Castille Paris - Paris

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Shopping ebenfalls im gehobenen Segment um die Ecke in der Rue de St. Honore möglich. Leider war gerade die Klimaanlage ausgefallen. Die Störung sollte aber behoben werden. Der Frühstücksraum ist etwas eng, der Innenhof sehr schön gestaltet.

Schönes Hotel, gute Lage, aber Zimmer zur Straße teilweise sehr laut. Gegenüber dem Hotel ist der Hintereingang des Ritz (die Straße über welche Lady Di 1997 in den Tod flüchtete) und hier wurde mehrmals in der Nacht Ware so laut entladen, dass man aus dem Schlaf gerissen wurde. Daher besser nach Zimmern nicht zur Straße hin fragen

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wurden freundlch empfangen und beraten - insbesondere haben wir vom Concierge ausgezeichnete Empfehlungen für Restaurants erhalte, die genau unserem Geschmack entspachen.

Great location, access to all the necessary sights of Paris! Right next door to the original Chanel Store! Great front desk service!

We have stay at Castille many times. We like the location. The rates are affordable. There are a few issues. It would be nice if they ever remember we are returning guest. The Internet has problems most of the time.

The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location is very central, can walk to most attractions. I will stay there again next time I go to Paris.

I have stayed here before and was pleased again. I recommend requesting a newly renovated room. Breakfast is excellent, good service.On disappointment , unable to purchase tickets to museums through hotel to avoid long lines.

We arrived at Castille around 13h00 local time but our room wasn't ready and the staff were not really overly helpful. after this first mishap however our stay in Castille was quite good. The location of the hotel is the address to be!! everything is within a walking distance, the Lourve, Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower, we even walked to the Arch de Triomphe […] and the Notre Dame. Rue St Honore is just around the corner for amazing shopping. Across the road is the legendary Hemingways Bar at the Ritz Hotel and you cant leave Paris without having one of their snazzy cocktails. Castille has the softest feather beds and you are guaranteed a good snooze. the hotel restaurant serves fine italian cuisine. I would stay at Castille again just for location if no other reason.. The Castille Paris was a very comfortable, well appointed hotel in a great location in Paris. It was close to the Louvre & the Tuileries Gardens, & set in the fashion district so great shopping opportunities available! There was also a bike rental location close by. The hotel restaurant was not available for our whole stay sadly, as it was Easter...strange […] in a expensive hotel! The bar was expensive but the barman friendly, the breakfast very nice but extortionately priced. Definitely a hotel we would recommend though. Mehr

Pleasant hotel in the heart of Paris. Convenient location near Rue St Honore and Place Vantome.

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location in Paris. Close to metro, close to Louvre, close to great restaurants and shops. I will stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Paris.

This hotel is nice and in a great location. Unfortunately my experience was soured when I was given a small, standard room, when I reserved a superior room. But they said that since I made my reservation on the internet, I got a discounted room price and that is all I get for the money. They did offer to move me to another room. But I was offended by […] the fact that the receptionist gave me a standard room when the reservation was for a superior room without bothering to tell me about it. I had to ask, because I have been in Paris enough times and stayed in many hotels, and I know the different room types. It should not matter how you made your reservation. Therefore I will not stay there again. Otherwise the hotel is nice, some employees more helpful than others and, as I said, the location is great. Mehr

Concierge was very helpful on directions and finding great resturants. Bartenders in lounge were great. Everyone was really great! We will return.

that should have been done in the dead of winter, not in the height of Paris's spring season. The hotel is very worn and not up to par. All main areas need painting and furniture restoration. The rooms (we saw at least 6) were not very clean. Wood floors need restoration, mold in showers, holes in curtains, etc. The only rooms that have been recently […] renovated are the Jr. Suites. The courtyards that are centered in the middle of the hotel and which rooms/restaurant overlook are torn up in renovation (in spring??). In addition, their main restaurant is closed on weekends, not very convienent for overseas travelers. The only saving grace to this hotel currently, is the front desk staff -- friendly,and courteous. Castille is conveniently located. I would recommend guests who are interested to book at least the delux room or a suite. We had booked a superior room and it was smaller than other hotels in the area with the same range rate. The carpet was stained and dirty but the bathroom was clean and nicely renovated.

