äußerst freundliches Personal, sehr schönes Hotel im europäischen Stil, prunkvolle Fassade, schöne Lobby, etc., Pool auf dem Dach ist herrlich und schöner Ausblick, man kann zu Fuß mühelos das gesamte French Quarter abgehen, liegt inmitten aller Sehenswürdigkeiten im Quarter und dennoch ruhige Lage, Zimmer waren sehr schön und von der Größe für ein […] Stadthotel im Quarter in Ordnung, Zimmerservice tadellos: Bademäntel, Handtücher, etc. , Saint Louis Street im allgemeinen eine sehr schöne Straße, Gegend sicher und nachts kein Problem, viele Möglichkeiten gleich in der Nähe zu essen, frühstücken, etc. Bourbonstreet nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt, aber weit genug vom lauten Nachttrubel dieser Straße, wir würden sofort wieder dorthin, war meines Erachtens von Lage und Aussehen eines der besten im Quarter. This hotel is so convenient to many attractions in the French Quarter and surrounding area, including Jackson Square and the French Market. Very clean room with a very comfortable bed and linens. Great service too!

Perfect location.......walking distance to everything.

Excellent location in French Quarter, top notch service. One complaint: the mattress in our room was in terrible condition, side coils on my side of the bed were flat and offered no support. Mattress needs to be changed out badly.

Great location in the French Quarter. Quiet. Staff very helpful

This hotel was within blocks of everything you want to see in the French Quarter. The hotel itself was quaint, clean and the staff was super helpful. The pool on the roof was perfect if you wanted a break from your day out and about. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have that perfect New Orleans experience. The counter space in the bathroom was too small to lay out pills and shaver. It was a bother. The room was otherwise very adequate. They said I got the small room because I booked through a third party ather than calling direct.

The location of the hotel was great. Facilities were first rate; the room was a bit small but comfortable. The bathroom was very small with very limited amount of counter space. Staff was friendly and bent over backward to be helpful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Stayed here three nights-February 2012 The location is great-block from Bourbon Street & right in the heart of the French Quarter! Bed is comfortable and there's rooftop pool/gym with a beautiful view of the Mississippi River. Highly Recommend! The only thing that could have been better was the tv. This hotel was very centrally located to the French Quarter. It was one street off of Bourbon so it was quiet at night but convenient to go out. Rooms were clean and comfy and views were good.

Great place to recover after working on houses all day...just far enough from Burbon street to avoid the madness, great walking location, great staff..

It had been three years since our last visit to New Orleans, and we decided to stay at the Royal Orleans primarily because of location. Cannot be beat! After walking the Quarter, we were thrilled with our decision to stay "off Bourbon." Royal and St. Louis suited us perfectly! Staff was wonderful from beginning to end. Great location in the French Quarter. Nice courtyard & rooftop view of the Mississippi River, St Louis Cathedral & the Quarter. Restaurant is excellent, but make reservations!

Small bath room, too little space for toaletries, small room, windows don't open. But antique European charm in the best part of the French Quarters.

Location of the hotel was great, but our petite room was extremely small. Only the bed could fit in the room. Some of my friends got a vacation rental and other rooms at smaller hotels but had huge rooms. The omni service is nice, but you might be better off doing some research on B&Bs to have a nice French Quarter experience.

I loved the Hotel,very classy, great location. One problem slight;y spoiled the experience. On our last evening we decided to eat in the Rib Room Restaurant.The food and ambiance were 1st class but we were quite shocked when after spending aprrox.$120 for 2 staters,2 maincorses and a bottle of wine, my friend who is from New Zealand and myself, British […] born but livng for many years in spain and both very seasoned travelors left what we considered a reasonable tip 10% (the wairess was pleasant but definately not a "maitre d" as we would have in europe or N.Z in a restarant of this catorgary) can back to us and asked why we had left such a small tip! and told us that they expected 20%.Not wishing to spoil what had been a lovely stay we handed over the exra cash.We both found this quite upsetting and whilst i would never stay in any other Hotel in New Orleans I would not eat in the restaurant again. Great. Location. We stayed in one of the smallest rooms this side of Paris. Extremely cramped. Bathroom was equally small with nowhere to place toilet articles. Bathtub grout was filthy and had referred from the tile surrounds. A vent directly above the tub was caked in dust. Maybe the larger rooms are better kept?

The Royal Orleans has always been a fine hotel with great service and Omni hasn't hurt it. Our room was small but we opted for a small room. Location is a block from bourbon St., which unfortunately has not maintained its standards like the hotel...all rock and no jazz.

