Wild Palms Hotel, a Joie de Vivre Boutique Hotel - Sunnyvale

Auf unserer Kalifornienreise übernachteten wir 1x in Sunnyyvale, um eine befreundete Familie zu besuchen. Unser Anspruch an der Lage und Umgebung des Motels war deshalb nicht sonderlich groß. Da diese i. R. an stark befahrenen Straßen liegen, wie auch hier, ist Verkehrslärm nicht zu vermeiden. Zumal, wenn man wie wir ein Zimmer zu Straße und nicht zum […] Innenhof "erwischt". Die Anlage wirkt neu renoviert, gepflegt und sauber. Das Zimmer war hinreichend groß und in freundlichen Farben gestrichen. Bis auf das etwas wackelige Bett gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück (Continental) war für kalifornische Verhältnisse erstaunlich reichhaltig. Mehr

I was so pleasantly welcomed by the staff at check-in. The room was beautifully decorated and had all the ammenities to make for a lovely stay. Breakfast was delicious and the sun room where it is located was just splendid. Overall the experience was terrific and the price was quite a bargain for what was expected.

So, so neighborhood,not worth the price as it looks more like a Motel than an hotel. Will most probably never go there again.

It was very nice to enjoy warm pool even if cool weather. Good breakfast, and good performance wifi. But a little noise of wan.

This hotel was pretty convenient overall. Free wiFi is surely appreciated at a time when hotels are typically charging you for anything and everything possible. Only thing I would say is a bit odd was the WAY old tv in the room.

We have stayed here before and thought the rooms were very nice. However, this trip, we seemed to have been put in a room that was not up to par. The TV was not the same as in other rooms and the furniture appeared to be makeshift.

I only stayed here one night, but it was very nice. They have a ppol, a hot tub, a pretty good breakfast, and nice rooms. The lobby is cool--open to the outside. The hotel has a good vibe.

The Wild Palms in sunnyvale is a great hotel. I stayed there because there a a wedding reception down the street that I attended. The location was great and the rooms gave a carribean-vacation vibe. Rooms were very clean and overall it was a great stay! I would definitely stay there again for that price.

nice and clean with a good breakfast. good service.

Good spot. Clean, comfy and decently priced. Only issue is was the fact that the bar was not open during remodeling. But the comp breakfast was good

I requested a dvd player for fitness video, they ran put called another property in am they delivered it with a gift basket full of fitness stuff and a hand written note, that they were sorry for the delay. I was cold, took the blanket from spare bed, next day they gave me an extra blanket while servicing my room, without me asking. Super great sta […] ff. Mehr

This hotel appears to be a refurbished motel with air conditioners hanging outside the walls. All rooms have a door facing the outside. I walked into the room and was surprised to see a space heater on the floor. That didn't affect my stay but at 1 am at least 20 emergency vehicles went by with sirens blazing. The room was so porous you'd think the […] door was open. The best thing I can say is the room was clean and since I was only there for one night, I survived. Fun for a quick get away or work stuff. I used it to hide from some work being done on my apartment. Walls are thin, if someone has a family or your TV is too loud, you will know it. Otherwise, two thumbs up.

good buffet breakfast. poor internet service.

I have stayed here twice and their rooms are so comfy! For both times, early check-ins and late check-outs were not a problem and there was no extra charge. No hidden fees. Loved their breakfast, plenty of fresh fruit around the hotel. A cute place for a little romance without the big price tag.

Not much has changed in the past three years. When they did the decorating some years ago everything had a fresh look to it. Not so much anymore. Still better than someplace like a Days Inn but not that much better. Internet is slow. Breakfast is a couple notches better than continental.

Tech staff was clueless...

I bought this hotel when many others in the area had extremely high rates. Not as updated or fancy as hotels I usually choose, but great in a pinch! Easy access from freeways, easy to check in/out, free breakfast not much to complain about. Rooms are old no doubt, but very charasmatic. New T.V.'s would make this property an easy choice!!

This hotel is perfectly fine, as long as you can sleep on a rather firm mattress with no real padding. If you are used to a pillow-top mattress at home, you may have trouble sleeping here. I stayed four nights (couldn't switch) and finally got a few hours of sleep the last night. Otherwise, it's a nice place.

Had trouble finding log-on page. Had trouble working from rm.

I love this hotel! My business associates and I have stayed here many many times! Reasonably priced rooms, good free breakfast and comfy rooms...a really good choice if you're traveling to SJC for business and need somewhere to relax between meetings.

My room was freezing and the heater was so loud I hated turning it on. No phone calls were possible while heater was running. Hotel key worked incosistently. Breakfast was O.K., but all paper and plastic serving products (not eco friendly). T.V. service was very limited - no lodgement. Phone didn't work. Breakfast was horrible. By the way there was construction on our floor.

Save your money and don't stay in Sunnyvale. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but for the price the room was super small & overpriced. it's probably the neighborhood.

My business associates and I try to book the Wild Palms every time we come to the San Jose area. This hotel is great...although I do wish they would bring back the happy hour/bar.... Beds are great, staff is always nice, centrally located, and free breakfast!

Need to replace heating unit...when it turned on, it was so loud it overpowered the TV sound and we had to turn up the volume. When the unit shut off, we had to turn down the TV. That was annoying. The TV was kind of old. On the plus side, they have good breakfast selections, which is included in the room charge.

Very nice room. Clean, comfortable and good service. Free internet. Definitley would stay again.

Very nice/helpful staff. One of the older hotels along El Camino. Close to Apple and HP. Weak wi-fi signal and Pub is closed.
