"It looks more than it actually is..."
Standard Rooms in desperate need for renovation: wallpaper peeling off, furniture very old, bathroom very dirty and bath panel was broken, paint peeling of the balcony and outside walls, and, not to mention the lack of insulation/thickness on the walls, which makes possible to hear everything that's going on next door to you. Late hours Menu very limited. If […] you want to have a better stay, always go for the family or superior rooms on the top floor, facing the woods. They are much more comfortable and quieter. Most of the staff is very helpful; spa and steam room are not too bad. Mehr
"Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel Killiney"
Beautiful location. Most convenient for the purpose our our stay. Helpfulness of the staff was the most outstanding feature of our stay. Only disappointment was that we had requested a front room but did not get one. At least he one we had did not overlook the deliveries area. Hope we can get to stay there again.
"Wonderful stay"
Simply said, I had a great time here. The staff constantly went out of its way to be helpful and friendly. I felt like part if the family coming to visit. After the first night I thought the bed a tad too firm, easily fixed with an extra feather duvet, and I slept wonderfully afterwards. The food in both the Library, tea and snacks, and the Dungeon […] was deliciously prepared and the perfect amount. On the weekends the live music, is not just great to hear but enlivened the people to sing and even dance. I cannot say enough about this stay to convey the great time I had. I thank you Fitzpatrick for helping to make my time in Ireland that much more enjoyable. Mehr

"Fairy Tale Hotel"
If you ever dreamed of spending the night in a castle, being treated like royalty, I highly recommend The Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. All the members of the staff are so eager to please!! I arrived hours before check-in time, and they allowed me to check in early. I had looked forward to eating in the Dungeon, and the food was beyond belief! My meal included […] the best Caesar salad in the world! My room was elegant and comfortable with a great view, and I had a magnificent nights' sleep. The hotel is in an historic old building, which is part of its' charm, but is equipped with the latest amenities, including a kick-butt fitness center and sparkling pool. I will always remember my night in the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel! Someday I hope to go back! Mehr
"The Fitzpatrick castle hotel. Lovely quiet stay"
Hotel was lovely. Staff were friendly and the steak in the dungeon restaurant was amazing. Very posh hotel but in a lovely secluded area. Off season(winter) not much to do in surrounding areas but beautiful, scenic and perfect for a quiet, short getaway. Only thing is breakfast isn't worth the €12per person. For that price we wandered into dalkey the […] second day to a cafe. Same price and something different. Mehr

"Killiney Castle"
A little too American for my liking, but cultural sell-out ignored, an otherwise pleasant experience.
"Was dissapointed with initial very nice outside"
We stayed in this hotel for a wedding and I was very disappointed with the front desk servce , the woman did not appear friendly or helpful at all. The grounds and main areas of hotel were nice but the room we were given was of a very low standard. The bathroom was old and pieces of wood were chipped, there was damp in two places in the room , the wallpaper […] was falling of the wall in parts & there were cobwebs up high in the ceiling. The bed was nice and comfortable and tv nice but was very disappointed ..more a 2 star room with 4 star outside. Would not be ever coming back to this hotel again. We were a young couple. Mehr
"Dissapointed with Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel"
While I didn't expect Windsor castle, I didn't expect this either. The entrance has worn, dirty carpeting, the room's carpets also looked dirty. The wallpaper edges were peeling. The bathroom fixtures were awkward and the bedroom furniture looked beat. My shower was luke warm at best and the shower in my son's room was blistering hot. The grounds were […] beautiful and the staff was professional. If you have a car the location was nice and fairly close to Dublin Mehr
from our arrival at the fitzpatrick castle to our departure service was excellent and friendly; everything was done to anticipate our individual needs from transporting our luggage to directing us to local attractions. a complete fitness centre with pool, suana and steam room was at our disosal as a guest. some of the best coffee in ireland as we've […] found some times it is very weak to sum up all I can say is we would return again. Mehr
"Fitzpatricks Castle Hotel, Killiney, Dublin"
Gorgeous hotel with very comfortable and clean rooms. Staff were very nice to deal with. I would love to make a return visit.
