Ramada Limited Downtown - San Antonio

Upon entering the room, the smell of smoke in what was suppose to be a non-smoking room gave me a head ache and caused my nose to burn. The hotel clerk said they were booked up so I kept my room , also knowing there was noo refund. There was only one face towel in the room, requested another only to receive it the next day. The staff was very nice and there was a breakfast and thus for the price, I may do it again. Strange. My room had been reassigned and the new party never reported it. It was obvious as my clothes and toiletries were right there. I was moved to a much cleaner room without the stale smoke smell as in the first room. Clean and definitely worth the price. The maid service was very prompt and nice. It served it's purpose for the couple of days I was in town.

Definately needs a facelift and the staff is a little slow when you need something in your room. The bathrooms were scary and there was a suspicious spot on the wall that appeared to be blood but I dont know that for sure and the tv had fuzzy reception with cable. Very basic room. BUT..the sheets were clean and fresh and the room didnt have any strange […] odors. It served its purpose for a place to sleep. Mehr

This hotel is not for the picky. Started off finding stains (like bodily fluids!!) on the bed and lots and lots of hair in the blankets. Got new sheets and put them on. Needed a cheap place to stay since we were working out there and put up with this place. There was hookers there at all hours of the night, people screaming, slamming doors ect. We cleaned […] our own rooms never letting room service clean them checked the sheets to make sure they were clean and made the bed. Bought lysol and other cleaning products and lots and lots of febreeze. Then went to wash clothes and found that someone had did the restroom in the washer !! They did #2 in the washer can you believe that!!! GROSS!! Booked somewhere else. Overall managers nice but the people just mistreat the hotel and i don't recommend it if you want to have a relaxing nice stay. Not a 2 star hotel barely a 1.. Mehr

This hotel is a horrable place to stay. When we got there we found bed bugs and moths all over the place. When we told the manager he told us to just get out. I would not reccomend this place at all.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Internet and breakfast are included in the price. The hotel is conveniently located close to a major highway without noise being a problem. I chose this hotel for it's very competitive price and got exactly what I needed. A cheap but comfortable stay.

The hotel is reasonably priced , very basic and close and center of San Antonio Texas

This Hotel was very old and needed alot of repairs and a new face lift, also the sign off the freeway was so faded we kept missing the hotel since we couldn't see the sign. The hotel served it's purpose and staff was very nice, especially John and Jerry. I would only stay their because of the price. We cancelled our reservation as soon as we got to the hotel parking lot. I guess I don't have to say anything else. The surrounding area looks like the set for a gangland episode.

Definately not the hotel in the pictures so don't let them fool you. Carpet was original from the 80's, worn almost all the way down with who knows what growing in it. They allow animals too, so that made the carpet stink worse. Room stunk of body odor and mildew. My allergies flared up ever time we came back to the room. AC shut off/froze up and dripped […] rather than cooled the room all night the first night. They came and promptly fixed the next morning. Service was good/nice but that is about it. Limited in maintenance and offerings. Room carpet was attrocious. Room was stinky. Air Conditioner cover fell off the moment I touched it. Smoke detector hanging from ceiling wires. The bed had a sink in it. There was no refrigrator in the room. I was able to get a microwave. The room was a double. The second bed had blood on the comforter and the blanket. I found a good bread store around the corner to the right.

I arrived at the hotel, not in the best location. Riverwalk was a $10 taxi ride. Management controls the A/C, at night we woke up because of the heat & stuffyness of the room. Hotels.com charged my charge card in advance, as they always do. The hotel also charged my card after I told them I already paid for the room. Now I am in the process of getting […] my money back, yes, I know, good luck!!. Since I paid double, It would have been alot cheaper on the riverwalk in a much nicer room. I was very satisfied with the stay... We had really good waffles in the morning... there was no orange juice that's the only thing.. other than that the room was good they had enough pillows, towels, shampoo, coffee, all your basics in the room without asking... I was able to use the Wifi with out calling them it easily connected. Satisfied, I will […] stay there again! Mehr

The management of the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. Overall I was pleased. Close to all the downtown attractions.

The hotel room was digusting. The carpet is filthy, the bed springs were exposed with stains all over, and overall unforcomfortable atmosphere. When booked, the hotel reservation was unrefundable. I can see why now. People might call immediately to cancel reservations when they see the place. Pictures of hotel are deceiving.

About a mile from the Riverwalk. Hotel is showing its age but is still an alright value.

