Embassy Suites Austin Central - Austin

The room on 3rd floor had continuous cigaret smell. This might be someone adjacent to our room was a smoker and ruined experience for us. They tried to run some machine but it was a temporary fix and only worked for an hour or so. We were also not very satisfied with cleaning service who skipped cleaning on one of day's and naturally we had to ask for […] towels ( something they should have done when we told of skipped service). On plus side they have free breakfast and you get to order to make omeletes. Additionally swimming pool was also useful. Last and best part was free shuttle to 5 mile radius which we used on more than once. I would recommend it if it's not too full so you have some option of room switch ( in case you are not smoker). Negatives: some rooms have strong cigarette smoke smell. We came in late and tired so just slept. My eyes were red with smoke smell next morning. When we raised they issue, they put in some machine for couple of hours to run. It made things more bearable but smell came back within couple of hours again. They did not change our room and we had to suffer […] this for rest of stay. They also missed cleaning the room on one of 4 days we stayed there. WiFi keeps breaking in the middle of things. Positive: breakfast, pool and shuttle service. Staff is generally helpful. Shuttle drivers are really good. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was good and the bed was very comfortable. The shuttle took us down to 6th Street each night we were there and all we had to do was take a cab back. The cab fare from downtown to the hotel was only $20, which was affordable. We were not able to find a hotel downtown at a reasonable price and this was a good alternative […] particularly because of the convenience of the shuttle. Mehr

2nd day, that did not restock the coffee, cups or wash cloths. Went to front desk and they sent someone up with coffee, but still did not bring enought cups. need to make sure they are stocking everything correctly.

Overall satisfaction was good. I would stay there again!

We have stayed at quite a few hotels in Canada and the United States and this one, by far, is the most accessible we have ever had the pleasure of frequenting. They are 100% DEAF FRIENDLY!!! We will go back there next time we are in Austin for sure :)

Most hotels offer free wireless internet usage... NOT EMBASSY!!! I asked the front desk clerk and she said it'll be 10+ $$$ That is ridiculous! Not only was she rude about it but basically not helpful at all. I will never stay at an Embassy again...EVER!!! They are usually more expensive anyway but the free breakfast (in my opinion) makes up for it. […] But the service, long wait, lack of food and quality of food has definitely made me reconsider. Don't bother asking for free internet ( like most hotels offer and for a lower priced room)!!! The Embassy has been my favorite hotel for years but this was the third and last strike! I'll never stay there again. Uncomfortable/ dirty rooms and rude front desk personnel is not a good combination.

I almost hate to reccommend this hotel because it is really so AWESOME! The breakfast is the best I've ever seen and the happy hour is great. The pool area is really really nice. We Love it!

I expected the rooms to be dated but it was in great condition. All of the finishes ie: carpeting, bedding, fixtured seemed to be newer. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! Quick drive to UT and downtown. Worth the savings when compared to hotels closer to downtown if you will be driving anyway.

One before the last stay was good but this last 2 time was a lot of color peoples is not that I don't like them but was they are so loud and the parking lot was bad.

It was great, centrally located to all places we had planned to go. Breakfast was great as well as staff very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. Would stay here again!

The hotel is very convenient to downtown and all nightlife and businesses. It is not the best Embassy Suites I have stayed. Just OK but all in all I would stay again while traveling to Austin.

The hotel was nice as to be expected. Near the freeway was good. No one to help with lugage. The check in staff were very helpful. And the breakfast was good. The holel was centrally located, but I should have stayed at the Embassy suites closer to down town.

Very pleasant stay at this hotel, nice room, nice atrium. Free breakfast with omelets cooked to order, and a members reception in the evenings.

I stayed here when visiting friends and family for just 1 night. I chose Embassy b/c I always use them on business trips. No matter where I stay I can always count on them being the same. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. And, they always have an awesome happy hour in the evening. They also have an excellent breakfast compared to other hotels, […] with made to order omelets, french toast, pancakes, bacon...etc etc.. I always know what to expect when staying at Embassy Suites, and this location did not dissapoint! Mehr

This hotel was beyond nice, it was our anniversary getaway, but we took our kids along and this place was perfect!!!! Embassy Suites is always our choice during the state basketball tournaments. It is convenient to the tournament site, has a great breakfast, and the happy hour is refreshing.

