The rooms were mostly clean, the staff when we checked in was very courteous, however the breakfast was not very good, and they stand guard at the breakfast bar and at both doors to the breakfast room and will not let you take food or coffee back to your room with you. They require that you eat it there which to me was an inconvenience when I sent my […] husband down to get me a cup of coffee and he was not allowed to bring it back up to me. It was very uncomfortable. However, because the rooms were clean we will be staying again, just not counting on their breakfast in the morning! Mehr

Good location, clean room, typical Best Western. Hint: if you want some privacy, do not get a room on the first floor. The window shades cannot be closed.

The staff was delightful, the room comfortable and the pool, hot tub and exercise room nice. Simple repairs are not being done very well. The toilet seat was loose and the toilet itself loose to the floor. The exhaust fan made a horrible noise when running. The heater also rattled terribly when it was running. The egg patties ranged from all right […] to dry and inedible, and exactly the same thing is served every day - which doesn't include much in the way of healthy choices. The coffee was consistently weak, and often tasted old or burned later in the day. I would not stay here again, although I really did find the staff extremely friendly and helpful in those areas they had control. Mehr

Had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was above average for a continental. Close to an assortment of restaurants and shopping.

They make you feel good. Good people trying hard to please.

When we were leaving we found condoms, golf balls, and surgical gloves in the drawers. This was not a pleasant thing to find. We informed the hotel staff on our exit and they were not concerned at all. The overall cleanliness of the room was not very good. Will not stay here again.

This hotel was very clean, good amenities including pool and hot tub. Full breakfast was a big plus. All personnel were very helpful and welcoming.

I was impressed with the cleanliness and quality of our room. The microwave and refridge in the room was great! The bathroom is small with only a tub/shower and toilet and the sink outside the door. But with more than one person staying in the room, I think the sink outside the bathroom makes getting ready easier. The indoor pool and hottub were nice […] when not crowded. Hotel staff was friendly but we didn't need much from them. Breakfast was typical of self serve breakfasts (make-your-own waffles toast, pre-cooked sausage and eggs and coffee). We chose to walk 2 minutes to Dunkin Donuts instead. This hotel is one of many located right off 71 outside of the city. It was convienient for travel but not the best for scenery. Surprisingly, there are sidewalks alongside the 4 lane highway. We walked to the stores and resturants rather than sit in the traffic. All in all, I would stay here again. Mehr

The front office clerk was rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic office skills. I was making my reservations with her when the phone rang. She completely disreguarded me and took the phone call. It lasted 3-4mins. Meanwhile, another customer approached the counter. When she got off the phone she DID NOT come back to me to finish my reservation... she […] told me, "One moment." and attended to the customer BEHIND me instead. We stayed at the Best Western (Mason, Ohio) for one night following a day at the King's Island Amusement Park. My son (now 20yrs old) and I have an annual tradition of visiting the park and staying at the Baymont/Budgetel/LaQuinta in that area, but this time I tried something different. We loved the Best Western! The room was great and my 3 yr old nephew […] enjoyed the pool. My only complaint would be that the hot tub was barely warm, but with a 3 yr. old I couldn't really utilize it anyway. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful! This stay met all of our needs for sleep, fun and food! Mehr

The door for the rear entrance to the hotel was broken so that it remained unlocked all of the time. This gave me concerns about safety. Anyone could enter at any time. Also, at one point housekeeping came to the room for daily maintanance and we were told that they were out of towels! Housekeeping told us that they would return later once clean towels […] were available but never did. When I called the front desk to inquire I was told I would have to get towels from the front desk myself. Breakfast buffett left much to be desired and one morning went down to find that the coffee urn had been broken. It was not replaced prior to our departure. Mehr

After traveling to Mason to go to Kings Island's Halloween Haunt, the Best Western was a nice and welcoming hotel. It was incredibly comfortable, and the staff was hospitable and sweet. The continental breakfast was great, although I wish they had more fruit options (I'm vegan and don't eat most of what they had). Overall, it was a fantatstic hotel […] choice. Mehr

Electric for hair dryer and coffee pot did not work water in the bathtub did not drain sheets were not changed carpet was not swept

SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A NONSMOKING ROOM . ROOM HAD SMELL OF CIGARETTS DURING OUR STAY . MY CAR NEEDED SERVICE AT LOCAL FIRESTONE . WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF HOTEL COULD HAVE PROVIDED A RIDE AROUND THE CORNER .

No real complaints. Would stay there again.

Hotel was clean, accessible and was happy except when I made reservation through Holel.com I asked rep for 2 adjoining rooms, one for me and one for my kids. the rooms were not adjoining. other than that everything was good.

I had 2 booking on hotels.com for this hotel. The first went fine. on the 2. and had same nosmoking booked as before(with an agent of hotels.com). even paid a higher rate for the nonsmoking! But the hotel didnt have any nonsmoking rooms! Hotels.com just sent a request for nonsmoking took my extra money for that and then left me completly alone with […] the problem. Even my confirmation didnt say anything about smoking room! The staff of the hotel was great,not only here to help me! Mehr

I think that one of the things which stuck in my mind the most was the breakfast. While it met the description, it was far from pleasant... The halls smelled like smoke and the room was pretty musty. On the up side, the receptionist was a very nice guy (filling in from another hotel), who was quite accommodating and gave a awesome recommendation on […] where to find great Indian food in the area. The room itself was clean. However, we we're in a non-smoking room, but the smoke and stench from the smoking rooms (across the hallway) made this the worst hotel stay in a long time.

Room was as stated, very comfortable and clean. Employee's were friendly and courteous, had a very nice comp. breafast...would return or recommend !

We only needed it for one night but it was very comfortable and clean!

We had a very nice stay. We were very impressed with just about everything. They offer a very good breakfast which is included as part of your stay. The hot tub was just wonderful. If I had to say anything negative, the swimming pool was too cold. The beds were very comfortable and CLEAN! We would definately recommend this hotel if you are visiting […] Kings Island. Mehr
