Knights Inn Statesboro - Statesboro

We booked for a smoking room with 2 queen size beds, HBO, pets allowed...for around $50 a night. We weren't expecting the Marriott but I was expecting to get a clean room and what I paid for....Instead we got 2 very springy uncomfortable double beds, no HBO, an added pet fee each night (which is not advertised) and to top that all off, the sheets were […] obviously used, dirty and gross....the hotel room itself was disgusting, with mold growing in the bathroom. The area wasn't the best either...but conveniently located to most things. With a pet and a child and all of our available funds tied up already in this hotel, we couldn't afford to look for another place while waiting for a refund. Good luck getting a refund... Mehr

I will never stay there again if I can help it. This was a last minute trip to attend a funeral and all other local lodging was unavailable. The toilet did not flush properly. We only stayed at this hotel for about 6 hours. Arrived at 1 am and checked out around 7 am...passing through town. The hotel needs renovation in a serious way, but was clean and definitely served it's purpose in an affordable way. I would choose it again for similar purposes, but doubt that I would choose it for a longer stay.

It was awful. I would never stay at Knight's Inn in Statesboro again. The hotel condition was awful and so was the area.

The rooms were clean & in pretty good condition. However the towels are horrible. There small thin & feel like sand paper on your skin. The pillows are too soft & as soon as you put your head on it it's flat. If you stay here bring your own towels & pillows.

Second time to spend the night here. And I'll say it again, for the price I paid, you get what you pay for. If you're just passing through or dropping your kid off at Georgia Southern, this is a convenient and cheap place to crash for the night. Nice TV, not a flat screen, but it was nice. A good selection of cable channels (at least all the ones I watch). Free HBO. Had mini frig and microwave in room, but didn't use them. Free breakfast, well. . . you get what you pay for. Coffee, juice, bagel, old danishes, 2 kinds of cold cereal (Raisin Bran & Fruit Loops), and L'Eggo waffles. That's about it. But I'm not a breakfast guy anyway. Just give me good coffee and I'm good. Hotel is outdated and definitely no frills. But I'll stay here again when I'm picking up my kid, or dropping him off. Staff were helpful and friendly. The beds and rooms were adequate and very convenient to GSU. You can't pay rock bottom prices and expect to stay at the Hilton.

Another guest couldnt use key to get into room, doors had to be slammed to shut, anyone using the stairs sounded like an earthquake. Beds squeeked. Reasonalby priced and one of few hotels that had non-smoking rooms avaialble on crowded weekend with last minute booking. Convient location to Georgia Southern Campus

Not only did the first two rooms we tried have a nasty odor, but there was a dead roach and broken remote control in one and small, thin, crusty towels in all. This was the cheapest hotel in the area, and was in an extremely convenient location, next to Ga. Southern campus, right off the main street. Given how much I paid for a one night stay, I can't complain too loudly. This is a very, very, very, old hotel, and it shows. Window units instead of central heat/air; old tub, old sink, outdated furnishings (circa […] 70's) and small. It wasn't the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in, but it wasn't the dirtiest either. I'd rate it sub-par. It smelled old (like an old hotel, if you know that smell). On the bright side, I appreciated the free wi-fi; it was very reliable. And the TV was an updated flat screen TV with HD and all the cable channels I was looking for. I didn't bother with the pool or the free breakfast. I was there to drop off my kid and head home. If you're looking for a place to crash for one night, with no frills at a cheap rate, and don't plan to spend a lot of time actually in the hotel, then I would recommend this place. The room had a bad odor, the towels were dingy, the bed needed new mattress, I couldn't sleep cause my back was hurting due to the condition of the mattress. No iron in the room. I got in at 10pm; manager saw my arrival and had registration form and key ready; he confirmed my room, asked if I wanted an upgrade to non-smoking (expedia pkg was for king smoking room) king, which I did. Bed was wonderful after 6 hrs on the road. I have already told everyone in my family who travels from Florida to GA about this hotel. Can't say enough good things!! Except, it was hard to find. Roads are dark and not well marked, but not the fault of the hotel; most likely my error and overtiredness, led me on a drive to a less than attractive neighborhood. I stay at this hotel every time I work in Statesboro and it is perfect for my business travel needs. The rooms are clean, functional and have high speed internet. The breakfast is not too bad either. Very friendly manager and staff. Will continue to stay at Knights Inn when working in the area again.

This hotel is fine for the money. Friendly staff, very convenient to Georgia Southern. Old and a little run down, but our room was clean and served us just fine. Little restaurant across the street, Gnat's Landing (or something like that) was surprisingly good.

room was hot as the AC was off all day and with as hot as it's been this summer it took a while to cool off especially with the location of the unit around the corner near the bathroom instead of in the main room. Older room. OK though, clean, internet worked and friendly gentleman at the desk. Wouldn't mind staying here again for the price.
