This hotel met my expectations totally. The hotel is extremely clean and the gardens well maintained. All of the staff are friendly and it is obvious their goal is to please their guests. The hotel is about 15 min walk from Grand Baie where there are lots of restaurants and shopping and about the same distance to Perebyere. If you do not want to walk […] the bus runs quite frequently or one could take a taxi which is very reasonable. We did not stay on an all inclusive basis since we prefer to try different restaurants. The hotel is well positioned and you are able to walk to Grand Baie (20 minute walk) if you do not wish to catch a taxi. Although the food is good I would on my next visit take a breakfast only option which would allow one to visit all the restaurants in the area for a more versatile eating experience.

The only reason this hotel is good is because of the location right at the beach. The hotel is old (very loud minibar) and either the staff is too friendly (making compliments to my French although I dont speak a single word) or one doesnt feels that they are interested to help. We were nicely surprised on arrival and just after we settled down at our room, etc. The warm reception from all staff was excellent, notably from Mr. Laval, always friendly This is not the pretentious, stereotyped and large resort-type hotel facility. It has a feeling of a time passé yet that is precisely what makes it interesting and appealing, relaxing […] and inviting. The hotel has a lovely, small, almost private beachfront in the form of a bay and there is a “boat house” where dedicate staff can organize all sorts of touring activities, water sports, sailing etc. We stayed in a superior room, reasonably large, quiet and efficient air conditioning. The service quality of staff varies but generally speaking most of them are warm and friendly, only a few need bit more customer training. The hotel beach is beautiful and the boathouse offers a great variety of free & charged watersports, perfect for active people.

We loved the hotel and had a wonderful time there from the time we arrived till the time we left. It exceeded our expectations. They made an effort to make us feel welcome in all sorts of little ways. Hotel pretty much as expected. Clean, a little dated - Leaks in the corridors from rain. Rooms decorated to a fair standard. Usual mini bar extortion. Hotel located on a nice quiet beach around 800 metres wide. A little too far from the hub of Grand Baie to be walked on a casual basis - maybe a mile and a quarter plus away. Breakfast a good choice […] available, although the pre cooked hot breakfast was cold (as it always is in 90% of the worlds hotels). Dinner was Ok. The a la carte was just mediocre food, no Gordon Ramsey here. It was edible, no issues, but I wish hotels would not try to dress mediocre food on a menu as the most amazing in the world. My only gripe was that the beer in the hotel bars/restaurant was unreasonable expensive - around 180rupee for a small beer. As a lot of people there seemed to be on a meal 'package' this the obvious way of clawing some money back. Would I stay again - yes. Would I wish to get paraletically drunk in the hotel bar and wish to pay the resulting bill - no. Mehr

Dette var anden gang vi besøgte hotellet.Fantastisk beliggenhed super strand og dejligt personale. Stranbar stadig urimelig dyr sammenlignet med andre hoteller selv med højere rating. Ligger en god gåtur fra centre af Grand Baie ca 15 min. Gratis vandsportaktiviteter i stort udvalg.

Magnifique séjour, le personnel est très accueillant. La nourriture est très bonne. Les chambres sont nettoyées tous les jours. On se sent comme à la maison. The hotel was generally good, with a nice seashore including the quite wide offering of "water activities" that I understand is common for the better hotels on Mauritius (I waterskied quite often and enjoyed the easy service, with the suitable equipment, offered for that). Uniche pecche il non aver istituito un servizio navetta dall"hotel al centro di Grand Baye che si consiglia di visitare e più scocciante l"aver dovuto cambiare la stanza standard con una deluxe in quanto la standard era veramente da albergo 2 stelle per quanto riguardava la manutenzione degli arredi dei pavimenti e dei bagni, senza contare i corridoi, […] decisamente orribile il parquet in finto legno distrutto e sporco. Attenzione anche sulla spiaggia ad un certo Jean Paul vagamente assomigliante a M.Jackson quando era ancora nero. Il Tipo in divisa bianca con tanto di targhetta con il nome, fa il simpatico cantando canzoni di Vasco Rossi facendovi credere autorizzato dall'hotel vi propina a 2000 Rps a persona, escursioni alla Ile Aux Cerfs. Dietro non c'è. Nessuna organizzazione e alla reception ci hanno confermato che molti si sono lamentati con l'hotel di problemi con le barche usate per i trasferimenti. Mehr

