I was not able to occupy the room since I got in a day later and was not allowed to use room because of extenuating circumstances. I am very disappointed you would not allow me to use my paid for room last night. My previous experience with you had been superb.

I felt crammed in a little room and it was not clean... Dust on fixtures was awful and the room seemed dingy.

Husband was there working in the area, so me and our granddaughter drove up to spend the week with him. It was a great location. close to stores and she 7 so Chuckie Cheese being right down the street was a great bonus for her.

Our family was here for a softball tournament. Hotel was close to the park and was a great value!

Dirty rooms ,dirty beds and carpet was very dirty!

This hotel is going through renovation, most of the rooms were out of service and the first one they gave me should have been also, the wallpaper was peeling off with MOLD under it.

The worst hotel ever, including staff! Lazy lazy people, no care whatsoever in taking care of guests.

Smoke detector had been disabled (even though it was a non-smoking room it is still shady), there was an ugly yellow iron stain on the counter top, the shower had no pressure and little hot water even though there were very few people staying there. Staff was very friendly. The location has really bad traffic at random times. Bed was very hard and the […] bedsheets were itchy (I'm not allergic to anything ). The whole place also had a funky kind of smell. But the breakfast was good enough, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Mehr

This hotel is awful. There were stacks of mattresses along the walls between rooms, which looked like they had been there for a long time. The bedroom was painted over wallpaper which was coming off of the wall. There was coffee in the room but no coffee maker. The television had some video game controller for the remote control (which had a 3 ft cable). […] The one elevator for the whole place smelled like burnt motor oil. Breakfast was limited. Mehr

And there was a whole pot of coffee on the sink when we checked in... and only one towel. Very disappointed.

This was a big weekend for us had been planned for 8 months. The hotel very tackey. There were mattresses stacked up against our window in front of our room when we got there. They stayed there all evening. There was not a clock in our room, when we asked they were rude. The phone had a short in it so it was un usuable. The faucet in the sink was broke, […] you had to be very careful when you turned on the water not to pull it apart. The cabinet under the sink had a face board on it which fell off when my knee hit it standing at the counter. Room was not clean at all. I could go on but i'm not. Will never make that mistake again. This was the most filthy hotel room I have ever stayed in. Obviously, housekeeping had taken a break in my room, which was located furthest from the office, so that no one could see her "resting." She must have eaten a snack bc she left crumbs, a used bobbie pin on the desk, the mirror was splashed with water stains where she had not re-cleaned it after […] her snack. Floors were black with stains and the room smelled musty. Even though my room was non smoking, when I rolled over in my bed that night, I smelled cigarette smoke on the bedding. If that weren't bad enough, I woke up with.....you guessed it.....red itchy bumps on my which I guess were from "bugs" in the bedding. I have never been so glad to leave a hotel in my life!!!!! Probably the nicest "cheap" hotel I have ever stayed in. We have to take our daughter to UAB Children's Hospital every six months and chose this hotel due to location and price. We were pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We will def stay here again on our next trip. The stay was pleasant, but the carpet could have been cleaner. My grandchildren visited me and then could not play on the floor. Carpet Stains. Room Service was very helpful.

Good location but the hotel was not good. I know I was allowed to smoke which was great but the room were old and smelled moldy not smokey. The pool was old and alot of construction workers parked their vehicles right by the pool.

This is the first time I have ever felt the need to write a review on anything. This hotel could be described as a roachmotel. The room had a bad odor, the bathroom was dirty, the toilet was loose, the towels were itchy and rough, the carpet didnt look like it had been vacuumed in months, and the water was scalding hot! The bottom of the pool looked […] like it needed to be cleaned. The staff seemed ok, although I didnt have a lot of interaction with them. We prepaid for the room but it still took us over 40 minutes to get checked in, and after a five hour drive to this location this was very aggravating. Due to the long check in wait we missed a pinning ceremony for my sister, very disheartening......will not visit this location again. Mehr

Hotel Staff was slow in getting us settled and room keys were broken. Promised two rooms next to each other because we had children and they were not close at all. was nervous for them all night.

