Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport - Dublin

Der Titel ist Programm. Die Lage ist direkt am Flughafen und das Hotel trotzdem komfortabel / hell und freundlich. Für Fluggäste weiterzuempfehlen.

Ein für einnmalige Übernachtungen günstig am Flughafen gelegenes Hotel, dessen Zimmer allerdings nur bedingt empfehlenswert sind. Wer bei der An- oder Abreise eine Nacht in Flughafennähe verbringen möchte und keine hohen Ansprüche an die Zimmer stellt ist hier recht gut aufgehoben.

Die angebotenen Shuttlebusverbindung Flughafen - Hotel klappte überhaupt nicht. Entweder Wartezeiten von mehr als 40 (!) Minuten oder zu keine Busse, sodaß Gäste oder Gepäck nicht transportiert werden konnten. Ansonsten bestens für Zwischenstop. Busbahnhof 5 Minuten entfernt.

Hotel ist zwecksmässig, wenn man auf der Durchreise ist. Es ist ca. 4 Min. (mit Hotelbus) vom Terminal entfernt.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Flughafen. Das und der sehr niedrige Preis waren die Kriterien, das Hotel auszuwählen (eine Nacht vor einem sehr frühen Flug). Der Empfang war freundlich und kompetent. Das Zimmer zwar sauber aber sehr klein - kaum Platz die Koffer aufzumachen. Natürlich war auch der Lärm der startenden und landenden Flugzeuge […] zu hören. Leider gibt es keinen Lift, was bei Zimmern im ersten oder zweiten Stockwerk doch den Gepäcktransport etwas erschwert. Allerdings wurde beim Check-In Hilfe angeboten. Positiv: Snacks an der Bar serviert sind akzeptabel und rasch zu bekommen, Ein Shuttlebus zum Flughafen fährt regelmäßig (alle 30 Minuten) auch die ganze Nacht über - Fahrtdauer ca. 3 Minuten. Mehr

Ideal location for early morning flights. A little expensive.

The bus runs every 30 minutes, so if you miss it don't worry. The Clarion is OK, the room was nice and spotlessly clean but the bathroom is very cramped, though it had a bath. We had an evening meal in Kudos and it is very expensive. Two courses for 24e each but then if you have steak its another 6e each, veg and potatoes are extra without any desert […] or coffee. Hotel is very convenient for airport and comfortable. My only quibble is with the food on offer. It was lovely but the only choice is Asian themed so if someone didn't like that or wanted something different, whilst I'm sure it could be organised, it means there wasn't much choice.

i thought it was lovely as it took the hazzle of coming to the airport at 1am next morning will be doing the same when i travel to Hamburg on the 15th august.

clean hotel. friendly. but you won't get much sleep at night with the noise from both outside and in

I would not recommend eating here. A cardboard-like burger at an extremely high price.

This is a gem of a hotel, would highly reccomend it to anyone and so handy for flying. Kudos restaurant is superb

We loved this hotel as it was so close to the airport. It is an easy walk. Also the food was great, as was the atmosphere in the lobby bar. The rates were definitely reasonable.

Check your actual room before acceptance when arriving at hotel. This is our second stay. For the first, the room and even hallway outside was in terrible disrepair. We complained and got a better room for this visit. Lobby/bar/restaurant is nice. Hotel close to airport but not easily walkable. We stayed here twice. This was the first stay (the second one went better). Not really walkable from airport, but they have an OK shuttle. Our first visit, we were tired and accepted the first room offered. This was one of the most run down rooms we have ever stayed in. The rug was actually worn down to the underlying matting! The room also had an old […] fashioned TV that barely brought in stations. No elevator available from lobby to second floor! Others also complained about these same things, and tthey said they would never stay here again. For us, we prepaid for a second stay later in the week - and 2nd stay was better. Mehr

Perfect stop over for an early flight, excellent location beside the airport, you dont even need the shuttle bus. Overall excellent, and would recommend

Ideal location for a stay pre arr/dep flight from Dub. Coach from Airport available. Had a room facing inside to a courtyard/garden and was very quiet.

Had a great stay at the Clarion, very friendly and helpful staff and great food. I didnt feel the need to go out of the hotel after a busy day.

Lovely hotel, but breakfast was poor value for £13 each> Would stay again but bring my own breakfast.

It is, sadly, unusual today to find such efficiency and warmth in the staff. From bus driver to reception to porter to dining room all were welcoming and thoughtful.

We have stayed here afew times as it is really handy to the airport. It's not 5 star but it is clean and the staff are all very friendly. We had really nice meal in the restaurant and thought the price reasonable. The only downside to this hotel is they have no lift!! and if like me you over pack your cases then this can be difficult .

