Wir möchten immer ein Zimmer zum Hof haben und nicht eines im angrenzenden Hotelgebäude. Ich habe deshalb schon die teurere Zimmerkategorie gebucht mit 2 Betten. Aber wie letztes Mal 10 Dollar Upgrade gezahlt. Aber dafür super freundlicher Service. Super Preis Leistungsverhälltnis für San Francisco und tolle lage zu Fuß 5-10Minuten zur Fisherman-Warf. Auch parken für 12 Dollar in San Francisco ,es sind es in den meisten anderen Hotels 25-50 Dollar.Jederzeit wieder.

Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

"Westin Market Street :Good location but Generic"
One city block from Market Street makes it convenient to walk to everywhere, especially since taxi service is spotty. Homeless people around hotel location. So very sad.

The Westin never fails and SF Westin was spot on. From the room upgrade to the very friendly and helpful staff top notch. Good Happy hour great way to start our daughters 25th Birthday in the city... Thank you all.

The hotel is situated in Union Square. It's in the middle of everything. It's within walking distance to shopping and easy access to the trolley system. You can get to many great sites within 10 minutes.

The check in agent, unfortunately I do not remember her name, did an excellent job. She welcomed us, and helped us find a place to eat, and in addition she upgraded our room to a higher floor. "Decent, basic place in a good enough location"
Didn't love the hotel, but for what we paid it was solid. Awesome views of the city on the even-number room side. Close to some shopping, but not super close to the more unique neighborhoods - just a cab-ride away to those though! Rooms are a tad old looking and bathrooms aren't big, but whatever, it was a-ok. Great beds too

"Good Business Stay"
Stayed with my wife for a romantic getaway. The hotel is located in the heart of the SOMA district, within walking distance to Union Square, Embarcadero, Bart, Muni and always had taxis waiting outside the door. The interior of the hotel is very nice and inviting, the fitness center is well equipped with cardio and weight equipment. Our room was comfortable, […] but you do get a lot of street noise as the windows keep little out. I also found it very strange that the toilet /shower room was so compact. I'm average height and weight and still had little room to move unless standing in the shower. The hotel seems to cater more towards business clients who are staying on someone elses dime. We ordered room service for breakfast and not only was it expensive, but the food was very poor and not worth half of what we payed. If your coming to the city on business and just need a place to lay your head and something that provides a good place to get some exercise, this might be the place for you. A romantic getaway, I might look somewhere else in the city. Mehr

"The Westin San Francisco Market Street"
Excellent views. We stayed on the 32nd floor and had a great view of the Moscone center, AT&T part, and the major freeways. If you like taking night time pictures, you get a great view. Although I imagine the Union Square view is even more spectacular. Only complaint is that our room was next to the elevator. I would request another room next time.

"One of my favorites"
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and love it. The look of it is modern and clean. The staff is very helpful and the rooms amazing. The only caution I would have is that if you are driving in parking can be very expensive, but the hotel is next to the BART so, if you are so inclined, that is preferable. Location is excellent. Talk […] a walk up Kearny and make a left to Chinatown or stay on to Columbus and little Italy. Mehr

"Excellent experience!"
We came to San Francisco on a very hectic weekend -- Chinese New Year. Although the city was chaotic, our stay in the Westin was marvelous. Very courteous staff, clean and well-appointed room, and the bed was heavenly. We'd come back again.

"Wonderful Stay in SF"
Had a room on the 35th floor which provided an excellent view of the bay and the city. Hotel location is perfect for exploring the city and is walking distance to almost all the main attractions like Union Square, North Beach, Chinatown, and the Embarcadero. I will definitely be coming back here in the future!
"Westin Market Street - OK service"
I booked 2 rooms for 6 total guests on Hotels.com. As a part of that booking process I was asked to provide the name of someone who would be staying in the 2nd room. Of course, by the time I got to the hotel I had forgotten about that detail. I asked to check in to the 2 rooms I'd reserved. The staff told me their computer system only showed 1 room […] reservation under my name. 20 minutes and a phone call to Hotels.com later, I realized that the second room was under my friend's name, and was not in any way linked to my room even though I used the same credit card to pay for both at the same time. In the end, this is somewhat my fault and somewhat the fault of Hotels.com for not coordinating better with their member hotels. It was odd that the Westin Market Street staff did not even mention the possibility that the 2nd room could be under the name of someone else in my large party that was standing there waiting to check in. They just kept saying "no, you've only reserved one room, sorry - next guest, please". After the problem was sorted out the manager gave us all free drink tickets and free breakfast the next day, which was an acceptable resolution (I ordered a $75 scotch). Mehr

excellent and attentive service. King size room 8th floor tight on space, particularly shower/toilet room (almost have to get in tub to shut door). Low ceiling. Great location. Not noisy. Private cars to airport same cost as cabs.

The Westin is in a good area if you're attending a tradeshow at Moscone Center or interested in the very touristy areas. The room I stayed in (8th floor) was very small, extremely noisy, and not at all like the booking description described. So relived to find such a deal in this fantastic hotel.I was supposed to get 4-6 floor single room. I got a Double king room with beautiful bay view. Impecable! And service was top notch. Great Experience, room, location and service was terrific. The restaurant and bar in the hotel has a lot to be desired, but there are so many options right there.

We booked a room in the upper floors for 6 nights. The large window was facing to the south, ensured a sunny room with beautiful view to the SFMOMA, its park in the front and the southern part of San Francisco. Be careful of the double charging of your credit card for a deposit on check in. Also didn't get the bed size requested& room smelled stale, kind of smoky. View was great& hotel was nice.

The room was nice and met most of my needs. Enough towels, blankets, etc. For a lower floor room, the view was alright and the noise wasn't too bad. The in-room internet was unreliable/slow. The hotel staff were generally very nice and helpful. The location was great. Generally I like Westin hotels for the heavenly bed and shower. The main challenge with this hotel was the cleanliness. The armchairs in the room were somewhat soiled and it smelled musty. The hotel was in a good location near good shopping and local transportation. The complimentary hot cocoa and water in the lobby was a nice touch. The bar was a bit pricey. Overall a good experience.

Booked room on high floor. We were put on high floor overlooking city. Really good views. Best part of room was super comfortable beds. Great job Westin hotels. Their beds can not be beat. Great location close to restaurants and shopping. Park in garage behind hotel next to four seasons. Not cheap but secure and convenient. Elevator brings you out to […] little park next to hotel. For a night or 2 in sf, this is a great pick. It's close to all of the action and is very reasonably priced. Also, the rooms are pretty nice and spacious. Rate was great. Location is great. Doorman particularly helpful with parking options at hotel and public. Explained the pro/cons well. Great experience.
"Tiny charges"
Fine hotel through and through. I'm still somehow scandalized by a $4.50 charge for a small bottle of water or $14.95 for 24 hours of wireless. There are always easy workarounds, of course (delis, Starbucks in close proximity) but for a hotel that wants to create an easy and comfortable environment for business travel, Westin ought to avoid nickel-and-diming […] guests for run-of-the-mill services.
