The Westin Convention Center Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh

We stayed at the Westin to visit my daughter @ Pitt and to see the Phillies. What an excellent choice.The hotel is amazing and the staff couldn't do enough. We were able to walk to PNC Park & shops. It was an easy, short drive to Pitt. The pool & hot tub were very well maintained and very enjoyable. We even got to see some of the Phillies players while […] we were there. Really enjoyed this hotel. Everything about it was a joy.

I got what I requested, high floor (25th). The view was great day and night. As luck would have it, there was fantastic post game fireworks during our stay. Kids had a blast. Clean room, comfortable beds, good in-room coffee/tea. I am impressed by the lap pool on the 4th floor, I wish more hotels were like that.

Very nice hotel, centrally located. Problem is parking is very expensive. Each time you go out it $7.00. Otherwise very nice place

The hotel is very nice and in a great location. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with the exception of the noise level. I could clearly hear conversations from the next room. This was not yelling...just regular conversations. The toilet sounded like a plane taking off for a landing with every flush. A very helpful staff and great room. Very convenient parking below the hotel. Also very close to several sites with easy access to taxis or other public transportation.

While visiting the city and attending the Jay Z concert, our stay was very relaxing and the staff was very accommadating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone else.

the room we reserved was not the room we were offered. We ended up overlooking the roof top and the amenities we though we were getting were not available. the room was way over priced as was the cost of the room service. Any future trips to Pittsburg we will not be staying at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone.

Hotel was in a good location and clean...Room had a little problem with the ac getting cool...Don't order milk from room service unless u want to pay 6.50 for a pint for your little one..there's a quicky mart across the street that sells 1 gallon for 4.00.....other than that decent place to stay.

The hotel was in a very convenient location for the Convention Center (right across the street). It is within walking distance to The Strip, The Heinz History Museum and the Cultural District, as well as a short walk across the river on one of the nearby bridges to the Andy Warhol Museum. The hotel itself was clean, but we did find a pair of rolled-up […] man's socks in the corner on the floor when we checked in. The entire hotel looks a little worn. It at least needs new carpets throughout, if not a total renovation. Our main complaint was that the restaurants in the hotel are ridiculously expensive. We stayed on a weekend, and the pizzeria and coffee shop (which are in a side wing adjacent to an attached office building) were not open. We ended up going to dinner across the street at a bar for two nights. We couldn't get a sit down breakfast anywhere in the area (we tried to get into DeLucca's in The Strip, but the wait was too long). Our only options were McDonald's in The Strip (no thanks) or to pay $17.95 for a buffet breakfast in the hotel. We opted to wait for lunch, and were delighted to be able to get into Primante Brothers in The Strip for one of their awesome sandwiches (highly recommended)! The hotel needs to come up with a more economical restaurant on the premises - one that is open on the weekends! Mehr

Seeing as how there are only a handful of four star hotels in Pittsburgh, I expected more from this hotel. It was fine - comfortable beds, nice lobby and fitness center. The room needed some sprucing up and the carpet needed a good cleaning. The vents were dirty and filled with dust, which I only noticed b/c my infant kept trying to crawl around the […] room. Plus her knees and feet were dirty after a few minutes of crawling around on the carpet. The pool however, was beautiful. The strip district is lovely and a short distance away. Overall, this hotel is comparable in my book to a three-star hotel, yet it has a four-star price. Mehr

Great hotel in a good location. Can walk to Strip district or stadiums with ease. Nice rooms and fitness center, great shower and beds.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was stuffy - not welcoming at all. The 'free' wifi was a 'lite' version of wifi and we couldn't get a connection. A more reliable Wifi connection was offered at an extra fee. :( There was no continental breakfast -- and the room service was extremely expensive. ($20 per person for breakfast). We had […] stayed the week prior for one night at the Hampton Inn and Suites (very close nearby). This hotel was equally as comfortable and clean. The Wifi connection was better... and they had a free breakfast (including bacon and eggs!). Mehr

Easy to get to/ from highway. Friendly staff. Workout room needs a good cleaning. Beds very comfortable. Does not have a good breakfast place, but take a right on Liberty street and only a few shops from the intersection is a great, cheap place... We had eggs, french toast, sausage, potatoes, and coffee for $5! The indoor walkway to the convention center […] is long and circuitous, so quicker to go outside and walk -- then you can also enjoy the newly opened Water Wall and Riverwalk... very nice! La Mont Restaurant nearby on Mt Washington is expensive but fabulous food, excellent service, and spectacular views of city. Mehr

Hotel service was excellent. I left my briefcase on the hotel shuttle and didn't notice until I went into my meeting. Called the hotel and the shuttle driver returned immediately.

Big rooms. Clean rooms. The staff was very friendly, especially the valet, Ricky. Everyone was hospitable and very helpful. The location was convenient and there was computer in the lobby to help you find restaurants in the city. Great price for an extra nice hotel.

The Hotel was not acomadating at all and and the rooms were very old and run down. Parking was not even part of the overall bill that was extra and we were not made aware of this until we arrived and checked in. We like the downtown, but will see it from a different hotel next time.

My family stayed here for 2 days and really enjoyed the hotel and it's amenities. We appreciated the Westin's commitment to organic bedding and superfoods (healthy eating) at their restaurant. The fitness center was the best I've ever seen at a hotel. The staff was great the view of the river was nice.

Our stay here was great. We went up for a Penguins hockey game. There were only a couple of exceptions. The pillows were not comfortable for sleeping and the paint was peeling in the bathroom ceiling. If there was a fan in the bathroom that would help with the moisture collecting from the shower and causing it to peel. Overall we enjoyed our stay and […] the staff. nothing sadder then a hotel thinking its in its prime when that time has clearly passed by.....what once may have been a nice property is clearly showing its age and needs a wake up call to shape up....

The Westin is within walking distance of many downtown attractions. The streets nearby have lots of varied restaurants and bars. Hotel lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas!! I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The Westin is a 15 minute walk from Heinz Field and an even shorter distance to shopping and resturants in downtown. Once you park at the Westin, you won't need your car anymore to enjoy the downtown area. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Sometimes a pizza at 3am is just what the doctor ordered.

Hotel room was spectacular for its class. Front desk was cheerful. Valet parking could not produce the car promptly and room service breakfast was overcooked and cold but the front desk at check out removed it from my bill without my even asking.

Upon check in i was told i wouldnt be able to get the room i reserved. I wasn't offered any substitutions or any kind of monetary refund. This is the second time this has happened to me at this hotel. That night after the Pens game we stopped at the Bar for a small eat. The server was not so polite after finding out we didnt want a full course meal. […] We ordered a kids plate of chicken tenders, when they were recieved, the tenders had been deep fried in the same bucket that they had been doing the fish in. Not cool. Chicken isn't suppose to taste like fish. I will never stay here again. I will pay more and recieve more next time. Mehr

For the price you pay at this hotel you will be very disappointed. They night before I stayed in a different hotel at half the price, and was 3 times as happy with my stay. There are to many negative points about the Westin to list them all.

Our stay at The Westin in Pittsburgh was worth the money. We were greeted out front by the valet and doorman. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. We were able to take advantage of the shuttle to and from PNC Park. The Heavenly Soft beds truely were heavenly. Thanks to all the staff from outside through the lobby and into our room. Everything about the hotel was fine except for the temperature control. The thermostat seemed way off and we weren't comfortable until it was lowered to 6) degrees. The only other strange thing was that many stores in the surrounding neighborhood were closed the entire weekend.

The staff and hotel were amazing. From the minute I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted and handled like a king.