My husband and I stayed here for a night before we left Dublin to return to the states. We were very pleased with the condition of our room! It was roomy and extremely comfortable! It's convenience to the airport is unbeatable and the staff is very friendly! My only complaint was that some of the hallways to the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, but […] it did not smell in our room at all! Would happily stay here again when we return to Dublin! Mehr

I agree with the comments immediately below. It is in fact very close to the airport; could have walked it. there is a shuttle outside the terminal which was free going to the hotel but a euro going back the next morning. The room was so-so; no elevator. The highlight was a nice restaurant and bar, in the large lobby itself, with a sit down area to […] watch the news. I arrived at 9:30 on a Wednesday night and about fifteen people were mingling around. It was nice but pricey. I wish I had bought a soft drink and snack in the airport itself. However, for convenience getting a morning flight or arriving at night, it is a good choice. If going to Dublin itself, uh -uh. Mehr

This hotel suits people who just want to have a rest either before leaving to or after arriving from the airport. I would not recommend to stay more than one night. i use it regularly on sunday nights as I have an early flight on Monday mornings. While to seem to have a loyalty program, it is not of the standard of other hotels, where in other hotels […] at least they pretend to know you as a regular customer and thank you for returning to them. Stayed here when flying to europe. Cannot get a more convenient spot if on an early morning or late night flight. Internet standard in room. Very convenient parking also at a good price

The hotel staff were very friendly and this hotel is ideal for anyone who wants to stay beside the airport before catching a flight.

This hotel is excellent for night over before early morning flight. Rooms are good size and clean. I have stayed on 3 occasions and each time have had a long walk to my room. So I recommended if you wish to stay and have a lot of luggage you request a room close to reception!

The only things that annoying is there is no elevator and you have to carry large suitcases up//down stairs.

definitely not 4 star. Clean but very basic. Smallest double bed I have ever seen, a larger couple is just not going to work. Shuttle to terminal is reliable but silly they charge €1 pp. The location is the best 2 mins to terminal but I will stay at alternative next time.

We stayed in the Clarion for one night. The hotel itself was average, but they actually charged us parking for the night that we stayed in the hotel. Haven't experienced that before and definitely won't ever stay there again. It's not a huge amount of money but you feel completely ripped off when something like that happens.

We've stayed here previously due to it's convenience in flying out the next day. It's fine for a single night stay but seemed a bit downtrodden this time thru. Changed our room for a nicer one. They were very acomodating in this request.

while staying for 1 night i found the hotel to be a good location to the airport unfortunatly our sofa bed was dirty with no bedding supplied and there was also too much noise in the next room and corridor while trying to sleep before an early longhaul flight the next day.

Very convenient to Dublin Airport. Handy to have parking at hotel at seven euro per day

Small room. No iron or ironing board. Bed was starting to fall apart. Very thin walls - could easily hear my neighbouring guests at night. TV remote control was just about working.

The Clarion at Dublin airport is the best possible location for anyone who has a very early flight the next morning, as it's only a short walk to the check-in area or using the shuttle service for €1.00. However, the room we received was well below that of a 4* hotel, with very basic decor. Perhaps we received this room as we got a special rate, but […] we were surprised by the very ordinary room. I stayed in your hotel on the 3rd november and again on the 11th with my partner. We found the carpet all along the corridors to be absolutely filthy - on the night of the 11th the room we were in which was room 362 there was a big hole in the wall - there was no shower cap in bathroom - the rte guide was a week old and when we brought up a drink from […] the bar we discovered that the outside of the pint glass of guinness was all dirty and sticky. On the plus side the breakfast was very good but she had ran out of irish independents No proper lift for our cases we had to carry then down flights of stairs Mehr

fantastic hotel,fantastic location.

Overall the hotel is very nice, well placed for the airport and the reception was very friendly and efficient. I had a single room which had obviously not been used for a while - I was cold all night! Its the sort of damp cold from a room/bed that has been out of use - maybe for a relatively short time but it had been left unheated and in November, […] this isn't a great idea. Another minus - as i got into bed, I noticed a very large spider + a web above my head! As I had an early start and only a few hours sleep ahead, I just let it go and didn't complain. Hotel was excellent - however, directions from the Airport on a dark & wet night were poor. Could not see a shuttle bus for the hotel or directions to the hotel.

airport, I would highly recommend it to take the stress out of travelling particularly ifyou have an early morning flight as traffic in Dublin in the morning is difficult. The food in the restaraunt was average and expensive. Almost €4 for cup of tea.....prices for food need to come down!" Overall comfortable

I stayed in this hotel Clarion mainly I wanted to stay somewhere near Dublin airport. The location is excellent. Its just 10 minutes walk from this hotel to airport. But hotel's building (exterior & interior) is outdated. Room's furnishings, decor as well as bathroom's decor is certainly much to be desired. It all looks like 80s style. The hotel's […] management certainly needs to spend extra money for refurbishment to make it look like contemporary. TV was also 20" CRT not the LCD. I didn't take the breakfast as it was not included in my room's price, and hence I can't comment on the quality of the breakfast. Overall, for the price, its not good value for money. There are some other hotels in the vicinity of airport, so I suggest stay there if you get the room in the same price range or if you can spend few extra money. Mehr

First, the are no lifts in this hotel which makes it difficult to get to any room not on the reception floor. The staff is patently unconcerned with helping the guests, both the front desk as well as the staff in the very meagre dining room. The young man in the dining room/bar was extremely unfriendly. Finally, when the shuttle (for which you pay 1 […] Euro each) drops you off, you are between terminal 1 and 2 with no indication on the building or from the driver which is which. Stay away.
