Das Bristol Hotel ist vom Hauptbahnhof gut zu Fuß zu verreichen. Das Zimmer war angemessen ausgestattet. Das Bad war absolut sauber und sah wie frisch gefliest aus. Dickes Lob. Außerdem gab es an der Rezeption ein Netzwerkkabel für einen kostenlosen Internetanschluss. Besser wäre es gewesen, dies über WLAN zu ermöglichen. Die Übernachtung vom 6. zum 7.5. 2011 war wunderbar. Das Zimmer war ruhig, vom Bahnhof schnell erreichbar und in der Innenstadt. Der Service bei der Ankunft und Abfahrt und am Frühstücksbuffet war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber.

für einen Städtetrip liegt das Hotel optima. Service und Personal sehr gut. Nur war die Matraze im Bett sehr durchgelegen, sodass der Rücken nach drei Tagen schon sehr geschmerzt hat! Ansonsten alles tiptop

Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis sehr gut für ein Hotel im Zentrum von Zürich

das Hotel liegt in Fußnähe zum Bahnhof und zum Zentrum, die Zimmer sind sauber und bequem , das Frühstück in Ordnung, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für Zürich.,

Insgesamt durchaus empfehlenswert. Sehr sauber, top Lage (5min zum BHF). Von aussen her sehr ruhig. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: Man hört die Zimmernachbarn sehr gut.

Kurze Erreichbarkeit von Bhf, Autobahn und Stadtzentrum. Abends genügend Parkplätze rund ums Haus.

Great location, friendly and helpful personal. They just have a bit a problem with the soundproofing within the hotel. From the street you hear nothing, very calm. But if someone is talking in the hallway or the room next to yours get cleaned you hear everything like it happens in your room. To sleep longer on Saturday morning is not possible in this […] hotel. Great staff, very cordial. Breakfast was ok but not great. Excellent location. Lacked some amenities like a room safe and air conditioning. Very clean.

Like all things Swiss it is pricey. And location is what it serves up chiefly although the room was airy and bright. The surroundings are so-so. There is an Indian restaurant just outside the hotel to the left. Swiss prices! There is no fridge or coffee service in the room (although they make up by giving you hot water in a flask if you ask. But you […] have to collect it from the reception!). The front desk is friendly though and gave us a room although we came in at 9 AM as we came by an overnight train from Vienna. Hotel Bristol is mostly about location. Actually a 5 min walk from Zurich Hauptbanhof (HB). After getting off the train keep to your left till you come to the road (Museumstrasse) in front of the Swiss National Museum outside HB. Keep on the footpath and cross the bridge (Walchebrucke). Keep straight ahead and cross the road and tram lines. You will come to few steps beside a large shopping area (5-10 steps) which lead straight on to Stampfenbachstrasse. The location was only 5 or so minutes from the Hauptbanhof (train station). There was easy access to the trams and near the Limmat River. Hotel comfortable and adequate amenities with plentiful breakfast choices included in room price. Reception and staff very friendly and helpful. The room was sparse but comfortable for a short stay.

Ideal central location - great for the train station and the city. Our four person room was very spacious, well laid out and quiet. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. We would certainly stay there again.

Hotel was not that near to train station. Breakfast could be healthier by offering more vegetables/fruits

Being from the U.S. and only spending 2 full days in Zurich, this hotel was perfect for me. I took the train from the airport into the City and easily found my way to the hotel from the train station on foot without using any GPS. Contrary to other reviews, it was very easy to find. Just be smart. Beds are small, the sheets are a little sketchy but […] other than that everything was perfect. Really clean room and bathroom, warm shower, fast free internet, and a desk & closet in my room. I couldn't adjust the temperature in my room, so that was kinda a bummer, but it didn't really bother me. Plenty of outlets in the room, a nice tv with some great Soccer/Futbol matches on it. I also enjoyed the breakfast they offered. Plenty to choose from, and a clean environment to eat in. I'd highly recommend this hotel to others staying in the area, especially if it were small groups of people traveling. The price was comparable to any US hotel a night, so it wasn't breaking the bank considering I was staying in the most expensive city to live in, in the whole world. Aside from the hotel, Zurich was absolutely incredible, most beautiful city I've ever been to. The city is like cleaner and way better version of San Francisco haha. You can get anywhere you want on foot or by Tram and food and free wifi isn't hard to come (you just have to suck it up and get starbucks somewhere haha). Be prepared for cold weather pending what season you're traveling there though. Also the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and all spoke very well English. All in all, between my stay at the hotel and Zurich itself, I hope to be back in the city and I would happily stay at the same hotel again. Mehr

The location of this hotel near the train station is wonderful. the neighborhood offers easy access to dining and shopping. The hotel is clean, but the rooms are small and a 2-person bed is two singles pushed together.

