Hatten keine Ameisen, haben aber auch darauf geachtet keine Lebensmittel draussen zu lassen. Geckos waren vor dem Zimmer, nicht drinnen und die Klimaanlage hat funktioniert. Hat alles gut gepasst. Immer wieder gern!

We did not spend much time in our hotel since there was so much to do in Cairns and the surrounding area but our time we did spend there was decent. We had no complaints about our room or the service we received. We were actually impressed with the helpfulness of the staff at the front desk when there was confusion with a booking made off-site. The older male receptionist was very friendly and helpful. He gave us maps and recommendations. The cleaning was good. The superior rooms is recommended since they are located in the nicest area of the hotel by the nicest of two swimming pools. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the lagoon wich is the pool down at the beach, just above it is the esplanade […] with lots of restaurants. Mehr

Reasonable price with a comfort room. A bit far away from city center ( around 10 mins walk) . And just one , staff didn't change towel for us. All other are good

A bit outside the very center but still OK location. Several bugs in the room though and you could not close the window in the bathroom so in order to keep the room cool you had to close the bathroom door. Stains on the towels and yellow stains on the shower curtain! The hotel is OK, the room was big with one smaller bed and one king size but If I return […] to Cairns, I will look for another option. Really worth a stay for anyone interested in saving some money

-20 minutes from the esplanade so you don´t just pop out many times during the day - room was very small but clean. Bathroom was also in good condition. - very odd aquarium like large window next to bed forced me to keep curtains closed all times. Other guests had straight visibility into my bed. - lack of breakfast did not bother - good cafeterias […] nearby. - air condition is needed but there´s only on and off switch, no change to adjust - sounds from the other rooms were quite loud Mehr

My wife and I stayed 8 nights starting from New Years. We arrived and were up graded from the normal room to a superior room for no extra cost. The pool was lovely to swim in every day. The room was clean, cheap and comfortable. It is about a 10 min walk into town which we enjoyed doing everyday. I would stay here again

Great location, close to the CBD, a few blocks away. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff. I'd stay there again!

i thought being so cheap it would be very dodgy but it was a lovely hotel with great upkeep and fantastic staff! Will stay again! Thanks

friendly staff n comfortable room....but it took about 15 minutes to city centre. ...overall is a goodn pleasant place to stayed during my 5 days trip in cairns.would recommended to friends n family.

Hotel is located just 3 minutes from the Cairns Private Hospital and walking distance to centre of the town. Room was clean and sufficient for having a good night sleep. Friendly staff. Food at the Vietnamese restaurant needs improvement. The scallops were bland and dry not succulent. You tasted the green onions not the lemon grass in the lemon grass […] chicken dish. Mehr

at least 20mins walk to city center!!! remember to ask this hotel for the airport transportation, better deal than taxi

This hotel is quite near of everything you need and if you do not mind walking a few blocks under the sun of beatiful Cairns, then this hotel is great for its value. One thing worth mentioning is that the pictures posted are a little bit deceiving, but still the hotel is just fine is you need a place to crash, a clean bed and towels and a hot shower. […] There is a small laundry room which is operated with coins and in the reception you can buy the detergent, which was very convenient for us because after so many days in Australia, we were running out of clean clothes! Also, the staff was VERY friendly and knowledgeable about the excursions and stuff we could do. They even took care of a few reservations of things WE chose, and they did all that for free! The Good: The gentleman at check-in gave us an excellent map and overview of where to find what we needed in Cairns and I found him to be delightful. The rooms were spacious and clean and the air conditioning worked quietly, the laundry room was available and detergent was sold at the front office. The bed was very comfortable. The Bad: I didn't find […] anything to dislike about our experience. Conclusion: If you want to be in the heart of the Cairns party district, this isn't it. If you want a good night's sleep in exchange for being a handful of blocks away from downtown, this is great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and if I am ever in Cairns again I will be happy to stay there again. Mehr

we did put the sign to ask them to make up the room by the time we come back the room was clean but the old tower still there did not replace new one

Discovery Cairns was and is a well priced, well located and well maintained motel. It has an added bonus of having a in-situ Vietnamese restaurant attached to it. The people who run this are very hard working and accommodating, plus the food was/is delicious! the front desk people of Discovery Cairns are friendly and helpful. all you need in a budget hotel

great and clean place we got upgraded to the bigger room and it is quite big for 2 adults and 1 baby. 3 blocks from city center (10 minute walk) i will return for this price next time.

