Always have a good stay at Residence Inn @ Marriott.

I was attending a conference at Scripps and booked the hotel room late. There were no more rooms available in the recommended hotels. This looked like it was near enough so I booked it. Thankfully, they had a shuttle that will take to where you need to go and pick you up after. When I arrived, I went out for a jog and came back to a BBQ dinner at the […] hotel. They even had wine/beer! I was trying to make a juice machine work and I was told by a staff member that it was only for breakfast. She later looked for me in the dining hall and asked if I wanted juice. She gave me a bottle of orange to enjoy with my meal. Breakfast was also filling and included eggs, cereal, fruit, and meat. I truly enjoyed my stay and wished I could have stayed longer. It is not far from the beach although you would have to take the shuttle to get there. Mehr

Our ground floor room was next to a hottub, which brought noise from frolickers all night. Our tenants above every step and move was heard as well. A small suite not enough for more than one person. TV was broken. Replaced with a call. Clean, yes. Breakfast was free, and very good.

We had a good time at the hotel. The room was clean, kitchenet was well supplied and clean too. Bed was comfortable. We had a little problem with the bathroom, water in the toilet kept running and nobody came to fix it even after my husband made a call. We went to San Diego safari park and asked front desk representatives to help us with directions. […] They were nice enough to print us these directions, and it had discounted park tickets on the printout. Well, when we got to the park and tried to purchase these discounted tickets, we were told that to get the discount we had to purchase them at the hotel! So, just because receptionist at the hotel did not tell us that in order to get these discounted prices we had to buy through the hotel, we spent $50 more for these tickets. very friendly, helpful staff. Hotel in good condition, very clean and well kept. Nice fitness center.

Likes: sweet smelling room, fireplace, modern room, nice kitchen, cleanliness, large arrangement of breakfast food to accommodate the enormous amount of people eating breakfast, the breakfast food was good and I felt safe in the neighborhood . Dislikes: the couch in the room to sit on to watch the tv was uncomfortable, the bed was too firm, the kids […] in the room above us woke us up early Sunday morning (? insulation in ceiling), and the breakfast at 9:20 am (it's over at 10 am). One, I felt claustrophobic with all the people in the room who were pushing, shoving to get the food. And no wonder because in 5 minutes it was gone. I had to ask the wait staff to refill the eggs, the bacon, the oatmeal condiments, and the salsa (at separate times). They were nice but there was only 2 of them-I thought they needed more help for the volume of people there. Breakfast Bottomline: Eat at Cody's in La Jolla or somewhere else! Mehr

My wife, 9-month old daughter, and i stayed for one night. The room was very nice and clean and comfortable. We had a Baby Shower to go to the next day at 3pm, and we were given late check out to get the baby ready in the room before we left. The buffet breakfast was very nice. It had many choices for Vegetarians, as well. We asked for a Pack-and-Play […] for the baby when we checked in 9pm and it was brought to us right away (very important when you have a sleeping infant you want to put down for the rest of the night). We also asked for dish washing soap to clean baby supplies and it was delivered without any problems. I would look to stay there again as my first choice when back in the La Jolla area. Mehr

Great hotel, very homey. the only annoying thing is finding parking, otherwise its 12$ to park on the premise.

Yes, I would recommend this Hotel to everyone, In fact on August 13 of this year I sent my Daughter (Kelsie) and Son in Law (John Root) there for their Honey Moon and they said they had a blast. The pool was great, people were friendly and the location was excellent.

My husband and I like to stay here when taking our daughter back to school; it's convenient to the UCSD campus. It has a nice homey feeling (the rooms with a kitchenette).

I stayed here as my son joined as freshman at UCSD. The hotel is very convinient for back and forth trip to UCSD. I did not have to hire a car as the shuttle service provided by the hotel is extremely good and the Van drivers Chris and Ali are very helpful. They even dropped me at odd times and made sure I was always picked up on time. The daily breakfast […] is sufficient though it is always a lot of rush in the morning. Best part is the free evening munches on Mon, Tue and Wed from 5 till 7pm. I did not have to go out to eat as the food was sufficient for my dinner. My son moved into his dorm comfortably due to the shuttle service and he could come and see me anytime as the hotel is located on MTS bus route 150 and free for students. Overall a good experience and would recommend it for parents of UCSD students. For others it might be far from Downtown and other San Diego activities. Mehr

