Als Vorübernachtung für eine Kreuzfahrt völlig o.K. zumal das Hotel den kostenlosen Busshuttle stellt. Falls man zu Fuß Richtung Las Olaz Blv. geht, sollte man schon darauf achten, wer in der Umgebung rumläuft ( im Dunkeln besser mit dem Taxi fahren), da einige Obdachlose rumhängen.Aber das ist ja in Deutschland auch nicht anders. Frühstück für amerikanische Verhältnisse o. K.

Stilgemäßes Art-Deco-Hotel für einen Aufenthalt mitten drin in Miami Beach. Sehr schönes Ambiente in der Lobby. Zwar ist das Personal viel Kommen und Gehen von Gästen gewöhnt, trotzdem noch positive, freundliche Routine.

In dieser Preiskategorie sicher eines der besten Hotels. Saubere und moderne Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal. Einzig negativ ist die Poolanlage. Mobiliar verbraucht und lädt nicht zum planschen ein. Pool ist auch sehr klein. Habe keine Gäste gesehen die sich dort aufgehalten haben. Aber ansonst sehr zu empfehlen da in kurzer entfernung(3min. Fußweg) Supermärkte, Restaurants und andere Geschäfte vorhanden. Von 6 Hotels in dieser Preisklasse die wir in Florida besuchtt haben, eindeutig das beste Hotel.

Hervorragende Lage ein Block vom Ocean Drive und dem wunderbaren Strand entfernt. Äußerst freundlicher Service. Die Standardzimmer sind klein aber sehr zweckmäßig und nett im Art Deco Stil eingerichtet. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool auf der Dachterrasse. Es werden kostenlos Liegen und Handtücher am Strand zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr zu empfehlen für Gäste die direkt in der Nähe des Art Deco Viertels übernachten möchten.

