They need a upgrade.

The hotel is very nice little off the beaten path. The hotels breakfast was delightful.. The parking area for the hotel is nicely lit and secure. The. Store in the lobby was almost bare. The maid service was indeed sub-par. Call the front desk to have the.beds made & new towels the towels arrived the old towels where's left on the floor in the bathroom […] and the room was never serviced.. Note: will need car or car service. There is a bus stop approximately 1/8 of mile down a winding road with no sidewalk and minimal lighting Mehr

Overall I liked this hotel. The rooms were nice, the beds were super comfortable, the staff was very nice. The only problem was getting there. If I didnt have my gps, I woulda been lost. It seems like you go around in circles then have to veer way right. I almost got in an accident because a guy wouldn't let me over. But if you can get there, your stay […] will be really good. Mehr

Came into town from out-of-state for a friends wedding, and was very satisfied with this hotel. Friendly service, clean room, upscale ambiance. When we discovered early on that our remote control was missing, upon informing the front desk, they replaced it within minutes. If there was any downside, it was the somewhat tricky route to get to the hotel, […] from the interstate. You have to negotiate a series of on and off ramps (plays havoc with the GPS), circling around to get to the exit, which springs up surprisingly. For a mid-westerner it's a little jarring. Mehr

I really don't have complaints about this hotel other than the fact that the pillows were terrible. They're much smaller than the standard sized pillows, and very uncomfortable. I even tried to use it by stacking two, but it was still very uncomfortable. I had neck pains in the morning. Other than that, a standard hotel room. First, it is a Renaissance Hotel so how could you go wrong! Bed was so comfortable, room very nice and spacious! Staff very friendly and professional. Even got a welcome glass of champagne!

next time I will get a suite. I felt like the walls were caving in..outside of that the hotel was nice.

In needed reservations for me and my wife from M-Th. Took a chance on this hotel and it surpassed my expectations. I had travelled 138 miles for back surgery and needed a room for a few days to be ready to make the two hour trek back home. Restaurant was first class and served elegant dishes. Housekeeping was understanding, kept the room spotless and […] fresh. Got home and my wife was missing a bag of jewelry. She called at about 11:30pm and hotel staff immediately searched the room and found the valuables left she behind. Excellent experience. Mehr

The Renaissance Westchester is very nice and great for a restful stay. We will stay here whenever we visit White Plains NY.

This was a beautiful however the fire alarm went off all night long. The hotel claimed that since we paid through hotels.com that they could not compensate us the price of the room for the night. The hotel did give us a free breakfast. The location was in an industrial park and very difficlt to locate. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and happy to be of help. I had requested a Microwave but did not find it in the room when I checked-in but it was supplied withing no time :) The hotel is in a quiet place but very accessible. Plenty of eating places in the area. The only glich was that the hotel's address is actually in a city called West Harrison, […] it would be great to include that in their directions page for people using GPS. Overall my family was very Happy and we Highly Recommend this hotel and will definately stay there in our next NY visit :) Mehr

This is a very nice out of the way hotel that I highly recommend if you want to get away for a romantic weekend. Nice pool and jaccuzi, breakfast buffet was excellent and the grounds were beautiful for a nice hike in the woods or just sitting around a fire pit poolside. The lounge is lovely. Excellent place to have a gathering.

I stayed at this hotel due to the proximity to Iona College as well as the shopping in the area. I was moving my daughter into her dorm from the west coast and needed to purchase a lot of the stuff she needed. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. And it was close to Mamorneck Blvd and all the restaurants in that area. Room service was very good as well. […] The consierge (or whatever word they use) Michael, was extraordinary. The only two things I didn't care for was some construction going on and the lack of parking due to some large tv trucks parked in prime spots that were there to cover a PGA event. Mehr

Pleasent stay, came up for wedding in New Rochelle. Only dislike, stayed on 6th floor and the room just did not cool down enough at night - we prefer a COOL room for sleeping.

I really shouldn't complain about it because of the fact I did not notify the front desk to rectify the problem. In the past if this has happened and reported I would have had to pack up to a new room ( I was way too tired) or worse yet have the repair guy in my room for an hour only to hear him say that it can't be fixed and I have to move. the hotel has lovely grounds and is at a very convenient location.

