Radisson Blu Palais Hotel, Vienna - Wien

Der Zustand und die Sauberkeit der Zimmer war eines 5* Hotels nicht würdig. Es gab Lackabplatzungen und Tiefe Kratzer in der Tür und in den Schranktüren. Die Badewanne war nicht richtig sauber. Stock- und Schimmelflecken waren an der Decke des Badezimmers. Für ein 3-4* Hotel wäre das vielleicht noch akzeptabel gewesen, aber nicht für ein 5* Palaishotel. […] Des Weiteren waren die Betten sehr hart und die Kissen zu hoch, so dass wir nach einer Nacht schon Rückenschmerzen hatten. In der Buchung bei hotels.com stand, dass wir bis 15Uhr auschecken müssten. An der Rezeption wurde uns allerdings von einer recht kühlen Empfangsdame mitgeteilt, dass wir bis 12Uhr die Zimmerschlüssel zurückgeben müssen. Das Hotel liegt Zentral und ist mit der U-Bahn gut erreichbar. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war schön und ruhig gelegen, allerdings war das Bett für zwei Personen ein bißchen zu klein(140cm). Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich, es blieb kein Wunsch offen. Sehr gute Lage an der Ringstraße aber nur mäßiger Service. Wir sind um 12 Uhr Mittags angekommen, konnten aber erst um 17 Uhr unser Zimmer beziehen, nachdem wir vorher 3 noch nicht gereinigte Zimmer zugewiesen bekommen haben. Für ein 5 Sterne Haus eine Frechheit! Die Dame an der Rezeption war zwar sehr bemüht aber so etwas darf nicht vorkommen. Ich […] kann dieses Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen! Mehr

We are an Irish couple and we travelled to Vienna to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed in the Radissdon Blu Palais Hotel. It is a fabulous hotel. The ambience is delightful; the rooms are ecxcellent; he service is great and the food there is very tasteful. The hotel location is excellent. It is central to anything we wanted to do. The facade looks amazing and and you come in in the main entrance, you can't help but be wowed by the splender. But it's short lived, I'm afraid. The hotel seems disorganised: as though it is three hotels stuffed together. The staff where nice enough - although I did get passed from one to another a lot. And my wake up call never materialised : which […] as a business traveller always puts me off a hotel instantly. As i had ten minutes to get ready and out of the room because of the forgotten wakeup call, I didn't sample breakfast (but seemed too expensive). My room was spacious - but the bed and pillows provided really lumpy and uncomfortable. It was clean - but not 5* I would say. And no, I probably wouldn't stay there again. Mehr

I stayed here in October 2011 for a conference in a neighbouring hotel. The service was superb and the staff couldn't do enough for you. I had forgotton my toothbrush and razor and they provided these free of charge. There was free wifi in the room which was essential as a business traveller. The room was huge and had windows that opened above an atrium […] to let fresh air in. It had all the facilities you would expect from a 5* hotel but obviously this included extorionate bar prices but that's to be expected. However the mini-bar in the room was free of charge and included a beer, sparkling wine and coke. An unexpected treat! It is very accessible to the centre and close to a lovely park - all walking distance. The public transport links are excellent. There are a number of good restaurants and bars within 300m of the hotel too. I would definitely stay here again either as a business traveller or a tourist. Mehr

the hotel Radisson Blu Palais Hotel, Vienna, is rated as 5-star, but the room condition and hotel service are really similar to 3-star if it would be rated in the US. the room is tiny small and dated. we were there in march, the room was so cold, even the heating made big noise, it was still too weak to warm up that small room.

Our short break in Vienna was to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. The weather was clear and sunny, if a little cold at times. Vienna is a wonderful city, so cultured and refined; very little graffiti and so clean. The Radisson Blu hotel is ideally situated on the Inner Ring Road, close to the centre of the city and all public transport. We only took […] breakfast in the hotel, preferring to sample the large variety of restaurants for other meals, but the quality of these breakfasts and the service was excellent. The reception desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, and to cap it all they even provided a delicious cake to celebrate the occasion. Hotel is in a good location near to subway stations and is well presented with impressive reception area. Spa and fitness services are excellent. This felt like a 4 star hotel as the room was small and the TV even smaller with few english speaking channels. It took 3 days to get the sink fixed. Hotel is very nice and good location

Close to the centre - many other important sights are in walking distance. The service in the bar at night was particularly good. The hotel breakfast area is really nice - very Vienna!

The Radisson Blu Palaisis a fine hotel, well deserving of a 5-star rating. The room was sparkling, the lighting was good, the public areas were clean and comfortable and the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was a bit small but that's typicalof hotels in older buildings. The location was good, across from the park and about 6-8 blocks from […] the heart of the old town. The resteraunt was rather expensive but good and, again, typical of pricing in 5-star hotels in Europe. Overall, a very good hotel. Mehr

Exploring Vienna is a snap at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast included was very nice. First class. Good quality for the price. The Vienna Opera house , the outdoor market, and the Lippizzian Horse School is in close walking distance. Enjoy.