Took a while for the room to cool off. Felt like it was humid in the room, but the room itself was awesome. The fridge didn't get very cold but if you put stuff right under the freezer portion, it kept it cold. Would easily stay there again and again. Price is good for what all you get!

I would have preferred a parking garage, but the lot looked relatively safe. The TV in the living area had a malfunction, the water in the sink in the bedroom didn't get warm at all... but really those are nothing compared to the room, the service and the overall experience.

The service and staff at this hotel were excellent. Even though it was booked solid all our requests were met very quickly. Cleanliness was very good. However if you are extremely sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke beware. The halls smelled heavily and it was noticeable in our "non-smoking" room. The lobby and public areas were very nice, but […] the furniture in the room was worn. It is an older hotel and could use some updating in the rooms. The suite we stayed in was very comfortable. My husband and I stayed in the room with our 3 adult children (18-23) and were fine. The area of Austin is not the best. About 5 miles north of downtown but allow 30-45 mins to get there due to traffic. Mehr

This is an older Embassy Suites and it is just ok. Fine for the price but not exactly what I have come to expect from the Embassy Suites brand. We arrived late and check in took way to long but other than that our stay was fine. Breakfast and the indoor pool are always great at Embassy Suites and this hotel was no exception.

Embassy Suites has been our favored hotel for several years because of room size and comfort and we will continue to take advantage of the accomodations; however we used room service for the first time for our dinner on Saturday and were terribly dissappointed with the quality of the meal. We also were disturbed by children running up and down the corridors […] until late hours. Mehr

My husband and I had stayed here before and we were not disappointed this time. The only negative thing was that the air conditioner in this particular room started making a noise during the night. It wasnt bad enough for me to complain, and that is the only thing like that that has happened in the two times we have stayed here. We use this hotel when we visit our daughter in Austin. It sits within a mile of all the major freeways, I35, 290 and 183 making it easy to access. It's a very comfortable hotel with a very friendly staff. We were called by name when we checked in and every time thereafter. It is one of the Hilton's older hotels, but older doesn't necessarily mean run […] down. That being said there was maintenance on two of the four elevators while we were there. I'd hate to see this property go away and hope it will be there for years to come. It's close to the downtown area as well with beautiful views in all directions from the upper floors. We will use this hotel again and recommend it for business or pleasure. Mehr

There was something for my entire family to enjoy, from early morning swim, or short work out at the gym . My 2 sons most important request is continental breakfast , clean room and clean swimming pool. All accommodations met their approval and they no request to always stay from now on at a Embassy Suite Hotel

A clean, hotel offering a free Happy Hour in the evening and a delicious free breakfast in the morning was a good value for a family.

We had the best time in this facility. Our party stayed three days. The faculty and staff went above and beyond to make sure that our stay there was FIVE STARS. This was not my first stay with the hotel, however it was the BEST! They have ALL of the a that we were looking for .. and believe mmenitiesme we needed a lot. I would like to personnaly thank.... […] Customer Service (front desk).... (ALL of THEM), the Shuttle (guys), and all the staff. You guys are amazing. This hotel was perfect for our family of 5. Great room -- love the real suites (separate rooms, not a half wall) -- and great breakfast and happy hour. Only complaint was the pull out couch mattress. It was worthless and very uncomfortable-- kind of defeating the purpose of having the separate rooms and pull-out bed. It wasn't however, bad enough to […] deter us from staying here again. Mehr

Staying at the Embassy Suite was an enjoyable experience. I cannot say enough about the breakfast, it was awesome! Everyone was very nice and polite. I will always select the Embassy Suite as my first choice to stay when I travel. Thank you!

Free drinks for a couple hours in the evening. Great free breakfast. Great service. Great pool. A little dated but still very nice.

Within easy driving to the University and downtown. Stay was very satisfactory. The breakfast is superior.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was clean, the food was good, and the staff was courteous and prompt. I will stay here again.