"Wirklich nur für anspruchslose Retrofreunde"
Das Hotel Marco Polo hat es vor 20 bis 30 Jahren versäumt, mit Rennovationsarbeiten zu beginnen. Der Zustand heute ist eine Zumutung und weist das mit Abstand schlechteste Preis/Leistungsverhältnis auf, welches ich je angetroffen habe. Im Zimmer waren zudem Käfer.
"Super Strand-Lage"
Alles in allem ein Hotel in dem man sich wohlfühlen kann. Frühstück sehr Mager in der Auswahl aber ansonsten in Ordnung. Lediglich das Valetparking hat sehr lange gedauert um sein Auto zu bekommen und hat dafür verhältnissmäßig viel gekostet.
"Super Lage, Zimmer die entsprechend feucht riechen"
Als Florida- und HOTELS.COM-Fans (einfach super) haben wir eine Woche diese Hotel ausprobiert - werden nicht mehr kommen! Lobby und Service sowie Frühstück sind gut - freuendliche, hilfsbereite und engagierte Hotelangestellte. Unser Zimmer (705) riecht muffelig und es waren als wir es nutzten im Bad-Deckenbereich schwarze Schimmelflecken vorhanden, […] die Einbauküche durfte nicht geöffnet werden, da auch hier die Feuchtigkeit und der damit verbunde Muff drin steckt. Für mich kein so großes Problem, meine Frau als Asthmatikerin und meine beiden Kinder hatten da schon ganz schön zu kämpfen. So haben wir die Tage am herrlichen, täglich gepflegten Strand verbracht. Der Pool sollte mal gründlichst gereinigt werden und nicht nur morgens die Haare und ähnliches rausgefischt werden, was hier fehlt ist ein Poolstaubsager, der die Dinge am Boden aufnimmt. Ansonsten schöner Pool und ausreichend Liegen sowie Badetücher für alle Gäste vorhanden auch hier stimmt der Service, der sich auch hier engagiert und hilfsbereit zeigte. Da wir einen Mietwagen hatten nutzten wir das Valet-Parking. Am Tag meiner Tauch-Tour auf den Upper-Keys wartete ich über 20 min auf unser Fahrzeug - mein Tauchboot war weg! Und das bei stolzen 18,- USD/Tag plus Trinkgeldern einfach kein guter Service in diesem Bereich. Ein Auto ist aber wenn man nicht nur Strand haben will wichtig um auch mal was anderes von Miami und Umgebung zu sehen - was sich immer lohnt und wirklich begeisternd sein kann. Mehr
"direkte Strandlage, für Fam.-urlaub"
Für Fam. gut geeignet, Frühstück inclusive, Pool für groß und klein ,ausreichend liegen und Sonnenschirme( kostenlos),gegenüber vom Hotel ausgezeichneter Spielplatz, Bus direkt vorm Hotel, Lifeguards am Strand, das Hotel ist zwar schon in die Jahre gekommen erscheint im 70iger Stil, Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit
"Gemischte Gefühle"
Die Empfangshalle ist sehr groß und recht einladend. Die Zimmer sind von der Größe her auch vollkommen ok. Die Sauberkeit lässt ein wenig zu wünschen übrig. Die Betten waren ok und auch das Bad wurde regelmäßig gewischt, dennoch sollte man nicht so genau in die Ecken schauen. In unserem Küchenschrank zB befand sind ein wenig Schimmel ... ansonsten war […] das Zimmer aber in Ordnung. Das Frühstück war dürftig. Toast mit Schmierkäse oder Marmelade. Sonst gab es nur noch Kellogs / Fruit Loops - die aber auch recht schnell vergriffen waren und dann nicht mehr nachgefüllt wurden - auch nicht auf Anfrage. Die Frühstücksdamen hatten Mühe sich mal ein Lächeln abzuringen und waren meist recht unfreundlich. Nach der Hälfte unserer Aufenthalts wurde offenbar renoviert. Ohne irgendwelche Infos oder Hinweise gab es plötzlich nur noch Plastikteller und Besteck, Pappbecher... hatte was von Campingatmosphäre....und ob ich das im Hotel wirklich haben will? Eher nicht. Zudem wurde rund um den Pool gestrichen und es roch ganz schön intensiv nach Farbe..... der Pool allerdings war sehr schön und wirklich groß. Nur eine kleine Treppe hinunter und man war direkt am Strand und Meer... das war schon wirklich klasse. Die Lage des Hotels war recht gut wenn man es ruhig mag. ca. 1 std Busfahrt vom Art Deco Viertel entfernt. Das einzige was wirklich sehr positiv war waren die Concierges. Die Jungs waren wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sehr nett und engagiert (zumindest die meisten) Alles in allem hatten wir zwar eine schöne Zeit und abgesehen vom Schrank inneren konnte man gut mit dem Hotelzimmer leben, nochmal würde ich dieses Hotel allerdings nicht besuchen. "Fern vom Art Deco Viertel, aber ruhig"
wir waren mit der Wahl unseres Hotels rundum zufrieden. man fährt zwar ca. 35 min bis ins Art Deco Viertel, zahlt dafür aber einen angenehmen Übernachtungspreis. Hotel ist Prima, Frühstück Klasse. Der Frühstücksraum und die im Hotel vorhandene Bar sind sicher keine Augenweide und schon etwas älter. Aber die findet man in Maimi Beach und Umgebung im […] Überfluss an anderen Stellen. Das Hotel hat einen direkten Zugang zum traumhaften Strand, an dem das Hotelpersonal etwas netter die Liegen vermieten könnte. Aber auch hier fühlten wir uns gut aufgehoben. Mehr
"Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre weit hinter sich"
Wir waren nur 2 Tage dort (Durchreise bei unserem Florida Trip). Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung- die restlichen Hoteleinrichtungen überaltert und abgewohnt. Der Strand ist OK wie fast überall am North Beach. Fazit: Muss nicht sein!

Die Empfangshalle ist beeindruckend, ansonsten ist das Hotel schon etwas abgewohnt. Das von uns gebuchte Doppelzimmer mit 2 Kingsizebetten war geräumig, die Einrichtung eher zusammengewürfelt aber mit Küchenzeile. Deutsche Sauberkeit darf man nicht erwarten, Ecken und Kanten werden wohl beim Putzen übersehen. Die Betten und Handtücher waren o.k.. Das […] Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, außerdem gibt es einen Salzwasserpool. Im Untergeschoß des Hotels gibt es eine Pizzeria, war o.k. aber auch hier sollte man nicht so genau in die Ecken sehen. Kontinentales Frühstück war ausreichend zum Sattwerden (etwas Obst, Kuchen, Beagles, Butter, Marmelade, Müsli), aber nichts Besonderes (wer Wurst oder Käse erwartet, wird enttäuscht) . Der Parkservice kostet extra 15$ die Nacht, eine zusätzliche Resortgebühr 10$ pro Zimmer für die Nutzung von Pool und Fitnessbereich fällt an . Für 2 Nächte war das Hotel ausreichend - allerdings haben wir in Florida bei vor Ort Buchung wesentlich schöner und günstiger geschlafen. Mehr

I was disappointed about my stay at this hotel since I was not aware and I was not informed about the high parking prices, plus the weather was horrible. Did not get to enjoy my stay at the hotel at all.

