The hotel as well as the rooms are beautiful...all of the rooms circle a central court. And that is the problem. The noise from the bar, breakfast and cocktail hour are always a part of your room. We didn't need to use the pull out bed for sleeping, but boy I felt for those who did...the noise didn't quiet down until after 1. The hotel provides a 1 […] cup coffee maker in your room, but with only 2 packets of coffee for the two of us, that wasn't enough. We went looking for coffee (after breakfast hours) and there was none to be had anywhere! No courtesy coffee in the lobby or anywhere. We asked for more coffee and they did send us up two more packets. The next evening when I asked for more coffee, they sent us up 1 packet! Seriously!? With two people in the room? That being said, it was a beautiful room and the breakfast was very good. They had omelets made to order, grits, pancakes, french toast rolls, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, cereal and more! Juice, milk and coffee. It wasn't all the best quality, but it was good. We enjoyed our experience, don't know if we'll stay again. Just know that if you need to use the front room in your suite for sleeping, you might not get much sleep, and bring your own thermos of coffee!! Mehr

Hotels are either clean or they are not. They are comfortable and safe or they are not. Hopefully, they are clean, comfortable and safe. Still, the real difference often comes in the personnel. This hotel has great people that enjoy serving their customers/friends. Oh, and it is well located for launching your visit to any part of KC, especially the […] southern end. Being located one block from Loop 435 and basically on highway 69 business one can get anywhere in minutes. Mehr

I was ultimately satisfied with my experience, but the beginning started out a little negatively. When I first walked into my bedroom, I noticed that the bed was not made. The sheets were all clumped together in a ball on the top of the bed. I called the front desk and somebody came up quickly to fix the bed, so I appreciated the promptness of that […] service. A few hours later, when I went to take a shower, I noticed a dirty wash cloth in the shower curtain. It wasn't a huge deal to me; I just put the cloth on the floor, but at the same time, I felt like that shouldn't have happened. Those are the reasons why I can't give everything a rate of "5", but ultimately we liked our stay. Mehr

We have stayed at this hotel 2 previous times. The first time we took our son and he slept in the hide away. Unfortunately the cleaning staff did not prepare the room properly. And there were no sheets and the pillow had fallen under a very dirty sofa bed. We had been credited for a free night that we take a few months later and everything goes perfect. We […] book the room this time booking for 3 adult guests for 2 nights and once again the hospitality staff fails to stock the room for the extra guest except this time no pillow at all but still a very dirty hide away. When I spoke with the staff they apologized and provided the needed care to the room and once again credited a free nights stay. I Appreciate the manager and all their efforts to make our stay comfortable but at the same time i believe that the housekeeping staff has become lacks in their job and therefore the hotel falls short in the cleanliness department. We stayed in two suites to celebrate a niece's graduation. The rooms were clean and well serviced, the breakfast buffet was delicious, but the pool and hot tub were under renovation and closed. This was very disappointing to the young people with us. It would have been nice if we had known this when the reservation was made.

This is an older hotel but very nice. The only thing I did not like was the carpet had one too many parties on it but I was with two kids so I was not worried about getting billed if they spilled something. Great service at the hotel, both of the ladies working the front desk were friendly and helpful. Hotel is close to many restaurants and easy to get to off of the interstate. As always, nothing beats the Embassy made to order breakfast! We will stay here again.

Stayed here only one night but everything was perfect from all we experienced.

The hotel is starting to look a little "used" but the staff was great. Mixed drinks at the manager's reception were odd (the margarita's are particularly tasteless) but the reception itself was fun when we could attend. Like other Embassy Suite hotels the quietness of the rooms really depends on how noisy the bar area is, and this past weekend it was […] LOUD. Pool was small. Good for maybe 8 people. Noise could be heard from the courtyard outside the room on 4th floor. Great breakfast buffet.

Very satisfied with our stay at the Embassy Suites in Overland Park Kansas. From the free happy hour to the free made to order omlet breakfast. We have stayed at the Embassy Suites before and will continure to stay whenever we are in town.,

We had dinner reservations for 7:00pm, we were the only ones in the dining room. Granated there was 25 of us, but the staff knew the count as they had set up the table. We waited a hour and a half for all the plates to be served. The ones that weren't served were the littlest children. They kept saying "we're hungry". When we asked the waitress what […] the hold up was she said "we're waiting on the french fries and we asked "why can't be served their sandwiches now and the french fries when they are done. She said the sandwiches would be right out. Other than that we had a great meal and a good stay at the hotel. Mehr

This hotel is well maintained and worth every penny! The suites are convenient for a family with small children. The front desk staff were always accomodating, willing to answer questions about the surronding area and offer directions when asked. You can't normally go wrong with an Embassy Suites. This one was comfortable and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is with a $10 (with tax) glass of house Chardonnay. Ouch!