My room for first 5 night stay here was very good. Bed not comfortable for my back though. Well serviced each day. Had all I needed in it. Quiet and private. I had a different room for the 3 nights on my return from break away and this room didn't have air conditioning or microwave which I missed. Also a noisier situation. All in all I was happy enough. […] Staff very friendly and helpful. Would have preferred to be closer to CBD as didn't feel comfortable walking back at night on my own. Mehr

This hotel was well located to the city centre, was only a 15 min walk, The reception staff were very helpful,the restaurant attached to the hotel was excellant all food was freshly prepared and very reasonably priced. If going to Cairnes again I would stay at the Discovery

would be better off getting a last minute deal closer to heart of cairns

The Hotel is Basic, but very clean and great for the Price. The Staff are amazing and so helpful. I have to Say Martain was amazing so Freindly and up for a quick chat! he made it a pleasure to stay here.

the discovery cairns is a nice place to stay, especially for the price they charge. a great value for the money. i was on a trip to cairns just for fun to do some sightseeing. it is close enough to walk to all the attractions and/or bus stops, but far enough from the main traffic areas to make it a little quieter than other hotels may be. there were […] some hotels available closer to the bay, but they were very expensive. everyone working at the discovery was helpful and friendly. we had a great time. The room did not really have enough space to put out luggage. The part I found most interesting is that it was entirely impossible to completely cover the bathroom window which faced another hotel, so it is quite possible the tenants of the upstairs rooms of the hotel across the parking lot had a revealing view.

凯恩斯市很小 所有商店都集中在市中心 酒店步行过去需要15分钟 离港口20多分钟 房间暗 设施和服务都很一般 没什么优势

Greit hotell, fine rom og rolig strøk. Ca.20min gange til sentrum.

朝９時頃に荷物を預かって貰おうと訪ねたが、部屋が空いていてチェックイン出来た。受付担当者は親切でツアー予約も出来る。部屋は豪華ではないが広く清潔で必要な物はそろっており快適だった。朝食、ベトナム料理の夕食も食堂でとれる。町の中心地まで徒歩１５分、多くのレストランが集まる地域まで１０分。１１０、１１１のバスが近くを通り、ケアンズ駅から＄２．２。もっと町の中心に近いホテルもあるが、Ｄｉｓｃｏｖｅｒｙ　Cairnsは宿泊費が安くコストパーフォーマンスが良い。もっと遠いホテルに泊まっていた人にも会ったが、徒歩で中心街に行くにはこのホテル近郊が限度。

Vänligt och hjälpsam personal. De bokade alla utflykter till oss med bra pris och innehåll. Tyst och bekväm hotell som man kunde sova gott! Bara tio minuter promenad till lagunen.

I had a pleasant stay at the discovery. For some reason, when we got there, there were no standard rooms even though we had booked from this site but we received a free upgrade which was quite nice. The room was Ok, queen sized bed, lcd tv, small fridge. It is ok for the price.

お値段安い割にきれいでした。ドアと壁が全面ガラス張りで外の山が見えたりして良かったです。　ガラス張りって新鮮でした。もちろんカーテン引けます。 2人で泊ったら一人はソファーベットでした。プールは小さいです。 ケアンズなので掃除はそれほど行き届いてないです。値段を考えると妥当かなと思います。 キッチン付きで長期滞在するのはいいかもなーと思いました。