This little boutique hotel was exquisite in every way. A lovely little lounge/bar area was at the ready for prompt service day or night. Benoit, the concierge, was outstanding! I had high expectations for this hotel, based on other reviews I read on this site. But I don't think the Castille stacks up. We had a "Superior Room" which was supposed to be a step up from the "Classic Room." Given how tiny the room was and how poorly maintained it was, I wondered how bad the classic rooms were. The carpeting was stained and filthy, […] the paint was chipped and scratched, esp. at corners, and the bathroom just never felt clean. I had to call Housekeeping to complain about how poor the daily upkeep was. They did improve once I complained, but it disturbed me to have to complain at all, esp at the rates we were paying. I travel all over the world, and I can't remember the last time I complained about the housekeeping. To be fair, the staff was very friendly and accomodating, and the location of this hotel is terrific. But I will try a different hotel next time. Mehr

This hotel has a great location. It is central to Madeleine, Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Metro, Champs Elysee, restaurants, high end shops, supermarket, pharmacy, banks etc, all 3-10 minutes walk away. Thankfully it is on a nice quiet street (one back from the Madeleine boulevard). We had a deluxe room and it was very clean comfortable and had a small balcony […] to 'let Paris in'. The deluxe room was larger then you normally get in Paris and value for money via hotels.com. If I have a slight complain - we both found the bed too soft compared to the Heavenly beds at the Westin and the Sofitel beds. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Every interaction from reception, to housekeeping to bell captain was a pleasant one. They all spoke very good english and we would stay again because of the location, staff, room size and value for money. We went to Versailles - which is on the Madeleine metro line. From the Gare DuNord (Eurostar station), it was a very easy metro ride on the 14 and then 4 lines. You need coins though - lots of them for Paris, as the ticket machines often dont work to accept paper-money and the booth people are never as very helpful. Mehr

My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay here. The interior design was a chique, Italian style. We were on and a half blocks from the Rue de Rivoli, and two blocks from three metro stops, and Place Vendome. The restaurant has a great reputation amongst locals. Although the food was expensive, it was pricey everywhere. A cup of cappuccino went from […] $6.00-11.00, and a coke at $5.00 at a subway. We were pleased with the room price and stay. Mehr

The hotel is quite nice, clean, and comfortable. However, the real highlight is its location. You don't want to stay in your hotel while in Paris, you want to explore and Castille Paris is perfectly located for this. I loved my stay and will definitely be staying here again next time I come to town. Which will hopefully be soon.

Hotel Castille is on Rue Cambon - across the street from the rear entrance to the Ritz and next to Chanel. Easy access by foot, metro and RER to anywhere in Paris - and just off the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré for top shopping. But better than all of that - the staff is amazingly warm, helpful, friendly - from the doorman on arrival to the room service […] to the breakfast buffet staff and Concierge. Our single room had 2 double beds and a requested single foldout - for myself and two teens. Very comfortable -plenty of space. Internet worked great. It felt like a high-end hotel for a much more affordable rate, and seemed quite 'private', boutique. Loved the breakfast in the morning -generous buffet with many choices. Great coffee. Very friendly lounge service- they made special non-alcoholic cocktails for the teens to enjoy with my as I sipped champagne. They always greeted me by name. I recommend the Castille to anyone - and when we return to Paris - I plan to stay there again. Mehr

The downside: We originally had a room that smelled of smoke, but the hotel staff were more then accommodating in moving us to a better ventilated room. TBH I think, people are smoking in there rooms and its coming through the air com. No free wifi. On the upside: The staff were really really friendly and helpful and this is the main reason I would […] recommend a stay. They were great for giving tips and advise on what to see and do and answered all our questions immediately. The hotel was right next the original Chanel shop - a must see for fashions lovers. And it was relatively near to everything so no complaints. The room was small, but very very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel, I loved the decor and the staff were top class. I have stayed at many different hotels in Paris but this is my absolute favorite. It's small and intimate, and boasts an extraordinarily beautiful Venetian-inspired lobby and lovely rooms. It's very near everything I want to see in Paris -- the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Pompidou Museum, the Madeleine -- and not far from Notre Dame, Le Marais, great shops […] andd restaurants. In fact, Channel is next door and the lovely rue St. Honore at the corner. The hotel also has one of the best Italian restaurants in Paris, Il Cortile. The very nearby Marche St. Honore has at least a dozen restaurants and the Rue de Rivoli is also closeby with its hotels, shops, art galleries. I definitely will return. Mehr

We were very pleased with the Castille. It was in the perfect location for visiting all the sites in Paris. We could easily walk to the Louvre and the Orsay Museums. We also walked to Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle. The metro stop was just a couple of blocks away... very easy access to anything we wanted to see. Lots of restaurants and cafes close by. […] Lots of (expensive) shopping all around. But the very best part of the hotel was our bed... it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in my entire life!! The room was a bit small, but large by European standards. The staff was always very helpful and spoke English very well. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I ever returned. Mehr

This hotel's location and the excellent quality of the staff never disappoint. The deluxe rooms (thats their standard room) are DEFINETLY too small. 2 persons with suitcases and you can't swing a cat anymore. I stayed once on the slightly bigger ones, they are acceptable.