The hotel is in excellent condition and rooms was clean and well maintained. Close to highway and shopping. Will stay again when in the area.

Great place to stay with children. It is very easy on parents as well.

I was in Overland Park for a workers compensation seminar . My room was great it was clean and comfortable. the managers happy hour was a blast I would recommend this Hotel to couples famlies and business associates Great Job.

Made to order omelets and so much more for breakfast that is included. Love the complimentary cocktails in the evening as well. Suites are great with two TV's so you can watch different shows if you want. Only thing is air conditioner is very loud and for some reason we got a handicap room this time, which was great for the extra space but did not like […] the shower because of the curtain. It had a hand held shower which was awkward because of the tubing. Nevertheless, we love this place and stay here when we visit our kids about every other month. Mehr

We were looking for a hotel in KC that was close to the sights, had a separate bedroom, and a free breakfast. Embassy Suites had it all! The kids slept in the bedroom and we slept on the pull-out couch so we would have easy access to the bathroom and kitchenette. It worked wonderfully. The breakfast was huge! Just about every breakfast food you could […] possibly want! If I had to critique something, I'd say that the pool is a tad small. We stayed 2 nights; the first night there were only a few other people in the pool so no problems. The second night (a Sat night), there were lots of parties going on in the hotel so tons of teenagers splashing around with little to no adult supervision. The hotel took care of this by sending a security guard to monitor the pool. Also, housekeeping never came to our room. We ended up calling down to the front desk to request more towels, so it was fine. I'm not sure why we were skipped. We ordered a pizza from room service one night. It was really good and not too expensive. They brought everything we needed, we left the tray outside our room and it was gone by morning. The location is wonderful. It's located on a major road so easy to access the interstates and highways. Took us at most 20 minutes to get to any of our destinations. When we visit KC again, we'll definitely stay at Embassy Suites. Mehr

This is a nice place to stay. We have stayed numerous times and on our most recent stay we were happy to find that the hotel had been updated. The rooms were beautiful and the bar and restaurant area is clean and tastefully updated. Our only dissapointment was the happy hour. The beer was warm and by the last half hour, there was no food left except […] for burnt popcorn. On the other hand, the breakfast is wonderful and the made to order omelettes are excellent. We stay here everytime we go to KC to visit our daughters. Staff is very friendly and we enjoy the complimentary cocktail hour in the evening. Can't say enough about the breakfast that is also included. Made to order omelettes and many other choices. Nothing is perfect and have to say the air conditioning unit is noisy when it runs. We came to Kansas from Australia to see the NASCAR racing, the Embassy Suites was very easy to find. The breakfast was very good and the Managers happy hour was a great idea. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are large and clean. We had a great stay. Will definately tell friends and family in Australia about our visit.

The staff was especially nice and very friendly. My only complaint is that there wasn't any bottled water in the room and the duvet was a little itchy. But the bed was comfy and the room was very nice. Great breakfast too!

The location was perfect....in our old neighborhood when we lived in K.C. The suite was lovely, and the breakfast was great. Our only problem was a vent which constantly blew cold when we would have liked the furnace to blow instead. The maintenance man taped a plastic bag over it for us, but it blew off withing minutes of his leaving. Our stay at the Embassy was great. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We were able to take the shuttle to dinner, which saved us $20 in taxi fees and was much faster. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and gave us great suggestions. The nightclub that was recommended was the perfect ambiance for us. We stay at this hotel almost everytime we come to Kansas City to visit our kids. We love the made to order omelettes and the hot breakfast that is included. We also enjoy the complimentary cocktail hour with munchies in the evening. The air conditioner didn't work for the entire stay. We were told it wa being repaired and then it had been repaired but it never worked. The hotel was old and not in great condition. Not a typical experience at this brand of hotel. Have stayed at many and very loyal to the brand. The breakfast was more like a zoo-buffet not organized and food was not […] good quality! We loved the hotel and especially the staff. The location was great too.I was Very disappointed to find out it cost a daily fee for internet service in my room. In today's world that is not acceptable. We would not stay her again because of that alone.

Great place to stay!!! Close to good places to eat and things to do!!! Plus the great breakfast and drinks in the evening BUD LIGHT LIME on TAP it dont get much better than that!!!

This is a comfortable and clean hotel. Staff was very welcoming and accessible. Suites were well designed with the bedroom in the back, away from the center atrium, because there was quite a bit of noise from the atrium. The hotel seems popular with children's sports teams. Breakfast was generous, many choices and very good.

My continuing disappointment is that hotels charge for wireless internet in your room but you get it free at the airport. They do have a nice business center.