"Fabulous hotel fabulous staff"
This hotel is lovely we liked everything about it. The staff were great food fabulous and facilities were second to none. There were some elements that could do with a bit of a touch up but nothing major. we are going back to Dublin just to stay here again!
"Killiney Castle"
I stayed here for a week with my teenage children and was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very comfortable and all the staff friendly and attentive. I really felt we received personal service rather than the impression of being processed and anonymous I have had in other hotels. The swimming pool is a great asset and the gardens lovely. The […] breakfast was excellent. We'll be back! Mehr
rooms were nice very , food was good, close to the railstation but wouldn't want to walk as it is up hill all the way back and very steep hill at that. Hotel was hard to find initally, as GPS didn't pick up name and there is no street address. So make sure to get good directions. Town is very nice and train will take you to the center of Dublin in about […] 30 min. I would stay here again Mehr
"The good, the bad, and the ugly..."
We attended a wedding this past weekend at the Fitzpatrick which was fantastic. The food, service, etc. were exceptional and I strongly recommend hosting an event at this location. Further, afternoon tea upon arrival was delightful!! However, we were very disappointed with the accommodations (only the room - the hotel in general is brilliant). We stayed […] in a standard room which may have been the issue; it was unpleasant at best. In fact, we shortened our stay by one night to head back to Dublin. The room tempurature was very hot / humid and there are no airconditioning units. No fans were available either. The bathroom was outdated and a dingy. Bottomline, not what we expected for an award winning hotel. If you are going to stay at the Fitzpatrick in the summer months, dig deep in your pockets to pay for a room upgrade and ask for a fan at check-in. Mehr
"Staying at Fitpatrick's in Killiney"
The hotel is in an excellent location which is generally why we stay there. The price is excellent as well but there are better choices locally (Royal Marine Hotel) if the prices were to increase. The room was fine although at the back of the building where delivery trucks frequented. The decor needs a bit of updating although the beds and furniture […] are good. They need to replace the dated floral curtains and rugs however. The shower curtain was moldy! The hotel staff in the lobby was good but the cleaning staff consistently inconsiderate (opening door early in morning to clean without knocking and then not apologising or leaving quickly when they entered and found us there). They did not seem to speak any english. Some of my good lingerie also went missing in this hotel on one or two occasions. Think having more Irish on staff in the hotel would be more advantegous as its a traditional irish hotel and the staff could be friendlier. Love the vibe in the lobby as a lot of elderly and locals visit for tea etc. Food was good and the Dungeon Bar/restaurant surprisingly nice. Mehr
"Perfectly nice"
Was a perfectly nice hotel just outside of Dublin... was clean, the staff friendly, and the restaurant served good food. All I want in a hotel stay after a long plane ride and sight seeing all day!
"Old World Jewel"
The Fitzpatrick was a jewel in this small seaside community of Killiney/Dalkay area. The staff is extremely helpful. Even with a GPS, you may have difficulty finding the hotel.
"Nice hotel but hidden away"
The Fitzpatrick is a very beautiful hotel with numerous amenities. Rooms are clean and elegant. We enjoyed the meals we ate there. The only negative is it is a little off the beaten path and takes some time to get to. All in all a very pleasant experience.
"Wonderful Hotel"
My two sons and I really enjoyed our stay in this elegant hotel. The only drawback for two teenagers was the fact that it was not right in Dublin--it's quite a hike to and from the Dart station and we were limited in how late we could stay in the city by the time of the last train. Also, we had a DVD mysteriously disappear from inside the case when […] we were gone for the day. We never used the DVD because we had nothing to play it on so someone must have taken it. We reported it to the desk and they were concerned but unable to really do anything about it. Mehr
"A beautiful hotel outside the chaos of Dublin."
