Red Roof Inn Houston - IAH Airport - Houston

Das Hotel ist nicht mehr das neuste aber sehr sauber. Die Lage 5 Minuten vom Flughafen ist optimal, wenn mann einen frühen Flug hat. Einziges was ich bemängeln muss ist das Wlan. Das war sehr langsam und glich einen Modem.

Hotel is situated close to the airport, a free shuttle to the airport is provided and works great. From downtown Houston well connected by public transport (bus route 102). The wifi connection is very slow in the room but works good in the lobby, additional desk top computers available...food shops right behind the hotel, big plus !!

I had several appointments with my son at MD Anderson, however with a convention (several) in town this was THE only hotel with an available room. I have never stayed farther then 5 miles from MDA. This was a bit of a drive, but it was a pleasant drive. Although we are moving to Hawaii and won't be returning to MDA, I would not hesitate staying at this […] hotel again. The staff was extremely pleasant and the rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was standard, however, we brought our own things to prepare (yogurt, fruit, etc). The facility has open tables, microwave, and counter space in which we used to prep our salads for dinner the night we arrived as well as the microwave to warm up our main dish. We did not use the pool so I can't comment on anything other then it looking very inviting. I did notice there was a hotel shuttle for the airport as the hotel is on the main strip leaving the airport. There are several hotels up and down the main drag as well as fast food chains and gas stations. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the hotel and surrounding area was. For the price it was a nice hotel. The room was very minimal and a bit small but it was good for sleeping which was all we needed it for. The front desk lady was awesome and printed directions for any place I asked about. Waffles at breakfast were great and shaped like Texas which made my son excited. Overall we were quite satisfied.

Local Management decisions sucked because it was obviousness the were being cheap about everything they provided to their guest. Front desk staff were selfish, management gave us toilet paper so thin, you have to use triple the amount. Breakfast was cheap, cleanliness was ok. We were very comfortable staying at Red Roof Inn. It was for just one night, before we continued on to our final destination. We were very comfortable, the room was clean and I loved the free Wi-Fi! There was a coffee maker, ironing board and iron, a clock radio and, of course a TV .The hotel was close to the Houston airport, and we didn't have to wait […] long for the shuttle. I called the hotel, told them we were waiting, and they were there in no time. The girls at the front desk were super nice and so was the shuttle driver. Our stay was NOT good!! Well, the first room we were in smelled really bad. The second room we had smelled somewhat and there was hair in the bed!! Obviously, the sheets had not been changed after the last person stayed in the room. The third room we were in didn't smell but the toilet was stopped up. The staff as helpful and friendly. The room was on the small side, but neat and clean. The bed was confortable. Convenient to the airport. No complaints. A good deal for the price, especially for a one-nighter.

Hotel location good at airport exit, cheap prices, free internet, ok breakfast, I took shower came out of bathroom found bug crawling across sheets, wrapped bug in towel took to front desk, they said they would look into it, stil had one night left at hotel asked to be moved said they were fully booked but would put me another room after someone checked […] out, came back to hotel at 7pm that day, they had not changed room, when asked to be changed receptionist said there was no note about bug issue, she put me in room next to washing machine room and directly above hotel air conditioning units, No apologies about bug, manager had told me when I brought the bug to them, they have dogs that stay in that part of hotel so thats how that happened, but still treated me like I was the bug, no more cheapy hotels for me, this was the first and last time at red roof inns. I needed to fly in overnight, last minute, and this was the last hotel available in Houston, despite it's close proximity to the airport. They were kind enough to pick me up from the airport at 11:30pm, and the shuttle service was on time. The room was clean, but between amenities and other guests, I will not be returning. Part of the reason why I chose this hotel was the complementary shuttle service to and from the airport. When I arrived at IAH I called and the desk clerk said she would notify the shuttle driver to pick me up. After waiting for twenty-five minutes, I called the hotel again and she apologized and said he was on his way, and then asked me again what […] terminal I was at. After another fifteen minutes and a no-show, I flagged a taxi and called the hotel, but no response. When I arrived at the hotel, the shuttle was sitting in the parking lot. I informed the hotel at time of booking of my flight arrival & the shuttle was waiting. Hotel about 10 minutes from the airport & well situated. Small mall with food outlets nextdoor. Free shuttle every 30 minutes to airport, just prebook.

The room was fine for one person. But I hardly got any sleep because I was so cold. I adjusted the cooling system, but with only a very light cover on the bed, sleeping for me was difficult. I even put the extra pillows over me to try and get warm. I was asked the night before what time I needed the shuttle service and I told them 10:30. The next morning […] I came down at 10:15 and was told I should have been on the 10:00 shuttle as they only go on the hour. Now I would have to wait until 11:00. No one told me the night before, so I assumed 10:30 was okay. But they did accomodate me in the morning and had the driver take me as soon as he got back. So no problem in the end. This place is close to the airport. It has a comfy bed. The water that comes out of fosit might be slightly dirty. Nice TV in room. Place just seems warm and staff is friendly. Just one person wasn't so much, but she wasn't rude she was just blah. Like she didn't care much for her job. The breakfast was ok. Waffles were bomb so so good. But the OJ was […] watered down and so was the coffee. I'm a big coffee person. I wish they would change the machine there and just make fresh everyday. After all it was good for a quick stay. The hotel accomodations were fine, what is expected from a hotel by the airport. The service on the other hand was terrible. We booked this hotel specifically because it offered a free shuttle service from the airport. We called when we landed, and were told it would be 15-20 minutes. When we arrived at the shuttle pick up area we saw our shuttle driving […] off. We immediatly called the hotel, who told us the driver was leaving the airport and would not turn around. Apparently the amount of time it took for us to get off our plane and walk to the shuttle pick up was too long to wait. The luggage had not even made it to the baggage carousel. We had to pay $16 plus tip for a cab. I would not stay here if you are relying on the airport shuttle. Mehr

The hotel is located close to the airport and is clean. Get a room half way down the hotel or on the side closer to the airport. At the end of the hotel on the side farthest from the hotel is next to a saloon and the patrons are very noisy. Good value for the price.

I stayed just one night because I had a 10 hour layover and needed an inexpensive place near the airport to sleep a few hours. I was not expecting much for that rate but I was very surprised to find that it was really nice. The shuttle driver was prompt and super nice, as was the front desk staff. Also the room was pretty. Modern, clean and comfortable! […] The only complaint I have is that the carpet in the hallway has seen better days, it was dingy and stained which had me worried on my way to the room, but as soon as I opened the door to the room I was very pleased. This hotel is great! Grear with shuttle service, the guy took a while to get to me but no rush there was much confusion with where i was suppose to be picked up. Still the service was an A+. My room was clean. Those southern people are also the best myself being one.... Keep up the wonderful work.

We needed a room quick due to a cancelled flight. It has a great free shuttle to & from the airport, which was convenient. The airport continental breakfast was good too. Stay here without hesitation!
