Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Leider sind die Zimmer sehr laut. Oben hört man, wenn jemand auf und ab geht. Bei den seitlich angrenzenden Zimmern versteht man sogar jedes Wort, das normal gesprochen wird. Oft wurde versucht, die Verbindungstüre zu öffnen, was sehr stören ist, vor allem nachts, wenn man schläft und nebenan ein neuer Gast einzieht. superb value for area. Restaurants and shopping within easy walk. Residential area to south pleasant walking tour. Great roof top pool and bar. Highly recommend.

The Thompson is a great location, it's a five min walk to Rodeo Drive however not a lot of cheaper places to eat within walking distance. We ordered room service and paid $10US for a small bottle of coke! When we checked in the elevator was broken and we had to climb six flights of stairs to get to our room and eight flights to get to the roof top pool […] and bar. Elevator was still broken the following day. The front desk provided us with free internet and printing of boarding passes however you had to stand at the front desk to use it, no privacy. The concierge managed to get us dinner reservations at an exclusive resturant at late notice which impressed us. The hotel is very chic and modern, I would not reccomend for people with children. The rooms are small but not cramped. The bathroom is well appointed, although we were only provided with one bathrobe in a double room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed staying at the Thompson with my husband and two adult daughters. Funky styling, great rooftop pool with fabulous views, helpful and friendly staff. Just a short stroll to Rodeo Drive. Only downside was being woken by noisy neighbours about 3 in the morning once - the walls didn't seem to be very thick.

Everybody was very efficient and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and had no problems. If I needed assistance or had any questions the staff seemed more than happy to help. The location was perfect because it was within walking distance of delicious restaurants, shops and so many other interesting things.

Hotel is ideally located close to Rodeo Drive. Rooms are clean and beds very comfortable with soft linens. Hotel facilities were starting to show some wear and tear but overall experience was good.

Sketchy and dark. Housekeeping staff does not do a good job. Employees not well trained or motivated to serve. No computers available for convenient guest usage. Too many other good choices in LA

We stayed here because we we're going to a friend's wedding down the street and it was open bar. We figured it would be better safe than sorry. The staff was friendly, room service was tasty and quick. The hotel though was very dated and I felt overpriced for the quality of the room. Sure the location is in Beverly Hills, but we have stayed in much […] nicer places for comparable prices. When you're paying Beverly Hills prices a night you expect some level of quality. The room was small. Smaller than Motel 6 (and we upgraded to the second tier room). The furniture in room had chipped paint and needed an overhaul. One of the cabinets was about an inch out of wack, which drove me crazy the whole time. The TV cords were showing. These are all things I expect to be taken care of considering the price. The bed was comfy so it wasn't all a wash. Also the hallways scared me a little. I felt like I was entering the twilight zone, but not in a good way. Mehr

Spent a weekend trip here. The place was very clean and the rooftop bar and pool were fantastic. Only complaints... speed of elevators and no ice machines. But I have to admit room service was always very quick on my request for ice.

I've stayed at the Thompson five times now, mostly out of convenience for work. They are consistently average and in the past six months show no signs of improving. The hotel is beautiful. Great design, clean, well kept. The staff on the other hand needs work. The front desk is amazing and will do whatever they can to accommodate you. Room service is […] another story. It's always slow, the food is average, they lost my order twice and when it did arrive, it wasn't correct. The roof top staff (minus one or two servers) are some of the rudest people. While the roof top is a great layout and view, you need to realize that you are a bother and inconvenience to them. After this last weekend, I won't be coming back to the Thompson. Convenience no longer wins over poor service. Mehr

My husband and I would highly recomend the Thompson hotel to anyone who is traveling to the US. The hotel as fabulous facilities, including a roof top bar and pool area which is second to none. Staff are excellent also. Overall 10 out of 10

Hotel is nice but there are a few issues that did bother me. 1) Guest of the hotel were bringing non guests to the roof pool and used up all the towels, seats and lounges. I feel that there should be more room for the guests and they should at least cap the total amount of "guests" that the hotel guests can bring to the common area. My wife and I had […] to lay on the floor like dogs while non guests were laughing it up. 2)Very noisy in the room due to hardwood floors. I could not sleep because the noise from upstairs were so loud. Cover the floors in the room with rugs or somethings before you finish your rooms. This hotel is stylish and is situated in a prime location in Beverly Hills. But don't expect luxury. The rooms look good but are less plush than a standard. The view from my room was poor - onto a parking lot. The rooftop pool is a great place to soak up the sun and people watch but sun loungers are limited and when I visited, almost all were reserved […] for non-guests who were visiting for a July 4th party - very poor! A well-equipped gym too. Some parts are showing their age and the elevators were untidy / unclean. Overall, a fairly typical Boutique hotel experience - lots of style over substance. Mehr

Hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Also, the location is great. We walked Rodeo and it is only a short drive to the Beverly Center. The only thing I found disappointing was the size of the single room. It was very small. It was a nice room, just a bit small.

This used to be the Best Western Pavilion, which was renovated, hipp-ed up, and rates more than doubled. I am an old fart and my friends tell me it is too hip for someone like me. Best feature is location near Rodeo Drive. Short walk to Nate 'n Al's. Extra charge for internet and parking, tho - it adds up.

We were greeted at check-in by very friendy hotel staff, they were efficient and accommodating explaining all the services the hotel had to offer. It looked very standard walking into the hotel and going into the lift but once we got out onto our floor we were amazed by the decor. The rooms were fantastic, spacious, very clean, a very modern feel. The […] bathroom was spotless, we have never known a hotel bathroom be somewhere you actually want to spend time in. The bed was very comfortable, again, not something you often encounter on a hotel stay. Highly recommend going up onto the rooftop terrace... not just for the bar and pool but the views alone are brilliant! The internet is chargeable in your room, however if you need to check just a few things online then go down to reception, they have a laptop there which you can use for free. Highly highly recommend going to Mastros Steakhouse round the corner (Canon Drive). This was recommended to us by the porter outside the hotel and he wasn't wrong, the food was out of this world. The service was outstanding, they really look after you and we definitely left feeling very satisfied! Mehr