This hotel was beautiful! Large comfortable bed, great gym, delicious food...about 15 minutes from Dublin by car, but worth it. There's also a train that will take you straight into Dublin for cheap only a 10 minute walk away in Dalkey.
"Dart"
a very long walk to the Dart station, not as close as review implied.
"What a great place!"
The Fitzpatrick Castle is great. Dalkey is a great place to stay when visiting Dublin. Close enough to hop on the train, but away from the hustle. Great hiking right around the castle. Great staff also. I would love to stay here again.
"not impressed"
Rooms did not live up to those depicted in brochure. Decor was dated and was badly in need of refurbishment. Staff were friendy but food and drink was expensive. Hotel is quite remote and there is not much in Dalkey or Killeney.
"Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel KIlliney, Ireland a "10"!"
My 15 year old daughter and I travelled to Ireland for the first time and were very satisfied with the Fitzpatrick. It is not that close to Dublin, but a 10 minute walk into the quaint town of Dalkey will get you to the train that goes to Dublin in about 30 minutes. It was a little extra walking (we did not rent a car) but the area is absolutely beautiful. […] We saw a another area of Ireland that was worth seeing. Killiney Hill Park (turn left outside the gate) was amazing with stunning views of the sea when you get to the top. Definitley worth the walk. We also took the Wild Wicklow tour that picked us up right at the hotel. It was a very pleasant tour with a knowledgable and fun guide. Walk down to the harbor in Dalkey and be delighted by the seals feeding in the late afternoon. Dalkey is an interesting town with a castle and tour close to the hotel. There's even a Starbuck's in town! The staff at the Firtzpatrick was very accomodating and took care of any problems immediately. They gave us a room with an even better view when our phone was not working properly. Also, on our last night there, the room next to us had some late night partiers. I called the front desk to ask them to quiet them down, which they did. In the morning I found a letter of apology from the staff, offering us a complimentary Sunday brunch for the inconvience - very class act. Make sure to get the Patton Flyer bus to the Dublin airport to go home. We took a taxi down the hill to the bus stop. It is a very pleasant ride to stops along the way to the airport. I give the Fitzpatrick a "10"! Mehr
"Third stay in Fitzpatrick's"
This was our third stay in Fitzpatrick's and we intend making it an annual treat if we can. The hotel has a lovely family friendly ambience with staff who always have time for a little chat while at the same time providing a prompt and professional service. The hotel restaurant is excellent; the pool is a big favourite with our children and the bedrooms […] are clean tidy and well appointed. The hotel is well connected to Dublin city centre - the Dart service is a very pleasant 10-15 mins walk from the hotel and will have you in the city centre in 25 mins. The setting is very attractive with Killiney Hill and the lovely streets leading to Dalkey village offerring breathtaking walks and views. Loads of options for sight seeing and dining out in the village. Dundrum shopping centre very close and the hotel is within easy reach of all parts from the M50. Throughly recommend this hotel. Mehr
"A Fairytale Castle In A Fantistic Setting"
I came to the 'Killiney Castle' as a return to Dublin after 25 years away - I was not disappointed - there is a nostalgic quaintness about this place which evokes memories of good old fashioned service with the charm that is Ireland. Chicken Soup For The Soul!
"FITZPATRICK CASTLE DUBLIN"

"Rigtig dejligt hotel og fantastisk beliggenhed"
Fint hotel med en rigtig dejlig beliggenhed, men en skam at ikke alle værelser har udsigt. Det er godt brugt, men rent og pænt. Dog kommer der ikke meget vand ud af vandhanerne, så det er svært at tage bad.
Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Il faudrait cependant améliorer la qualité d'accès à internet.
"Impressive"
My wife and I spend our honeymoon on Fitzpatrick hotel. We were not dissapointed. Our stay was a pleasent one, and we had ourselves three lovely days in Dublin. It`s location, some 40 minutes by dart outside the city centre, suited us perfectly. Away from the noisy town centre, and just minutes away from small villages like Dalkey and the lovely coastal […] town of Bray. Recommended. Mehr