We encountered 2 employees during our short stay at your hotel who warrant recognition for making our stay more than just a generic hotel experience. The woman who checked us in was a most pleasant introduction (don't know her name) to the hotel. Professional and patient (we were tired and irritable when we arrived)...she helped get our evening back […] on track.. But the employee who prompted us to write this review was a young Asian woman (named Rachel I believe) who coordinated the breakfast with an incredibly positive, helpful, self-assured manner (never mind the nice fellow working helping looked like he was moving at glacial speed compared to her)...She is a top candidate for hotel manager from our perspective. she took pride in getting her most challenging job done well and professionally...Amazing kid who will go far in life, hopefully with your company if you are smart!!! The Grounds are very nice and it is just a few blocks from UCSD (we were there for a graduation). They wanted to charge for things that we found strange. You park your car outside near your room like most motels but they wanted to charge $12.00 for the non-survice. There was a fireplace in the room but they wanted us to buy a fire log at the lobby. […] These are not deal changers but they seemed cheep. Mehr

This hotel was close to everything in La Jolla and to the highway. The room was clean and comfortable. We particularly liked having a kitchen and living room space to spread out in. The free breakfast was just so-so. We would come back to this place.

great value for the price, comfy modern suite with full kitchen with everything you need to cook & eat, nice heated pool & jaccuzi, great hot breakfat buffet, you can make your own waffles. plus they have eggs, bacon, biscuits, muffins, oatmeal, fresh furit and great coffee. I wouldefinitely stay there again, very close to La Jolla Shores & Cove. excellent […] neighborhood, near movies, Trader Joes, shopping, directly behind El Torrito too...great little vacation. This is a place that you definitely need to have a car just to get from the office to your room! I was there at a conference for a couple of days without a car. It took forever lugging around my baggage before I found my room. But other than that little inconvenience it is a great place to stay.

If you are going to UCSD or for a good time in La Jolla, this is your place!

Studio suites are very comfortable -- location is great -- included breakfast is very good.

The hotel was very nice, the staff extremely responsive, the rooms comfortable and clean. The location is convenient to both San Diego and points north of La Jolla and easily accessible to I-5.

We love having a full kitchen when we are traveling with our children it saves alot of money when you don't have to eat out every meal. For the most part the staff was very helpful and friendly.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very roomy and very clean. The service was impeccable as well. The only criticism I have is that the hot tub outside our room was a bit questionable. The water was very cloudy and did not look too clean. I am planning a return trip to the area in November and will most definitely try to stay […] here again. Mehr

Muito bacana , os chalezinhos são pequenos mas limpos , novos , cheirosos e bem localizados . Em San Diego eu recomendo ele e também o Hard Rock hotel ( outro estilo ) 5 estrelas , bem situado no coração do famoso Gas Lamp , com decoração arrojada e estilosa ... é bem legal para quem esta sem carro

UCSDへの仕事のためこのホテルを借りました。UCSDからもレンタカーですぐでしたし、仕事で遅くなるのでフルキッチンがついているのが大変ありがたかったです。部屋は広くてゆったりできるので、仕事で滞在するときには良いと思います。近くには、La Jolla Vellage Square（小さいモールですがRalphs、Trader Joe's、California Pizza Kitchen、Ross、Marshalls、Cost Plusなどの店舗が入っている）があり、大変便利でした。レンタカーでちょっと走ればデパートがいくつか入っているUTCもありますし、I-5からもすぐなので、北へ２０分ほど走ればCarlsbadのアウトレットにも行かれます。ゲストハウスで出されるビュッフェの朝食も良く、特 […] に自分で作るパンケーキにはまって、毎日作りました。一回だけ出たクラムチャウダーがおいしかったです。また利用したいと思います。 Mehr

Perfect accomodation for family travellers. Nice environment.

UCSDで学会があったので３泊した。 　部屋は、キッチンが着いており長期滞在に便利。 　ショッピングセンタや、レストランも５分程度で歩いていける。 　部屋の設備は、少し古いが問題は無かった。 　朝食は、バイキング。　質はもう一つであるが、量は十分。 　金、土、日と泊まったので、グループや、家族連れが多かった。 　ベッドのスプリングは、もう一つ。
