From the beginning, the hotel was very confusing to get to. If you don't valet park, there's no direction on where to go. We made it to the parking lot and winded up in the children's hospital. Once we made it to the room, the refrigerator was hiding behind a drawer (didn't find it til the next morning), the internet was $12.99 a day (free was downstairs). […] The indoor pool (which we picked the hotel for our 3 yr old to swim in) was ice cold! Once we decided to eat in the surrounding neighborhood (walking distance), we got hit up by bums and nothing was open. Didn't feel safe at all. I would not stay there again! Mehr

I loved the fast, friendly and free shuttle service!

Everything was perfect the hotel is close to the reliant center and the hotel employees were helpfull. They made a mistake on charging me for a the room twice, but fixed it

It does cost to park your car. Around $15 self park or $21 for valet. Very nice hotel, older with smaller rooms. But the common areas are really nice, upscale and large. The breakfast is VERY worthwile. They are so accomodating, we were a little early and they opened the buffet early for us! Just very kind and the food was plentiful and all very good. […] Really nice visit, highly reccommend. Mehr

nice place. the people there are nice and very helpful. parking was the only issue. 21+tax or pay $10/day i guess its really not an issue if you think about it. overall my stay was great.

Entering and leaving the parking garage was difficult because of the light-rail tracks. Sound-insulation between rooms is not good; I could hear my neighbors' conversations late at night. The room I was given looked nothing like the web-site photo.

service was excellent. condition of room seemed worn. for the price i didn't think it was a good deal. location though made up for it.

Very friendly staff, concierge service very knowledgable. This hotel has a shuttle service to anywhere within a 2 mile radius for free (which is good since you have to pay to park anywhere in that area). Very nice workout facility and pool. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very convenient location if you're going to any surrounding schools or hospitals. […] Lots of places to eat and hang out right across the street and a Starbucks in the lobby. Would highly recommmend! Hotel was in a great location and convient to all the major hospitals and universities of the Houston area. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and always willing to assist! Best hotel I've stayed in the past year. The hotel had a shuttle which made accessing a visit to the school of Public Health easy since it was sow distance from the hotel Shuttle […] staff were very professional and helpful and made catching the shuttle back to the hotel quite easy. Nice place in very good condition overall. Excellent service when the toilet valve failed - fast and efficient repair. Our particular room had a strange intermittent sound, maybe from the ventilation or plumbing system in the ceiling. Other than that, I'd not hesitate to stay here for a medical center-related stay. The room was rather small and plain, and not nearly as nice as I had expected since it was considered to be a "deluxe room" for which we were being charged a premium rate. We had requested a microwave in our room when we made our reservation. It was not there when we arrived, but they did bring one up right away when we called. I would recommend this hotel to the business traveler for sure. Room was excellent as was food served in resturant.

Courteous and well-trained staff. The location is excellent for visits to Texas Medical Center. However, the room was full of noise from the street, the ventilation, and the in-room refrigerator. I requested a room change after the first sleepless night, but the noise level was the same in a room on a different floor facing a different street. There […] must be something causing the building to vibrate and generated the humming noise. Definitely not recommended for people who are sensitive to noise. Mehr

We arrived earlier than check in and the room was ready, so they allowed early check in. which was much appreciated. the room was a non-smoking room but i think it may have been a smoking room in previous years, bc it was very musky. the room was slightly out dated, but the hotel in general was up to date, with a full service star bucks in the lobby […] :) i had surgery our 2nd night there, and since the hotel is actually connected to the hospital the nurse wheeled me right o my room! there are not a lot of restaurants that deliver to this hotel- so late night eating is not possible if you cant drive. room service really was not good, i ordered ceasar salad, and buffalo wings, and 2 Pepsi's ( plus they charged $4 for each can of Pepsi, when there was a Pepsi machine 2 doors down from my room and it would have only been $1.50 each) so even after my surgery we hopped a cab to "Hungry's restaurant" and baskin robins.and it was worth it. just a note. Daily rate parking is $9 ( to be expected in downtown Houston) and there is no in- and out- so keep that in mind- the shuttle is free from the hotel. on the up side the the breakfast was included, and it was not bad. Rose helped us in the restaurant- she was very attentive.- service all around the hotel was excellent. we rented dvds from the red box down the road, and the hotel staff brought us a dvd player that was not included in the room. i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to be at the hospital. and i will stay here again in the future :) Mehr

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Intimately connected to the very large medical center area. Free Shuttle service to area resturants within 2 mile radius was a plus.

If you want to stay in the medical center, this is where to go. It's a great location for the medical center and central to a lot of nice areas. 1 mile walk to rice village, a little longer to hermann park. The hospitals are all right there. The service is good. The valet was expensive for texas but good service. The rooms were fine. Nothing amazing […] but what you expect of a decent hotel. The restaurants had ok food except that I found a long hair in my breakfast burrito (but was on an interview so had to pretend like nothing happened, gross). Price was expensive but if you need to stay in the medical center it's the place to be. Mehr

The hotel was fine, but not worth the money at all. Take advantage of the great staff and free shuttle service (anywhere within a 2 mile radius). Excellent location for hospitals, museums, park & zoo.

Two towels in our room for two people. Old, worn, not very good quality to start with, towels. Parking is inconvenient and expensive for anyone visiting Marriott guests. Wonderful Marriott sheets and pillows.

Me pareció que el Hotel esta un poco descuidado. Me hospedado ahí por los últimos 10 años y creo que la apariencia ha decaído. Lo sentí un poco oscuro y deprimente.
