Hotel Auteuil - Genf

Very newly-refurbished hotel with comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Location is a 10 minute walk from the main station. The neighbourhood is not the nicest (lots of concrete buildings and a reasonably large road outside), but prices in more fashionable areas are much higher. The hotel gives you a free city-wide travel pass (or you can pick […] one up before passing through customs at the airport, which makes the train into the city free, too) and the #16 tram from the station drops you on the main shopping street in under 10 mins (plus the 10 min walk from the hotel to the station). The walk into the centre is also only 20-25 mins directly from the hotel. Our room faced the train tracks and we could hear trains coming to and from the station, but it was not sufficiently loud to prevent me from sleeping (and I'm a light sleeper). The staff were pleasant and helpful, and took the charge for breakfast off the bill without question when we checked out (their system adds it by default and it's up to you to tell them you didn't have it). We didn't try room service, as it was very expensive at 20-30 CHF for sandwiches to burgers (particularly given the exchange rate at the time) - but this is in keeping with the rest of Geneva, where it takes a bit of searching to find food that is reasonably priced. Our room (a standard double) had a fridge to keep your own food in (separate to the mini-bar fridge), a microwave and a large sink for washing up, along with plates and cutlery, all tucked in a cupboard next to the wardrobe. Buying your own breakfast or light meals at one of the nearby supermarkets and eating at the desk or in one of the two armchairs either side of the coffee table would definitely be no problem. The Manotel hotels are not exciting, but comfortable and practical. The Auteuil hotel is the one closest to the Cornavin station, which is practical. The free wifi is a big plus when you travel for work. Only downside is that the breakfast isn't included.

Great hotel, would recommend to anyone. Stayed for 2 nights. Helpful staff, nice bar. Room was clean/well kept - no smoking smell. Breakfast was way to expensive, better just get a coffee & snack somewhere else.

We spent 1 night in this hotel on 9-9-10. It's a nice hotel, one of the nicer that we stayed in while in Europe (larger than normal and very modern). The bed was very comfortable as were the furnishings. The hotel was clean and up to date. Hotel workers were friendly. Decent breakfast but relatively expensive. One thing to note, if you are traveling […] to/from the Geneva airport, don't take a cab. It's expensive and slower than the train, which is free and about 100 yards from the hotel's front door. Booked a non-smoking room more than 4 weeks in advance, but at check-in was assigned (they said the last) room with smell of smoke, ashtray, and matches. Check-in clerk continued to maintain that this was a 'non-smoking' room, despite the obvious differences from the room they moved me to the following day (with an apology from the manager, and the […] clerk still insisting he was right). The hotel is very new with modern decoration and very clean. It is very conveniently located, 5 minutes walk from the main train Station, although the neighborhood at night is not as great as during day time. The hotel provided us with a free travel card for the whole stay, which it is great! I will recommend it to everybody and will stay there again […] on my next visit! Mehr

The hotel was very nice, small and personal. The rooms are airconditioned (for Europe that's a big deal actually!) and modern. The front desk staff is nice and helpful, they can also exchange your euros or dollars for Swiss franks. AC did not work very well, but was bareable. Folks at front desk very helpful. Easy access to train, lake, etc. One towards the lake not too safe to walk along at nite - strip joints, etc.

Clean, very well-maintained. Within walking distance of train station.

The hotel has a 2 bathrooms. It is very convenient for 2 people. Overall, everything is greatly maintained, very nice hotel.

Great value! We loved the Boutique, Contemporary feel and being 2 blocks from the train station.This hotel was exactly as pictured on the site. The staff was extremely courteous and an overall pleasure to stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel. Wonderful location to walk to most places, lakefront, bridge,station and shopping & dining.Our room was large overlooking the street, nice bathroom with tub & shower. Separate toilet. First the good stuff: Staff is great, and fast, breakfast was good, and the rooms are clean. Now the issues: First of all rooms on the back of the hotel are facing the railyard, either you sleep through it, or wear earplugs. 'King' bed is actually 2 twins put together. TV was very small if you care about that. Gym sucks with a set of broken 'click-to-pick' […] dumbells and one multi-gym machine (there was a stationary bike and a small yoga like area if that's what you want - and a big flat screen on the wall ;). Nice hotel, but neighborhood a bit odd. I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the train station. If returning to Geneva, I'd stay in a different neighborhood.

