Das Hotel liegt inmitten eines sehr lebendigen Markviertels, was nicht gleichbedeutend mit laut zu setzen ist. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten KLs sind fußläufig oder für wenige Ringgit per Taxi erreichbar. Zum Frühstück serviert man eher Landestypische Kost, ergänzt um kontinentale Elemente. Ausflüge können über einen kleinen Stand neben der Rezeption gebucht werden. Leider nur kostenpflichtiges WIFI verfügbar.

die Lage direkt am KLCC ist super. Die U-Bahn hält fast vor der Tür. Die Zimmer sind dauber und in Ordnung; auch wenn das Mobiliar nicht mehr ganz neu ist. Wirklich störend finde ich die fehlende Schallisolierung der Fenster. Die einfache Verglasung dämpft den Strassenlärm kaum. Ansonsten Personal freundlich und Service incl. Frühstück gut.

Für nur eine Nacht als Zwischenstation war das Hotel eine sehr gute und preisgünstige Wahl. Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel waren für malaiische Verhältnisse gewohnt freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ideal ist die nah gelegene MRT-Station. Die Umgebung bzw. der Ausblick ist nicht besonders schön und für die Nacht sind aufgrund der stark befahrenen Straße Ohrstöpsel empfehlenswert. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig, aber arg klein. Ein Safe ist im Zimmer vorhanden. An der Duschabtrennung fehlt eine Tür oder ein Vorhang; dadurch war nach dem Duschen das WC und der komplette Boden im kleinen Bad komplett nass.

"Super zentrale Lage"
Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und würden dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder buchen. Wir hatten das Horizon-Executive Zimmer mit dem Club gebucht. Dort gab es ein wunderbares Frühstück in ruhiger Atmosphäre und auch ansonsten nachmittags Kaffee und Kuchen und abends eine Cocktailstunde mit Snacks. Ein Hotel welches man uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen kann. Ein Frühstücksbuffet, dass seines gleichen sucht; unbedingt genügt Zeit einplanen.

Das Shangri-La liegt sowohl 5-10 Gehminuten von den Petronas Towers als auch der Pavillon Shopping-Mall in Bintang entfernt. Ausgehmoeglichkeiten wie Steakhouse und Hardrockcafe, aber auch Beach Club direkt nebenan. "Super Hotel mitten in KL"
Das Hotel liegt gut gelegen mitten im Zentrum nur wenige Minuten zu Fuss von den Petronas Towers. Das gesamte Personal war immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Eingangsbereich und die Lobby super schön und grosszügig. Das Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet jedoch relativ klein, im Badezimmer hatten wir etwas Platzprobleme um überhaupt all […] unsere Gegenstände irgendwo hin zu legen. W'aehrend meines Aufenthaltes fuer drei Naechte gabe es nichts zu bemaengeln. von Das beste Hotel bei meiner Reise durch Malaysia. Der Service ist aussergewoehnlich, wofuer die Shangri=La Hotelgruppe ja bekannt ist. Einziger Minuspunkt fuer den Bereich des Swimmingpools, der etwas groesser und sonniger sein koennte.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel because we read that the dinner buffet in Lemon Garden was good. After having the buffet lunch, we decided to give the dinner a miss. The breakfast spread had a lot of variety but I wouldn't say that the food was really tasty. Just ordinary. Would prefer to venture out into the capital to try the local hawker fare. The […] pool was a little small. Overcrowded with kids. No chance of doing laps. The lush green environment was nice but bring along your insect repellent. Overall, I think the rooms are reasonable for the price. Perhaps I'll try out other 5 star hotels in the area next time if the prices don't differ much. Mehr

Excellent location in relation to the city. The service from staff was awesome after spending 3 weeks in Italy. Room was small but very comfortable. Finally a King Size bed. Huge and powerful shower. You MUST try the"all you can eat" buffet. I stood there bug eyed at all the food. Truly awesome. The only negative is the Kuala Lumpur CBD is a long way […] from the airport. Over 80kms I think. The hotel where everything is working. It was a sheer pleasure to stay there again. The serving of breakfast had amazing selctions but very crowded. Internet functioned very well in the room and the service thereof was impeccable. A pulsating nightlife is just around the corner.

A very friendly hotel with all the features you would expect of five stars, but no stuffiness! Good food, helpful staff, good value for money in central KL.

We needed to have an extra one-night stay in KL and decided to book the Shangri-La as it seemed to offer luxury for the price that you often pay for an ordinary 3-4 star hotel night in the Europe. Only drawback is that the hotel is a bit far from especially the main shopping venues. It's also just on the other side of what looks like a "ring road" - 4-5 lanes going to both ways. The traffic light system in KL really isn't efficient at all and you'll be waiting for ages just to pass the road and head for the city. this hotel is unbelievable. starting from the lobby to check in, room service, until check out. all is great.. since this is a 5 star hotel, we get a 5 star service and it is to be expected.. but it's trully recommeded.. breakfast n lunch at the lemon green cafe is trully beyond words.. u have to try it your self...

I am very happy with the staff, reception, environment and the cleanliness of the hotel from looby to the room. The environment is superb and make you feel fresh at all time. The location is strategic and easy to move around.

Not impressive from outside but very beautiful inside.Tastefully decorated, an air of luxury and comfort. Food was very good and reasonably priced.Excellent service from the staff. The only negative was the small room looking out to a multistoried parking garage. A hotel of this calibre should not have a room like this.