I took my two childiren (both under 13) to Paris and England over the Thanksgiving break and wanted to make their first visit to Paris a truly memorable one, knowing that a bad hotel would immediately disappoint us all and leave the wrong impression. With the aid of a Hotels.com advisor who had stayed at this hotel, I chose the Castille over the Regina. […] Our expectations were not only met but surpassed from the moment we were greeted at reception to the final departure three days and nights later. The kids "loved" the hotel - the location was perfect to walk to all the main sights, the room was spacious and beautifully decorated in true classic parisian taste, the king bed and single bed were both very comfortable (and completely as ordered), we each had a fluffy bathrobe and lots of thick, soft towels, plenty of space to unpack and the breakfast was a feast. Our visit to this great city was enhanced as a result of this hotel and I would definitely stay there again. Mehr

The hotel is in a very nice part of town. The lobby is very calm and well maintained. The reception and all staff were very polite and helpful throughout our stay. We needed assistance at various times and they could not have been more accommodating. The room itself was very nice. Quite small but as expected for Paris. For a 4 star hotel, I would say […] that the condition of the room could have been slightly better maintained e.g. there was the odd bit of peeling wallpaper. But these were small things and overall the experience was very satisfactory. Mehr

My fifth stay at the Castille in the last year. Great location. Excellent restaurant. Friendly service and efficient concierge. Not cheap but good value. Two annoyances. No plug in the bathroom for my curling iron and they provide a combination body wash/shampoo that definitely isn't a shampoo.

For the price, this was a terrific hotel. The accommodations were very nice, clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would be happy to stay there again.

All the staff we met were extremely polite and professional. Breakfast was fairly expensive however everything in Paris seems to be expensive. Great location close to the Louvre & Place de la Concorde. If we were forced to write down all the negatives they are: one of the lift floor lights was broken and the pop-up plug in the bath didn't open properly […] (easily fixed by removing the plug). Our room was on the third floor at the front and we were woken early on two mornings by the bin men, also there was no tea or coffee in the room, had to order that from room service and was very pricey. Apart from that, everything was excellent! No iron in the room, but a request at the front desk had an iron and board delivered to the room within five minutes. The bed was superb. The air conditioning although a little bit noisy was very welcome when the temperature outside was high. One nice touch with the obligatory bed turn down service was a weather forecast for the following day, which during our short stay was always accurate. Mehr

What we loved about the hotel the most was the cozy feeling. This is not your typical hotel. Our room felt more like a small apartment since it had two levels. The two couches were made up by the staff every night at 7pm into single beds for our two kids. The kids loved sleeping in these beds. The master bedroom is on the second level. Each floor had […] it's own full bathroom, including large showers. The staff was great and very helpful, including the restaurant staff. The location was terrific. It's near all top of the line stores, near all the sites, two blocks from a great baguette shop called Manon, and a couple hundred meters from a small grocery store. Mehr

I chose this hotel based on the previous reviews that I read about it. The reviews were absolutely spot on. Great location, great service and a nice quiet room.. For a high quality stay in the thick of the action, stay at Castille...

The Castille is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of the shopping district, very close to the Concorde, the Opera and the Madeline. It's a bit pricey, but very comfortable, quaint and beautifully situated. Hotel restaurant is excellent - worth a night in.

My mother and I arrived from Guard du Nord via taxi and were greeted upon arrival. Our superior room was large enough for the both of us and had a seperate shower and toliet . Nicely decorated and the beds were dreamy with soft white down comforters. The hotel is within walking distance to the Louvre and lots of designer stores. The metro is equally […] close. Our room over looked Rue de Cambon and suprisingly there was no noise from the street present in the room. We sampled the morning breakfast which was good but would recommend getting breakfast along the Rue Rivoli for a lower cost. The restaurant the italian restaurant was very good and offered wonderful wines. Mehr

On check we were met by a senior staff member who explained that our two rooms booked were unavailable and we were to be downgraded. We were compensated with a credit and free breakfast and internet. Just had a great short stay at this hotel. From the minute I arrived the service was impeccable. The hotel is very nicely decorated, the room a good size with plenty of wardrobe space and nice marble bathroom (with bath!) and separate toilet. Location is literally next-door to Chanel on Rue Cambon and perfectly located for shopping and for seeing many […] of the Parisian sights. Got a fabulous deal with Hotels.com so it worked out at great value. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful hotel but who maybe can't stretch to 5star prices. Mehr