Hotel is in a GREAT location, Geneva is a small city, only takes 15 minutes to walk to Old town from this hotel. Friendly staff, very clean room and I am very picky about cleanliness. We were delighted with this modern and clean hotel, just a short 3 block walk to the central train station and to the lake. We skipped the breakfast, since it was expensive. Despite having the trams in front and trains in back, our room was pretty quiet. The bathroom was modern and spotless and the free internet worked great.

Hotel offers great service, is in a wonderful location next to the train station, and is great value for the money. It's also really stylish, I highly recommend it.

Beautiful Hotel and friendly Staff. The rooms for nicely appointed. Beautiful paintings and Black and White photographs throughout the hotel. Central location. Hotel does back up to train rails but it was still very quite. Nice Hotel.

We loved the hotel stay in Geneva. It was a couple blocks from the train station and the hotel was beautiful. Out of the hotels we stayed in Zurich and Lausanne, this was the best and it was at the same price point as the others. Very modern, sleek, clean. Only downside was that breakfast was not included, which is rare for a hotel in Europe.

Meget fint hotel tæt på offentlige transportmidler. Morgenmaden er dog meget dyr.

近代的で清潔なホテルで、親切だった。 立地条件も駅に近く便利である。 朝食は豊富でおいしいが、高価であった。

Hotel is ok, but without breakfast. Hotels.com dit not explicitly mention that, btw. Very irritating at the rate they charge for a night. Comfy room, but window does not open. Noise from the street. Overall, not worth the rate.

En general, el hotel es recomendable para un par de noches, pero no más. Es céntrico (se puede ir andando al Lago Leman, a la estación de tren...), pero muy ruidoso. Nuestra habitación no daba a las vías del tren, sino a la calle principal, por la que pasan los tranvías, sintiéndose la vibración de los mismos en la habitación. En cuanto a la habitación […] en sí, era moderna y bien equipada, pero no muy limpia (especialmente durante el fin de semana), y también muy ruidosa desde muy temprano por los ruidos de la camarera del hotel. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir des chambres côté rue, donc c'était plutôt calme et agréable. Un conseil : si vous voyagez en famille, demandez des chambres connectées (normalement l'hôtel les propose automatiquement, mais sinon demandez […] explicitement). Cela fait comme une petite suite, avec réfrigérateur, micro-ondes et vaisselles à disposition ! 역근처이고 13번과 15번 트램이 다니는 곳에 위치하여 편리합니다. 역정면에 있는 호텔들에 비해 조용하고 UN 방면에서 사무가 있는 경우 더욱 편리합니다. 제네바 호텔의 가격이 너무 높아서 6일간 머무르는데 나중에 보니 하루는 50만원이 넘는 방값이더라구요... 너무 비싼 게 흠이기는 하지만 나머지는 대체로 좋아요. 마루바닥이고 청소상태도 좋습니다.

Excellent accueil et déco raffinée, chambre très confortable; il est dommage que la baie vitrée, heureusement correctement insonorisée, ne permette qu'une vue sur les rails.

Jeg har ingen klager over rengøring, vedligehold, service i receptionen eller personalets service. I forhold til prisen og det at der var tale om et 4-stjernet hotel, havde jeg dog forventet noget andet. F.eks. var morgenmaden ikke inkluderet. Værelset havde et lille køkken med mikroovn og køleskab, som også ville have kostet et betydeligt ekstragebyr, […] hvis jeg havde brugt det. Det kan anbefales at købe morgenmad i nærliggende Coop eller sandwich-butik. Mehr

Avg room - good if you are not planning to spend much time in the room - with unstable internett connection . The hotell is close to the trainstation so be prepared to be disturbed by the trains as they go by. Did not eat the breakfast, so can't commet.