Fantastic patio suite with French doors leading out to the center courtyard.. beautiful! Our room was small but very nice. Best trip weve ever had to New Orleans. Staff was professional & friendly. Rooftop is a must & the location is absolutely perfect. If you want a true French Quarter feel - this is your place!

Nice hotel, staff, good location in French Quarter, etc. only 'european queen' rooms have barely enough room for 2 slim people to turn around in. Bathrooms could use a shelf over the toilet and more towel bars / hooks.

We will definitely stay at the Omni Royal next time we come to New Orleans. It was beautiful and so close to all the restaurants and bars but when you are ready to go to bed and get away from the Bourbon St. noise its in the perfect location. The only thing we will do differently next time is use a parking garage next door instead of the hotel's because […] it was cheaper for overnight parking. Omni has great easy parking but at the back of the hotel there was a garage next door that charges less. Mehr

Perfect location! Amazing rooftop views of French quarter and Mississippi River.

Pros: The Omni location is perfect. You're truly in the heart of the scenic French Quarter, close to the sights, but far enough from Bourbon street to just be able to enjoy the ambiance. The staff is one of the most courteous and competent I've encountered. Loved that the bathroom was set up with plenty of counter space. Cons: I was told that they're […] going to refurbish the rooms and replace some of the clunkier furniture to create more space. I can only hope that they also intend to replace the beds. The mattress was so uneven that I had to prop myself up with pillows to keep from rolling off in the night-- not kidding. Room service was prompt but the food was uneven. No dish was ever the same twice and frequently what I got didn't look much like what I ordered. Also, while one rec from the concierge was fantastic (Hermes Bar), the other was abominable (Fleur de Lis). I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. It's the perfect homebase for exploring the many pleasures of NOLA. Mehr

We stayed 6 nights on our latest stay and were there for 5 nights in October. We love the Omni Royal in New Orlean and the helpful, courteous staff. The people at the Omni are wonderful. The location is superb and next to everything, particuarly if you like dining at world class restaurants. We love the pool on the top of the hotel and the fitness room. […] If you want people who treat you like you are in their home, the Omni is the place to stay. The location cannot be better. Centrally located in the French Quarter to everything, but quiet enough to be a refuge when you need it. Many great restaurants are just a block ... like Brennans, K-Pauls, and NOLA. Staff was friendly and professional. Roof deck is fun.

Christmas all over the place, (we were there during Christmas time), the staff were really friendly, the retaurant service and food great and you can not ask for a better location. We walked along beautiful streets, listen to great music and at the end of the day OMNI was our home. Thank to all the staff again!

Great location but room was very small and poorly maintained.

This is my 3rd visit to this hotel, and Im always pleased, The location speaks for itself, the value and the hotel staff are a step above and confrim my return business to the Royal location! Not to mention a comfortable bed & pillows while away from home - is worth a mint!!

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in New Orleans: right near all the great restaurants, shopping, sightseeing. There was one glitch with my room, however. The carpet had a big roll in it right between the bed and the desk. One could trip on it at night and get hurt. I asked that my room be changed and was accommodated. My second room had a slight bulge […] in the rug and was also stained. Many of the rooms are in need of renovation and sprucing up. All in all, an excellent place to stay for the comfort, dining facilities, and location. Mehr

Great weekend as usual. Live 5 minutes from the hotel and enjoy the get away every time. Roof top bar is the best in the city.

Hotel is in a great location in the French Quarter. Lived the Free Internet by joining Omni club which was easy. Price was good. I lucked out with that.

This hotel was perfect for our weekend getaway! Two blocks away from Bourbon Street and walking distance from all other attractions that we usually like to visit, such as Harrahs Casino and Mothers Restaurant. Fabulous hotel in every way...., staff were wonderful as well. I highly recommend this hotel and will never book anywhere else when in New Orleans in the future!!

We found the Omni Royal Orleans to be extremely beautiful, clean, quiet, and in a great location. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions on how to travel around New Orleans. The location simply can't be beat - only two blocks from Bourbon Street - and yet it was so quiet inside the hotel. Our room was a European Queen, so the […] room and bathroom were both quite tiny, but we were so busy with sightseeing and having a great time that we didn't mind. Our stay was wonderful. We came for the BCS Championship game. We didn't have tickets so we watched on the roof of the hotel with 25-30 fans. Bama won!!!!!! Our stay was enhanced by Rico. He was extremely helpful, answered all our questions, and has a super, positive attitude!!!! We would choose the Omni again and recommend the hotel to anyone. Beautiful […] lobby!!!! Mehr

Like most French Quarter hotels, the rooms are small, but the service, cleanliness, decor, and location are all excellent. The hotel is right across from the police sub-station for the Quarter, so we felt pretty safe coming and going at night. You're only a few blocks from the river, Jackson square, and Canal St.
