"Best Reasonable Hotel in Bham"
This hotel has a great location with the pretty Colonnade fountains out front and easy access to Hwy 280. It's also easy to get to I-65 from here. It's about halfway down 280, which is nice if you have things to do at the summit (shopping) or further down 280 but also want to be fairly close to Homewood, Mountainbrook and even downtown. There is some […] 5pm 280 traffic but at least it's only halfway down 280. The rooms are so quiet, very private. I stayed at the la quinta in Homewood this same trip for around the same price and it is just not as comfortable and does not have the privacy. The doors seal at the base and around the edges so you don't have issues with rowdy neighbors. Great, clean shower. The breakfast was free and expanded continental with a few hot choices. Very friendly staff. I would stay here again, but not the homewood la quinta. Mehr

Stay was ok, room was small but beds were very very comfortable, conveniant fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Friendliness was not a strong point, clerk should find another job. Breakfast was absoluteyl great and worth the price of the hotel itself.

I have stayed at this hotel MANY time over the years and I've never been disappointed!! Why you ask?? 1. Members of the staff have been there for years which you don't often see! 2. Excellent hotel, great breakfasts, very pleasant help. There are loads of restaurants and great shopping center nearby, plus our grand children live close by in Vestavia Hills, Al.
Hotel just went through a renovation. Close to everything near 280 and the Summitt. Beds were very comfortables.

we have always been very satisfied with the consistent quality of hampton inns. my only suggestion would be an improvement in the accounting system.

Hard to find but once you do, nice older Hampton. Staff was great and suggested some really good restaurants.

The location of this hotel was great. Dining and shopping was very close, as well as multiple places in walking distance. As for the room, it was the typical Hampton Inn layout. The room provided did have a couple of issues. One was the shower drain was clogged. The bathroom also has a drain in the middle in addition to the shower drain, in which the […] water would drain. The problem with this is the bathroom floor would be soaked after a shower; kind of gross. Secondly the bathroom faucet pressure was very low, as it would literally take 7 minutes for the water to get warm. At first I had ask for a different room, but the hotel was full and no other rooms were available. However I was told building maintenance would look into these items while I was out for the day. Upon returning to the room; nothing was done to resolve the issues reported. Would I stay here again? Yes, but not in room 102. Staff was very friendly. Mehr

Nice clean Hotel for the price. Free breakfast with hot eggs, waffles, coffee......and a clean environment. Not the Ritz Carllton, but I would stay here again on a budget. Plus, the staff is BEYOND friendly!!

"Great hotel !"
This is a very nice hotel in a quiet upscale neighborhood. The room was well appointed, large and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Will certainly stay here again.

Hampton Inn at the Colanade. Super comfort & service. Have been staying here for 20 years. Absolutely the best breakfast. Just seems to keep getting better. Very close to dining, entertainment & shopping. Highly recommend for a comfortable, relaxing stay.
