The hotel is located outside the city centre but with excellent transport possibilities. The bus station is just few meters from the hotel and you reach the city centre within 12 minutes. The hotel reception has bus tickets which can be purchased drectly from them. Also the hotel has its own shuttle service few times per day. We never used it as the […] bus offered us a more suitable timetable. The room we had offered a lot of space, it was very clean and quite, although our room-window faced the main street. Doubled-glass windows. The service at the hotel was extremely friendly but natural. We missed to inform them that my wife had a lactose intolerance and therefore dairy free products were required.At no extra charge immediately lactose-free products were organised and we were informed right away about those products at the buffet which contained lactose. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was first quality. The cook deserves praise. All in all, we can recommend this hotel. Sure we will go back the next time we are in Florence. Mehr

Das Hotel inkl. Frühstück ist rundum zu empfehlen, wenn einem die 15 min. Bus in die Innenstadt bzw. 12 € Taxirechnung für die nächtliche Heimfahrt nichts ausmachen. Wirklich sehr schön, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Nicht gerade zentral, aber mit dem Bus ist die City schnell zu erreichen - wer sich von der hässlichen Fassade nicht abschrecken lässt, findet dahinter ein wunderschönes, gemütliches, zugleich sehr stilvolles und hochwertiges Stadthotel. Wir kommen wieder!

Zimmer und Bad waren sehr ansprechend eingerichtet, das Frühstück gut und reichhaltig und die Verkehrsanbindung zum Zentrum sehr gut (der Bus fuhr direkt vom Hotel ab).

The hotel is great, very clean, and stylish. We were travelling with a 1 year old baby, they provide the babybed with nice bedding. It's a little bit far from the city center, but u can buy the bus ticket directly from the reception desk, about 10mins reach the heart of the old town. We were positively surprised by the warm welcome and helpful service at check-in. Unfortunately, this good impression did not last long: the first evening, we waited 30min for the pick-up of the hotel shuttle in Florence. Yet, the shuttle did not appear, even though the driver had assured us in the morning that he would be there at the stipulated time. […] So we had to take the bus back to the hotel. When telling the receptionist of the hotel about it, we did not even get an apology. On the second day, however, the shuttle service functioned well and was on time. The room was clean, but the carpet had holes and the sink was blocked. The ceiling in the breakfast room had water spots, but breakfast was plentiful. In general, the stay at the hotel was ok, but some renovations would be necessary. As car parking was free of charge, the hotel can be recommended to people traveling by car, who do not expect an extraordinary accommodation. Mehr

My family and I only stayed one night in this hotel, but we had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean & modern. The breakfast buffet was very good, with many food & drink options. The front desk staff was very helpful with any questions they had & they spoke English very well. Stayed only one night before flying out. Convenient to the airport but farther away from central Florence. The room was clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby area otherwise there was a charge for Wi-Fi in your room.

A very good price for a good hotel. The location is just on the outskirts of Central Florence however the bus stop is right outide the hotel (you can but the tickets from reception) and it only takes 20 minutes to get into the centre. we had some friends staying in a hotel downtown for the same price. we chose this hotel instead though because of parking, though, and in the end i am so happy we did. we parked for free (when we were there, there was almost always space, and when there wasn't we could still park across the street for free) but also had pleasant, professional people […] helping us; we had a crisp, clean (maybe a little firm) bed; a roomy, strong shower; good lighting, a/c, basically a really nice stay. on top of that, the bus downtown came quite frequently and the big grocery store next door was nice for stocking up on italian food essentials on the way out of town. in italy, for the price we paid, it's all too easy to end up with a well-worn poorly appointed room--not the case here. Stayed for 1 night in July. Checkin and the room were very nice. Also has an added bonus of a Car park to leave hire-cars. Only improvement to make would be service in the hotel restaurant. It was very quiet and had to go to reception to get a waitress. Though once having meal all was well.

After staying at a few old world hotels in Venice and Rome, we realized we are not old world people. We loved the Starhotels - bright, clean rooms, soft linens and "normal" plumbing! We wish we would have stayed in Stahotels in Venice and Rome. We know for next time!

I would say however that it is a bit too far from the city centre to be convenient for a short trip. We took the city bus mostly. It's very frequent but takes about 20 minutes to get into town. The hotel was located very far from city center, which was OK, as bus travel to & for was free, but still time consuming. Rooms were OK, little smaller than we expexted. when we arrived we were immediately offerred to transfer down to their sister hotel the Michaelangelo (closer to downtown florence), don't know why? overbooked? anyway we went to the Michaelangelo and where I had requested (as per the room description on hotels.com) a room with a double and a single bed, we got a room with one queen size bed. ( the […] first room offerred was in front of the elevators!) upon settling in, it was a fairly convenient walk to everything touristy. Breakfast was included and on the first morning there was a woman in charge of the dining room who was yelling at all the staff ( behind closed doors however you couldn't miss her yelling...one of the other guests got up and told her to shut up!) she was quickly replaced and never seen again...anyway overall a clean and well situated hotel, I would shop around however before going back...hope this helps someone..