Excellent location. Walking distance from train station and old Zurich. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Overall great value.

Stayed one night to recuperate from the flight from US and do some Zurich sightseeing. The hotel is very conveniently located near train station and old town/shopping district. The hotel itself may need some facelift but the room was clean and the service was great. A very good value for the money given overall exorbitant Zurich hotel prices.

Good location close to the main station and within walking distance of the Europcar so we could return our hire car and then catch the train to Milan. Room was spartan but was clean and comfortable, more like a hostel than a hotel but it was the location and price that made this attractive for us. Buffet breakfast was fair, nothing spectacular, basically […] cold which was not good for a cold winters day start. The reception was a one man show effective but not really welcoming. We always travel with tea coffee and soup and two plastic cups as most rooms don't always supply these facilities. The reception were able to give us a insulated jug of hot water which we were able to renew when needed. Reception has free coffee and tea and the hotel has free wi-fi . Mehr

Not worth the price.

Great hotel location in Zurich---10 minute walk from main train station. Surrounded by great restaurants. Fair value---still expensive (it's Zurich). No bar or restaurant in hotel. You don't need one though as ones are nearby.

Conveniently placed hotel within walking distance to the stataion and main shopping street. There is a tram stop very close by. A very good buffet breakfast is included in the price. The larger rooms have a balcony with table and chairs. It is walking distance to the Old Town and there are restaurants next door to the hotel. Staff are very friendly […] and helpful. The Zurich Bristol is recently renovated, clean, and very conveniently located near the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The rooms are clean, neat, and generally comfortable. The bathroom is clean and had LOTS of water pressure (although a very small shower, like most European hotels.) We were on the 1st floor, so there was quite a bit of street noise, […] but they had electric hurricane style shutters on the window that kept most of the noise out when closed. The breakfast wasn't great, but was adequate. Hotel staff was friendly and attentive as needed. My only real complaint was that the mattresses were pretty low quality (felt springs jabbing me at times). I would definitely stay again for the price/cleanliness/location package. Mehr

It is very close to the train station --5 -10 minutes walking. The hotel room is quite small but it is ok for two adults with 2 small bed. Hotel provides free internet. Room is clean. breakfast is included and nice.

The room is clean and receptionist is nice. Receptionist politely told us to search the internet for information about Zurich.The furniture is basic. Should have brightly colored bedsheets and curtains. Could have some decorations on the wall. It makes people happy.

My room was available early which made the whole day go better. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to the main train station and an easy walk to the old section of the city. Breakfast was good enough

If you want to stay close to the main train station, Bristol is definitely the one you must consider. I would not say this is a fancy hotel, but it's comfortable, friendly and located in the central area of Zurich. I was satisfied with my choice.

Nice hotel, great location! 5 min from the Tain Station, plenty of bistros and restaurants in the area, a short walk to the center. Walls a bit too thin for a quiet sleep, but otherwise very comfortable. The selection for breakfast was alright but basic. The staff was very friendly! Not a 5-star, but definitely clean, very convenient to the train station, and very convenient to old town. It's all right there. This is your usual small room for a European hotel, but what do you really need? The reason you're in Europe is to see the sights, not lounge in a hotel room. Front desk helpful and quite friendly. Hotel was very conveniently located near the train station. Also, we were able to get a shuttle bus to airport at the hotel. Room had a nice balcony and plenty of room.

The room we had was evidently recently renovated (it looked new in fact) and had two comfortable beds. The service was very good: we received an extra pillow upon request; a cable for the free high-speed wired internet was provided; a small selection of beer and wine is conveniently available for purchase at the main desk for reasonable rates (almost […] what you pay at a kiosk) and a tray and some glasses will be provided to boot. Breakfast was included and was of average (i.e., OK) quality. The location, within 100 meters of the train station, is excellent. We stayed on floor 1 and it was a little noisy with the windows open; would recommend to ask for a higher floor provided the room is as nice. Mehr

We stayed in a family room for 2 nights with our 2 children. The room was very comfortable, large and clean. the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great. We would definitely stay again.

we stayed for one night en route by train to Venice via the Gotthard Pass route to Milan. The Hotel was very clean, nearby and friendly. Our corner room on the 2nd floor was great.