The only cons we had was we were assigned to the wrong room & the room was a mess, but they gave us a much better room; the day of check-out, the toilet didn't flush well & caused a flood in the room, but the hotel has such an amazing staff & they took care of everything. Now to the PROS... In all of my stays at […] different hotels, Marco Polo Beach Resort has earned a top spot! If you're going to Miami for the beach, MPBR is the perfect place to stay at! You step out to the pool area & the beach is right there; the resort is LITERALLY on the beach! I wish we would've stayed here for more than 1 night, but the enjoyment we got from one night is enough to make us keep coming back in the future! Also, the price of the room we paid for the weekend we stayed... BEST DEAL IN MIAMI! Do not hesitate to book a room here; you'll be pleasantly surprised with this place. "Confusing Info when booking"
Marco Polo - Ramada (Miami) - good location, facilities - OK. Problems: when I booked, the website did not inform me on resort charges ($10 per day), though said 'taxes and resort fees included'. I'd prefer to know all my charges in advance when I do booking, not when I arrive to the hotel. Also, the last day before Passover, the continental breakfest […] included only cerial and frutes, no bread, no eggs, no cheese... The website warn that food outlets are closed before Passover, but, in my opinion, the hotel should provide continental breakfest, if it's included in the price. BR, Alex Mehr

This hotel was nothing it claimed to be. Our room was fit for perhaps drunken spring breakers. It smelled musty and was not clean. I complained and we were transferred to a room that was at least clean. The entire hotel smelled a bit like hair permanent. We stayed at the Marco Polo for only 1 night upon returning from a cruise. They were able to accomodate us and checked us in very early which was extremely helpful since we were travelling with 2 young children. Our room was very large and had a nice kitchenette. We were pleasantly surprised because there was a lot of renovating going on in the lobby […] / lower levels. It is in a very nice neighborhood with many restaurants / shops in walking distance. The hotel is, comparable with other hotels in Miami, Beach very good.. The Music on the Poolside is terrible - Techno Bronx House etc. - nothing for people over 30. The staff on the Registration Welcome Desk is not very friendly and slow. Sometimes we waited for the Car (Valet Service) until 35 minutes - a problem if you have appointments. "Marco Polo Hotel1902 Collins Ave - N Miami Beach"
The air conditioning sounded like a lawn mower with very poor maintenance. The breakfast tray and all its smells of onions was not collected from our room until we returned to the room at 10pm when we placed the tray in the corridor. It was still there at 9am in the morning.

"Nice pool personnel"
The bed was very comfortable. The hotel personnel were nice. The dinner service was awful. Way to expensive. The pizza was delicious...I wish they would have let me know 18.00 for parking. And 18.00 for valet.

There were additional fees that showed up when we checked in. Towel fees were one. The windows were filthy. I would not recommend staying here.

Chairs, umbrellas and towels on the pool deck are part of the resort fee. Services provided on the beach are managed by an outside company and the pool personnel instructions the patrons prior to issuing the amenities. Shower leaked all night after attemped repair. AC gave out during nite. Retrival of valet parking at 7:45 Am took 30 minutes with onlly 2 ahead of me..Staff nice.

Hotel is good staff are friendly. Hotel is old and you can feel and smell it. The pool is good not heated though. It wascold. The beach location is the best. Close to every thing you would need. The breakfirst isnot thatgreat. I would stay here again.
"Distant location"
Took almoust 45 minutes by bus to south beach! Not European-quality hotel, poor breakfast (not a single vegetable or piece of cold cuts or cheese).
"Howling windows"
Wall to wall windows offer a great albeit smeared. IWW of the ocean but the windows leaked so bad they whistled and howled with the wind all night. Yes the wind was blowing but not like the gale force that it sounded like. Slept sporadically. Gritty floors. Red mold stains (I refuse to assume it was blood) were scattered around the bathroom walls and […] floor. As to the staff, it wasn't their job to help us (apparently). Breakfast buffet was so bad (and non accomadating for gluten and lactose conditions) that we didn't stay beyond 8am. No bedbugs in our bed anyway). Mehr

The Marco Polo can be a noisy place. the walls between the rooms will transmit sound clearly. The large pool is heated but I could not swim laps even when I was the only swimmer in the pool. The pool is devided with a rope. Public places such as Lobby, restaurant and night club decore are frozen in the 1950's. But I like the place and I will return. "Service"
The hotel help was outstanding and very resourceful as for as giving me as a springbreaker. A mother of two teenage boys we had an experience that we would never forget. Everyone was very friendly.

