Very useful: accross the street is Starbucks with free WIFI (very very rare in India). Breakfast could be with bigger choise. Don't take a room ending with 18 (kitschen is below). All other rooms are fine.

Der Flughafen ist 5min vom Hotel entfernt, was für unsere Heimreise sehr praktisch war. Im großen und ganzen ist das Hotel für eine oder zwei Übernachtungen völig ausreichend im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels in Mumbai zb. Hotel Everest in Mumbai Colaba-absolute Frechheit!!!

But things considered: a recommendable Hotel. Thanks a lot! Sehr schönes Hotel, freundliches Personal. Aber dies ist mehr ein Hotel für Geschäftsreisende, als das klassische (Familien) Urlaubshotel. Dennoch: absolut empfehlenswert. Danke, gerne wieder!

Das Fort-Viertel bildet das Zentrum Mumbais. In der Vergangenheit war hier eine Konzentration von Behörden sowie Banken und Firmen zu verzeichnen. Auch heute noch unterhalten einige der wichtigsten Firmen Büros in diesem Stadtteil. Das Churchgate-Viertel, das seinen Namen dem berühmten Bahnhof Churchgate Railway Station verdankt, befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft von Nariman Point, einem der modernsten Gebiete Mumbais. Der von der prächtigen klassizistischen Town Hall überragte Horniman Circle ist der Mittelpunkt des Fort-Viertels. Die Gebäude im gotischen und viktorianischen Stil im Fort-Viertel sind eindrucksvolle Zeugnisse der britischen Kolonialzeit. Besuchern mit einem Interesse an indischer Kunst wird ein Besuch der Jehangir Art Gallery - Mumbais bekanntestes Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst in der Nähe des Prince of Wales Museum - wärmstens empfohlen. Zu den weiteren berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten gehören Flora Fountain, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (früher Victoria Terminus), das Gebäude der Municipal Corporation sowie die University of Mumbai mit dem Glockenturm Rajabai.

"Super Hotel mit Europäischen Standards"
Das Hotel ist sehr praktisch gelegen um ein großen Teil der Sehenswürdigkeiten Mumbais gut zu erreichen. Das Hotel entsprach voll meinen Erwartungen, einzig ein paar kleine Risse in der Wand zum Badezimmer störten die perfekte Bewertung des Zustands. "Good, But Not Great!"
I had booked a Ocean facing Premier Ocean View room which is supposed to include breakfast, however during check-in I was told by the executive handling my check-in that breakfast was not included. I was disappointed and so I called Hotels.com immediately after check-in and they confirmed that breakfast was indeed included in the tariff. I called up […] the reception again and narrated the whole story and this time I was stern in my voice. Well... not sure what happened in the backend but after 15 minutes I got a call back from the reception to confirm that the breakfast was included in the tariff. Whew... All that wasted an hour of my time. However, while checkout when I mentioned this in the feedback form, I was impressed that their executives really got concerned and one of them even came running behind me as I was leaving the hotel, to apologize and promising me to provide better service next time. "It is the service that let it down....."
Initial check-in process was good. The first room we were sent to, smelt awful. We requested to change rooms and were shifted to a better rom on the 29 floor. One morning we called house keeping for an iron and ear buds. The iron was delivered to our room almost immediately, but in spite of reminding the staff twice, we did not get the ear buds. I then […] requested the reception to have some sent to our room, as we were going out for the day. But there was nothing when we returned! I followed it with another phone call and was promised it would be sent immediately. ...nothing came! The bed was uncomfortable and the quilt covers did not fit the quilt well. The checking in process was seamless. The conceirge was brilliant in arranging a dinner reservation at famous competitor restaurant. Breakfast was superb, especially the omelette stand and the guava juice. Would definitely stay there again if I want to be that side of Mumbai city. "Excellent hotel in Marine Drive, value for money"
Excellent location, very friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, large breakfast buffet and exciting shopping! I would definitely stay at this wonderful hotel again. I have stayed at this property several times when it used to be Oberoi. Since then, I found the room/furnishings/furniture all of much lower standard and preparation of food (particularly Indian bread) at their Italian Rest. very disgusting. "Perfectly located oasis in Mumbai"
We had a wonderful 5 nights at the Trident Nariman Point. No only was it convenient for all the major tourist spots, it was a calm and cool oasis in a hot and dusty city. The room was just fine, with all the conveniences (including a fridge, so we could cool the free water!) and plenty of space. Most things were in walking distance, but a taxi ride […] to the Gateway of India was only 50-100 rupees (depending on the taxi driver!), so easily affordable if you've had enough of walking. An annoying negative - no drawers for putting clothing in... I don't like to living out of a suitcase, so this was irritating - there was plenty of space in the room to put a chest of drawers! However, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The food was great, we ate in on 2 of the nights in 2 of the restaurants and the choices were great. Breakfast was always good, with plenty of fresh fruit, breads, cereals and a choice of something hot, including getting any eggs cooked to your preference. "Excellent 5-Star Hotel in a Pretty Good Location"
My stay at the Trident was incredible. The service, comfort, cleanliness, and amenities were top notch. The spa was equally excellent; I thoroughly enjoyed my massage, and the gym facilities rival any major gym. The staff was unbelievably helpful and made my stay very easy and stress free. While the neighborhood is good and the view of the sea is excellent, […] there's not a whole lot within walking distance. The only minor points to improve the room comfort: 1. the wardrobe handles design is poor so the wife struggled to open the wardrobes. 2. "Hotel that makes you feel at home"
One has to commend the Manager & Staff for their very friendly hospitality and smile that meets us whenever we met them. One feels at home. However one concern is the bathroom withs its modern taps that takes us a while to sort out. Also if one brings ones mother to the hotel, she will find the bathroom not friendly at all. The Privacy with the blinds […] is another issue.With all of that, I would still visit the Hotel again as the cleanliness of the hotel and its room, the quality of service and hotel location is fantastic. Well located for leisure travel - just far enough away from The Gate of India to escape the madness, but close enough for a short walk to it. "Good location and good service."
It was my first time in Mumbai and I this was a great place to stay. It is close to the few tourist locations and it was very easy to walk around. Good neighborhood as well. Room was clean and well maintained. It was comfortable and the staff was very helpful in helping us find restaurants and places to visit. The hotel is clean and very nice. The breakfast which is included in the price of the room was bountiful and delicious. The service was impeccable. The concierge was very attentive and gave me some excellent suggestions of places to visit and shop. She arranged a fantastic tour guide for me for a half-day tour through Colaba. Excellent hotel in a very good location. It is located in a business area and within walking distance 2,5km from the Gateway of India, Univesity of Mumbai and Colaba (a shopping area with many small stores). The hotel is extreemly well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful . The rooms in the uppers stories were recently refurbished. They are […] modern and comfortable. My wife and I traveled to India for the first time for our honeymoon. After a long flight from the United States this hotel was our "safe place" from the culture shock and crowds of Mumbai.
