tåg från Budpest Deli.

Trevligt hotell med bra frukost, men vill man uppleva Budapest så bör man nog söka ett hotell på "Pest-sidan". Avstånden är långa och det är taxi eller tunnelbana som gäller eftersom det är väldigt kuperat om man ska sig fram till fots.

Ottimo hotel, buon rapporto qualità prezzo, stanze grandi e pulite, personale gentile e disponibile. ben posizionato per visitare la collina gellert e la zona del castello, vicino al ponte delle catene ma non molto comodo per visitare la zona di pest anche se tram e autobus hanno fermate proprio nei pressi dell'hotel.

Hotellet ligger med udsigt til Buda slottet og der er flot og rent på hotellet. Morgenmaden er rigtig god og der er gode tilkørselsforhold hvis man kommer med bil. Der er også en parkeringskælder.

It's a classical big modern hotel 1 minute far from the underground station. Large room but with worn carpet. The garage costs more than 20 euros per day. Nothing else to signal.

インテリアが重苦しい。 レセプションの対応、態度が良い。 朝食がなかなか素晴らしい。 城の眺めはいまひとつ。 地下鉄駅に至近。 近くに夜遅くまでopenしている小さな食料品店があり、便利。

Hotel was in a very good location if you want to stay in Buda side. 10 min. walk to the historical places and a few minutes walk to the Metro station. Rooms were nice, except the fact that they were a little cold at night and air condition was rather making noise instead of working.