"Bad Service"
The front desk staff needs a major refresher course in customer service. 3 staff members were helping two people (one was probably being trained) however I had to wait 10-15 minutes just to get my key recoded. Additionally, there was a fire alarm on my floor-had to go down 11 flights of stairs only to find out that it was a drill/error. No apologies […] or explanations. Are you kidding me? those rooms need a realy new make over A..C. SOO NOICE have a big leak have to put some towels on the floor so I don fell CANT, GET TO SLEEP. AND TO TOP OF ALL THIS HIDEN PRICES ONCE I REGISTER IN.

Great spot needs alot of work lots of hidden charges and undelivered services Desk help are not well trained Valet great house keeping cheerfull Most staff had trouble. With english I wanted to like the place but would not stay again

I stayed a week at this hotel and had a very pleasant experience. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Recently renovated so rooms and all facilities very nice and clean. Rooms have kitchenettes which is great if you have special diet, kids, or just want the option not to eat out all the time. There is a charge for parking which has become the norm in these […] hotels but the good thing is that if you have guests they can park all day for only $8. Continental breakfast was ok. Great location on the beach and close to restaurants, shops, a big mall, etc. If you are Jewish and observant they have an Orthodox Synagogue right on the premises and many Kosher restaurants in the area. "Smelly, Dirty, and GROSS Marco Polo Beach Resort"
My stay at this hotel was terrible from start to finish. When I first arrived the front desk staff did not greet at all in fact she didn't even acknowledge me until she was done doing whatever she was doing. Then when I got to my room I was disappointed that the room smelled very bad and the temperature was freezing cold and the thermometer would not […] change. After being there for a few minutes the maid showed up to clean the room and was very confused as to why I was checked in already, it was around 5:00 pm at this point. Then a couple hours later I got a phone call from the front desk saying the previous guest left something in the safe and they needed to come get it, which was fine if they would have just come up to the room and taken care of it but no they had me wait an addition 40 minutes before showing up to take care of that! The next morning I went down for the free breakfast. I have never seen anything like that before in all of my travels. The dining room was dirty, dingy, and just gross and there was no water for the guests and their version of breakfast was soggy and runny eggs and your choice of either toast or bagel with coffee. By far the worst experience. Will never go there again and encourage everyone else to find another hotel! Mehr

If you should stay at this hotel make sure you ask for a romm in the back of the hotel. We had a day early check in and our reserved room wasn't available. They put us in a room on the side of the hotel and the noise from the street was terrible. The windows are really thin a you hear everything. "Would Avoid if Possible"
Hotel lobby, pool area and other common areas are okay and maintained; however, the rooms are majorly outdated, not so clean and have cheap bedding. There seemed to be an overwhelming musky odor throughout the entire floor I was on and through another three floors below mine. I only know this because none of the ice machines worked and I had to go […] through four floors to finally find one that did. Most of the staff was very good, helpful and or eager too. I booked this through Hotels.com do I tjought all was paid for except at time of check out I was given a bill for an adfitional amont for amenities and daily charge but yet I had not used anything other than just my room. At that point it wasn't the money but rather the principal of the matter. So whatever I saved by using Hotels.com I ended up giving it back at checkout. Only if I absolutely had to stay there again would I. If not I will play it safe and go to a Mariott. Mehr

I will say that the best part of our stay was the big bed and nice matress. that was a plus. and the pizza place downstairs near the little shops was nice. i will say from the outside the hotel looks good. the inner part of the hotel needs to be moderized a bit more. Waited in line for 20 minuts to check in; Waited in line 15 minutes to check out; Paid an exorbitant fee to make two long distance phone calls; Construction going on, very messy in areas. Charged $10 per day per room at check in for an entertainment fee, it did cover a limited breakfast buffet.
"Marco polo hotel"
I stayed there for new year vacation for 5 nights. The hotel has not been upgrade. outside has been recently painted. the windows are from 60's . The location is pretty good. the people attending tables at breakfast were not friendly .price of the rooms were OK. I really liked the big room we were in.

We stayed at the resort for 1 night on the way down to Key Largo. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, gave out candy and mini muffins during Christmas break.