I would have felt more comfortable in the projects of brooklyn, every night someone came by my door and throw menus in my room, it was scary the first time it happened because I had no Idea why someone would be outside of my room. The area was run down, the maid service still entered my room even though i had the do not disturb sign on my door. It took […] me about 15min to get someone to help me at the front door while checking in and it would not have been an issue however it was 1:30am and I was not comfortable with the area. When my husband and I planned our trip to Waco for thanksgiving we decided we would stop over in San Antonio to visit family. We wanted to stay in a Ramada because we had stayed in several before, and they were always quite nice and reasonably priced, so it only seemed fitting that we stay in another one. They would repeatedly tell me that their computer system was down and to call back in a half hour. I thought it was pretty coincidental that their computer system was so terrible every time I would call. Hotels.com was very very helpful, but the hotel itself I could have done without. My husband and I will never ever stay at that hotel again. The room was fine, and clean (although the shower would spit out scolding hot water every 2 minutes), but it wasn't worth the hassle of having to constantly call back. The staff in the front desk is definitely lacking in professionalism. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

We chose this for location and convenience and the reasonable rates. I would consider this a low-mid end motor lodge. It was listed as a Riverwalk hotel, although it is not walkable by distance or quality of surrounding area. Rooms were modest but clean and comfortable bed. Coffee service and free wifi provided. However, outside noise isolation was […] poor and our unit had a noise A/C unit that disrupted our sleep. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The room was ok, it was old and outdated and smelled kind of funny, but the bed was very comfortable. The tv worked ok, did not have anything other than basic cable. The neighborhood its in is not the best, but you get what u pay for. If you have low expectations and just want a comfortable bed in which to sleep close to downtown, this is the place. We asked for a non-smoking room, and apparently the room only recently made the switch as it reeked of stale smoke. Checkout time was posted as noon, and the key stopped working at 11:15, and the front desk insited checkout was 11 (it […] was noon on my reservation, in the room, and posted at the checkin desk). The hotel was decent with a big soft bed and tons of pillows! The breakfast was just okay but a helpful money saver overall. The location was not quite close enough to the riverwalk and we usually don't mind a long walk. The shower was a bit funky but overall everything was as good as expected.

THE SURROUNDING NOT THAT GREAT ROOM HAD A FUNNY SMELL OTHER THAN THAT IT ALRIGHT TEN TWENTY DOLLARS MORE COULD STAY AT A BETTER HOTEL

The location was convenient for access to I-35 both North and South bound. The best part of the hotel is the manager, he was very friendly and has been there for a while, he directed me to some interesting areas of the local neighborhood which has some significant historical value. The Hotel is listed as a place in the walking distance to the River Walk area. But it looks unsafe to walk in the night. The manager was very friendly in serving the breakfast.

I am used to staying right by the Alamo when I go through San Antonio. This time, I was a bit more of a tight budget than other times and the price was right for this place. Front desk guy was polite and very informative. Gave me a first floor room like I requested. The room was nice and big and so was the bed and bathroom. Very clean and quiet. The […] Rivercenter was not that far of a drive, and the front desk gave me directions on how to get there and back. This isn't the Ritz. Some of the reviews here are pretty bad, I honestly didn't have the same experience as a lot of other people here. For being a two star and for the price, this hotel was just right. I even ordered Pizza from one of the flyers on my door and it was great. Depending on my budget next time I drive cross country, I'll consider staying here again if I need to same myself some money. After booking my room I read all the bad remarks about this hotel and I wanted to cancel. I keep the hotel and stayed there for two nights and had no problems. The room was ok. The breakfast just opened late. 7am. instead of at 6am like most hotels. Not a bad price for a place to sleep.

This hotel is in a very dangerous location. Not located in downtown like the name says! The comforter was stained with blood and urin. The smoke alarm started beeping because of a low battery. Hotel managment was very nice and helpful. We has specificed a nonsmoking room which we did receive but apparently the last person who stayed there smoked in the room. They very quickly sent us to another room closer to relatives who has also had gone with us. We will certainly stay there again.

We were very disappointed to the extremely rude service we received at this hotel. There was only one gentlemen who was polite. We stayed for three days and met several office personal and they were rude. They made you feel like you were disturbing them by asking any questions or interrupting their continous telephone conversations. I will have to say […] the rroms were clean. However, the other guests seemed to be a little rough. We came in on a Thursday night and upstairs they were having some kind of party with people standing outside the room and a lot of beer cans laying around.