well, what can i say. the wife and i wanted to get away for a night,what a mistake. got to the room and there was not even an alarm clock. well, we will give them the benefit of the doubt.... nope. what- no refrigerator, must be a mistake because the hotel rep said there was one when we made the reservation. well,you always get three strikes before […] you are out.... bam, no way to lock the bathroom door. no problem, i am a handy man, wrong, nothing to work with because there was no door handle on the door. unbelievable.... started looking for a phone book, bingo... found one! maybe my luck is changing.... wrong! started looking,no Gideon bible in the room??????? what is up with this? We stood here for one night. We chose this hotel because it was across the street from Knott's. Overall it was ok. The room was very clean, as well as the bathroom. A bit outdated, but what do you expect for the price? My only complaint was that there was a couple of stains on the carpet. the desk clerk was rude i purchesed 2 rooms he could only give me on the same floor...we were suppose to get joining rooms or rooms next to each other...I would NOT stay at this hotel again it was very dirty and the shower was not roomy at all...the folks that checked in ahead of me come to get another room the ceiling was in thier bed when they entered […] into their room Beware if you stay!!! On arrival I learned the pool was not working which should have been a sign for things to come. My family and I unloaded our stuff went up to the second floor and got to our room. As I opened the door a pungent order overwhelmed us. There was a dehumidifier running trying to dry the place out. The carpet was gross and the toilet didn't flush. I was given a refund and we check out of this dump and went a few exists down and stayed at the Comfort Inn and suites. Mehr

We were satisfied with the quality of the hotel for the economy rate we were able to secure. We only needed a couple of overnight stays to conduct business in the area. Was not using it for a vacation destination, so the facilities were adequate for our needs. It was very close to the Riverchase Galleria Mall and other good shopping locations.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff if nice but the room was not. The bed was made and sheets clean but the floors were dirty and sticky. The bathroom had mold in a number of places and appeared and smelled unclean. It was a great price and we thought "you get what you pay for."

Don't reserve a room here. Not even if it is "just for one night", don't do it. Find a Choice Hotel

Quick trip for a concert. Arrived saturday afternoon and left sunday morning. Was not in the room that much. It was good for what I needed. They also have a continental breakfast even though the rate said breakfast not included. It was too busy to take advantage of though. There is a Hardee's within 1 block. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever had my family in. The carpet was covered in big stains, there was big clumps of hair on the floor in the bathroom, The tub had huge clumps caulking covering rust spots, the place to hang your clothes was a wal-mart cabinet, there was dust all along the walls trash piled up behind the TV. This is possibly the worst hotel I have booked. When we first arrived, it looked as though it might have been ok. First the front desk clerk, Mike put us in a room that was already occupied. We went back downstairs to get another room, this room wasn't very clean at all. My girlfriend proceeded to cleaning the room so we would be comfortable enough […] to stay in the room. She then called downstairs and Mike tried to accomodate us by giving us another "bigger" room with a fridge and microwave so he says but it was the same size as te other with no fridge or microwave. Needless to say I will never book a room here again for my family or my employees. Mehr

the hotel is on the downward swing of closing it seems. the pool was out of order. this wasn't noted online or i wouldn't have stayed there. the people working at the hotel were very nice. no problems in that department. they seem to need more help though. i would have to continuously call to get anyone to answer. if you want a cheap place to stay, […] this is it. you get what you pay for. i've stayed at pricier hotels and i get better accommodations. the beds were pretty bad on my back. it was a place to sleep though. i wasn't looking for fancy so it was just fine. i would stay there again if i had to, but would try my best to find somewhere else if the funds were available for me to. nothing gross going on at the hotel, just seemed like it has been "let go" so to speak. Average hotel, but a good value for the price. Safe area.

Personnel were great but the condition of the room was not worth the price paid.

Bed was unvelievably small, I am 5 ft 11 and my feet hung off the edge. dirty sheets with bloodstain. Toilet dirty and barely flushed. Brown smelly water came out of faucet. Good location for concert though. Not worth the money at all

Unable to shower or shave as there was NO HOT WATER for the two nights I stayed!!

The staff was fantastic. It being an older place could have used some sprucing. All & all it was a good trip.

We had really good accomodations; the clerk got us checked in rapidly. Our room was sufficiently clean. There was a piece of paper between the beds. Linens were great; generous towels. The breakfast was satisfying and healthy with whole wheat options. There was internet available.

Very disappointed with bed and condition of the bathroom (leaked). I asked for a refund and was told that the manager would give me a call on Monday. He/she did not call and didn't return my calls when I tried to contact him/her. I won't stay at this property ever again and probably will pass up other owned properties as well.