This was our first time at this hotel. However, we'll be back again. We have family in Mamaroneck and this hotel was only five miles away. Very clean and comfortable room, bathroom was immaculate, best towels we've ever had. The first night our pillows were too soft. We asked our housemaid for firmer pillows and she took care of it for us. The staff […] were all very courteous and friendly. If I had to find a complaint, it would be the tv reception. We were watching a NFL pre game in the bar but could not get it in our room. Mehr

The was a great Hotel and the only complaint I or suggestion is the front desk staff need to be more friendly and the prices in the bar are high. I did find this off putting but the Hotel was great.

Nice decor and and relaxed setting. 30 min from NYC. Room was clean and had lots of space. Will definitely return.

I think i had value for money spent during my stay at the hotel. Only thought the breakfast rate was a little on the higher side and needs a relook.

Although it's tucked away in an awkward place to find for the first time, it is well worth the search. The hotel has wonderful amenities; the grounds are lovely; and the accommodations are first-rate. While the rooms are reasonably priced, the restaurant is relatively expensive and the hotel is located in an area where there are no nearby alternatives. […] Nonetheless, I would recommend it without hesitation. Lovely setting. Attentive staff. Not easy to get to from Scarsdale, NY.

They did not have the room available, that we RESERVED, instead they gave us a room with one queen sized bed. There were hairs under the sheets, we did see one funny looking bug that appeared to be some sort of parasite crawling on the wall full of blood. This hotel is wonderful! We got an awesome deal here, and the room was gorgeous and the beds were very comfortable. The only complaints are that there is no free wifi in the rooms, and no complimentary breakfast. As other reviewers have said, you kind of have to park far away from the rooms, but that wasn't a big deal for us. We will probably stay there […] again when we return next spring for our niece's graduation at nearby Sarah Lawrence College. Mehr

We weren't sure what to expect but we found this hotel to be very nice and the price was well worth it! I highly recommend this to anyone.

Everything was absolutely beautiful, wouild recommend anyone to stay there.

Nice patio are which allows guests to bring their own food an bevergaes. Good food choices in the barand restaurant. Beautifully maintained property, not far from White Plains ..... but you definitely need GPS to find it!

When we arrived the hotel lobby as well as the other floors (I was on 4) were struggling with their AC. In other words, it was hot and it didn't help that we were in a heatwave either. The lobby was warm and reeked of chlorine from the pool. I'm sure this wasn't the best weekend for them, but unfortunately for us, it was our weekend

We stayed here because the price was right and it was an easy drive to the train stations to get a train into NYC. The hotel was adequate but a little remote. While some might see the location as secluded, it seemed a little out of the way. The hotel has an unusual setup with the building with the guest rooms connected to the main building by an enclosed […] walkway. This made it quite a hike to the elevators. In addition to that, this building was in a "U" shape with the elevators at one end of the "U". Our room was at the other end of the "U". It was again a very long hike to get to our room. While most of the hotel was well air conditioned, the elevator and the hallway near the elevator was incredibly hot with no working air conditioning. Since this was the weekend with record high temperatures in the NYC area, it was terribly uncomfortable. The rooms and hallways were always clean, but the area near the pool was not kept clean. We thought it would be a nice area to sit in the evening, but there was trash and sand (beach volleyball nearby) everywhere. Overall, the hotel was adequate, but I would never stay there again. And it certainly does not deserve 4 stars. Mehr

On line, this hotel looks like a nice spa/corporate retreat setting, however, we did not have a very good experience at this hotel as a family. The pool was overcrowded with trash, beer cans, and wet towels strewn about. It was more like a block party on Saturday night than a lounge. The room's air conditioning units could not keep up with the current […] heat wave. The room service food was mediocre and very over priced - with a nice 20% service charge added on top. Overall, this hotel has some potential to be nice, but I would never book it again. Mehr

Precise directions are difficult to find, even on the hotel website, and the hotel is unknown outside of its immediate neighborhood! For those who are not familiar with the Hutchinson Parkway/ Westchester Avenue area, it is practically impossible to find. Fortunately the Renaissance Westchester has a delightful lady on the switchboard named Emily, who […] was patient and stayed on the phone with us, giving us turn by turn directions until we got to the hotel! The room was adequate, but nothing spectacular. There was little choice as to covers on the beds. You were either under a heavy duvet or a sheet, nothing else. A few less pillows (5 on each bed) and perhaps a light blanket would have been appreciated. One glass of bar brand wine and one soda was $18.00 at the bar. The breakfast buffet at a "Zagat Rated" restaurant was comparable to what I've had at a Holiday Express and cost $19.00 per person. All in all, Emily was the highlight of our stay! Mehr