La qualité de service était excellente, pleine de petites attentions pour rendre notre séjour plus agréable. Hotellet, beliggenheten, fasilitetene og servicen var helt grei. Hotellet bar vel litt preg av mangel på vedlikehold som noe avflasset maling på WC døra på rommet etc. Service og vennlighet var stort sett bra, men dabbet litt av etter som dagene gikk. Ved / etter utsjekk så var vennigheten og servicen nesten borte. PC / internett i resepsjonen var til […] fritt bruk, men ble belastet med 500 rupi for oppholdet. Utsjekk kl. 11.00 men flyavgang kl. 22.35 gjorde at jeg ba om muligheten for å beholde rommet til kl. 16.00 som de gjorde seg noe kostbare for ( selv ved 40% belegg ) Etter litt sjekking så var det mulig for en sum av 1700 rupi. Greit med en dusj og selle seg før en lang flyreise. Fra kl. 14.30 begynte renholdspers. å banke på for å komme inn på rommet. Fin strand, pedalbåter, seilbåter, snorkling fra båt og kajakker, badehånkle og solstoler til fritt bruk. Noen plagsomme selgere på stranden. God frokost med valg av omelett og mye god mat. Lunch og middag helt ok. Fin stemning og underholdning i strandbaren, hyggelig sted. Alt i alt et helt greit sted og opphold. Kan anbefalles. Jørn Mehr

ottima posizione,si trova sulla spiaggia atrezzata ottimamente. a pochi minuti da Grand Baye, personale tutto e team menager disponibilissimi.cucina soddisfacente e spesso gradevole. Note negative Wfy lento e caro e, solo nella zona reception ,quindi molto disturbati. La mancanza di toilette per le zone comuni.(solo 1 toilette che doveva soddisfare […] tutte le esigenze della reception,del ristorante e di tutta la spiaggia ; inoltre si trova nel ristorante e,dalla spiaggia si deve attraversare il ristorante) . Vacanza indimenticabile anche grazie a questo hotel.. La posizione è ottima,la spiaggia è molto lunga e pulita. Con una passeggiata di un paio di KM si può raggiungere la zona di Grand Baie,dove ci sono ristoranti e negozi. L'unico vero consiglio posso offrire è di non prendere il pacchetto All Inclusive poichè c'è tanto da visitare nell'isola e quindi […] a pranzo sarete sempre in giro. Quando sarete in spiaggia verrete sicuramente avvicinati da un personaggio di nome Jean Paul,lui vi proporrà diverse opzioni di gite in catamarano e visite dell'isola. Noi ci siamo pienamente affidati a lui e ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti!!! Andate a vedere: La fabbrica del Thè e il suo ristorante(dove potrete degustare ogni tipo di Thè, il cratere del vulcano nella città di Curepipe,la fabbrica di zucchero e il giardino botanico di Pamplemousse. Eravamo già stati al Merville Beach due anni fa. Buon hotel, non nuovissimo, camera ampia e confortevole (524). Ottima località con una bella spiaggia e un bellissimo mare. Si trova nella parte nord-ovest di Mauritius, la meno piovosa di tutta l'isola. A poca distanza da Grand Bay (ristoranti, shopping), raggiungibile facilmente anche a piedi. Oltre […] che con il trasporto pubblico e taxi. A colazione c'è di tutto. Cena a volte a buffet e a volte servita al tavolo, sia con piatti tipici che di cucina internazionale. Ci siamo trovati bene (bisogna sempre tenere conto del rapporto prezzo/qualità), finalmente otto giorni senza la solita pasta. Buon punto di partenza per fare escursioni (Pamplemousse, Isola dei Cervi, Ilot Gabriel, Coconut Island...................). La sera dopo cena c'è sempre intrattenimento musicale e anche con danze tipiche. Lo consigliamo per una bella vacanza a Mauritius. Mehr