Nice hotel in old building. All amenities fine. Breakfast buffet nice, but heavily overpriced at Euro twentyfive- Fine location 4 min walk from a subway and only 10 min walk in nice cozy midtown streets to the city centrer walking street, the Stefan's Dom etc.etc. Taxi to airport is Euro thirtyfive- and worth it if you are two people. 1 person can save […] on going by the express train for only Euro ten- Mehr

It took me more than 25 minutes waiting for check it and took more than 10 minutes for the procedures of check in. Staff is not professional and just only one employee was serving the hall reception including concierge, check-in and check-out. Room need to be renovated and represented several tiems many claim concerning cleaning the room and toilet […] . Mehr

A maginficent facade and public spaces that hide small cubicles of rooms in which the A/C barely works if the temp is above 75degrees F. The first room we were given had plastic laminate flooring throuout and barely enough room for the bed a two suitcases. The next day we requested and were moved to the " renovated wing" room was larger and had carpeting […] but the furnishings look like they were ready for the flea market. The best thing about this hotel is its location to the main shopping and eating areas in Vienna. I would stay in the same location but move to the other branded hotel across the street. The bathrooms were tiny and soap must be very expensive since they only changed it when requested. Strangely enough this was the only hotel out of the 6 we stayed at throughout europe that actually gave us 2 FREE bottles of still and sparkling water every day along with a free minibar stocked with 8 different drinks including soda and beer. Vi var 7 som skulle delta i Wien Maraton og hotelet var perfekt mhht til beliggenhhet. Enkelt å ta undergrunn til start og gang avstand fra mål til hotelet.

Det virkede nærmest som om at det var irriterende at der kom gæster på hotellet. Maden i hotel restauranten var fin nok, men vi ventede også 1,5 time på den med to utålmodige børn. Det var næsten umuligt at finde en ekstra dyne til os, da vi havde fået en dobbeltdyne, selvom der var bestilt seperate senge. Personalet synes ikke at være dedikeret til […] deres arbejde. Parkering fungerede godt i kælderen, men dyrt. Der blev rådgivet forkert da min far ville parkere på gaden og han købte parkeringsbilletter til et døgn, hvorefter han får at vide at man kun kan putte billetter i for 2 timer ad gangen !!!! 20 Euro ud ad vinduet.... Den eneste grund til at opholdet blev ok, var at vi fik vores rum opgraderet, men det var selvfølgelig på grund at rod i værelsesbestillingerne... Mehr

Fra vi kom til inngangspartiet, og vi kom inn i hotellets foaje og ble møtt av piqolo og møte med de som sto bak innsjekkingsskranken. Veldig bra. Hyggelig atmosphære og blide mennesker. Frokosten var fin. Atmosphæren der, vennlige betjening som var behagelige og samtidige forsiktige i sin utførelse av service'en, gjorde at vi bli sittende å prate […] lenge. Hotelli on miellyttävä ja tasokas ja sijainniltaan ideaali vanhan kaupungin kupeessa. Esimerkiksi juna lentokentälle lähtee alle kilometrin päästä Mitteltä. Ainoa harmittava seikka oli, että aulan flyygelin soitto kuului lasikaton läpi iltaisin neljännen kerroksen huoneeseen saakka.

Очень посредственное состояние номеров с точки зрения оборудования (маленький и плохо работающий телевизор, нет свободных эл.розеток, не горит лампочка, постоянно чего-то отваливается: крючки в ванной, крепеж душа не фиксируется и т.п.) и, что самое удивительное, добится устранения неисправностей практически невозможно. В остальном все нормально.

Hotellet har en flott beliggenhet midt i sentrum av Wien, med 5 min gåavstand til operaen, gågaten og umiddelbar nærhet til buss, trikk og t-bane. Et vanlig dobbeltrom var ikke stort, men pent innredet og med de faciliteter som forventes av et 5 stjerners hotell. Meget professjonell og god service. Check-in og out var rask og god. Behjelpelige portierer […] og generelt hyggelig hotellpersonalet. Restauranten og baren var hyggelig, og med god mat og hyggelig service. Hotellet tilbyr transfer til flyplassen med egen bil og sjåfør til en god pris (rimeligere enn drosje). Etter 4 døgn på hotellet har vi lite eller ingen ting å utsette på servicen, beliggenheten og prisen. Kan absolutt anbefales. Vi kommer gjerne igjen. Mehr

Det eneste jeg vil bemærke er omkring politiken for rene håndklæder - hvis jeg ikke ønskede dem vasket skulle jeg hænge dem op, hvilket jeg gjorde. Den politik bliver ikke efterlevet - jeg fik rene håndklæder hver dag. Det er selvfølge også dejligt, men jeg har ikke noget imod ikke at få rene håndklæder hver dag
