Had a great time. I saw several hotels that I had considered,however II would have been very disappointed if I gone anywhere else. The pictures shown on web for many of the other hotels is a real sham when you see them in person.

Fantastc stay here 3/24/12 to 3/31/12 for a convention. Excellent accommodation and service. Dinned at Shulla's twice and was excellent food & service on both occasions. The only negative was $14.95 per day wifi fee and I couldn't respond to emails- not sure why. Highly recommended!

Great Hotel on many fronts. Only problem was that cable was out for an entire day during March Madness - Uggghhh. Other than that, a phenomenal experience.

Truly enjoyed my stay. Very courteous staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Nothing bad to say except there was no free wifi in the room.

On a scale of 1-10, I give this hotel a 20!!!! Everything was perfect! The customer service, cleanliness of the hotel, the attractions etc!

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to everything but far enough from Bourbon street to get a good nights sleep. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had an amazing time and would absolutely stay there again.

Our room was VERY clean and the staff were very courteous. Having served in the USMC and now with our baby brother in the Air Force, who's being deployed to Afgahnistan next month, It was a reunion with ALL my siblings that was nearly 12 years in the making. No details were overlooked!!! And talk about LOCATION... It's far enough from the noise and […] close enough to walk to all the "happenings" around town. It's PERFECTLY located a block from Royal, and 2 from Bourbon St. Definitely worth the money we spent! Mehr

Great hotel. Staff very nice. It was a pleasurable stay.

The staff is great and the room services was good. I do not often stay at a Marriott. This was my first time to the Crestant city also. I enjoyed both. If you are looking for some place clean comfortable and with in walking distance of the french quarter than this is your place. Also be sure to check out the Irvin Mayfield's IClub.

Overall the hotel looks great. The location is good. walk distance to shopping, restaurants, aquarium, etc. The service staffs are nice and pretty helpful. Only problem was that there were several small mold like spots in the grout on the wall of tub. The cleaning crew should be able to clean that up easily. The trash can wasn't clean between the stay […] either, not sure that is normal or not. Mehr

First of all, the description of the room that JW Marriott provided to Hotels.com was incorrect. They did not have a jetted tub, which was specifically why I arranged the room type that I did. The room was fine, not so much worth the "extra large" designation given the fact that all that means is that there is a large, empty entryway when you come into […] the room. It's not like you get extra seating or anything. Our room was missing a table (?). There was not 24 hour room service. The room attendant was asked (twice) for extra towels and counldn't get that done. They kept forgetting to put shampoo, etc in the bathroom. It was ridiculous. We stay at nice hotels when we travel - the Ritz, St. Regis, etc. I was excited to stay at the JW Marriott since I knew it was their high end offering. Completely underwhelmed. Mehr

Loved this hotel was perfect handy to French Quarter and all we wanted to see in our four days.

Great location - just cross Canal and walk right into the Quarter. Close to the good restaurants, a nice walk to the casino or Jackson Square. Spacious, QUIET, room away from the bustle of Bourbon St. The usual great service and friendly staff, couldn'y ask for more

The hotel was great, comfortable, courteous staff, just what you'd expect. My two comments are as follows: First, it is absolutely freezing in the hotel. We're talking the thermostat is set to 55 degrees. Constantly freezing. So, bring a sweater - at the conference I was there for, even the men in suit coats were cold. Second, if you are going to […] eat at the hotel restaurant (the food and drinks are certainly good), save yourself the drama and sit at the bar. The bartenders were all very friendly and attentive. The waitresses were being complained about the entire time I was there watching MNF. I saw the Manager being called out at least every 40 minutes, and heard nonstop complaints about the service. Great location and awesome room! Get the breakfast, its at shulas and its not continental! Fantastic, although my team lost :-(

Room was not cleaned till after I complained to desk. 9pm is a little to late for that stuff! The Mgr. did make it right after confrontation . The following morning at check out the car garage mgr. got an attitude ...needless to say I was in no mood . Other than that the 3 out 4 days went very well.

Though it was hot outside, the a/c kept us cool and comfortable. The room was very clean. Access to all the sites was an easy walk.. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again.

I travel a bit here and there and this is definetely a great value. The hotel was super clean, the room smelled like you walked into the Spa, service was amazing! I would highly recommend it!

It was very nice. Good location.

Room was very clean. Crisp white linens, high count cotton sheets and down pillows made bed extra comfortable. Front desk staff attentive. Only issue was with service at the restaurant for breakfast was disorganized -- but overall very satisfied.

We had a great time in New Orleans and staying at the JW Marriott made it even better! The room was very clean and the hotel itself very beautiful. The staff were all excellent and very accommodating. They even gave us a late check-out at no extra charge. The location is great and we will definitely stay here again!

The hotel itself is pretty nice, it was just a little bit difficult to find the entrance of the hotel due to all the one-way streets. The location of the hotel is very nice - less than 5 minutes walk away from Bourbon street! Parking is a little of a pain due to valet parking (and they charge you)... and sometimes it could take a while to get your […] car so make sure to call ahead of time to get your car. Mehr

This hotel is excellent! The rooms are very nice, the hotel is super clean, and we loved the location. It was close enough to easily walk to the French Quarter. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated as a guest. I mentioned when checking in that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we were pleasantly […] surprised to find chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of sparkling wine in our room the next evening. We would definitely stay here again. Be sure and try the restaurant Red Gravy around the corner. Mehr

I took my sister to NOLA for her 40th bday and this hotel was perfect in all aspects and we would stay here again.

outstanding stay & very polite staff, will stay again! Parking is very exspensive and my vechicle never went inside the garage. My vehicle was parked in the street and I was charged full parking rate. Not happy about parking!

Really enjoyed my 2 night stay at the hotel. Everything went well. Checking in and out was not a problem. The only slight issue i had was the temperature setting of the a.c. I like my room a lot colder than the setting. I understand energy control.

My only issue with the hotel was that I could hear the people in the next room talking as if they were in the room with me.

Great location, comfortable rooms and excellent service.

The room A\C could have been cooler...but other than that, great location, great service, beds are VERY comfy.

It is not always the case when I travel that I LOVE the hotel that I am staying at, but I can honestly say that my experience at the JW Marriott on Canal Street in New Orleans was exceptional. The rooms are medium sized and almost a bit too small, some pillows and blankets were washed a few times too many. The hotel is nicely located but has an impersonal touch. Parking is overpriced. The breakfast at the attached steak house worth the money, though. Location is great to explore the noisy french quarter and the quite warehouse district. […] The old tram to the Garden District is just around the corner. The pool is small and most of the time in the shadow of the building. If you get a good deal it is worth it. Mehr

Corner King Room is the best deal, with great view of the city and big room.
