Sheraton Dallas Hotel by the Galleria - Dallas

The staff was really nice and friendly. But we had several problems. First of all we tried to swim in the "heated" pool, but it was freezing and there were no towels, and they told us not to take the room towels. Then we had to change rooms at 10:30 pm because we had no water pressure and couldn't take showers. The staff was very helpful. There we also […] alot of teenagers running from room to room being very loud. Once we moved to a different floor that problem went away. The other issue was the beds and linens. That was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in and the sheets were stiff and noisy. Did not sleep well at all. The bathrooms were really small also. Mehr

I thought the the lobby was renovated very nicely. It was really modern, open, and airy. The hotel staff was friendly and super helpful. I was here for a friend's wedding and the accommodations were great. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the tub in the restroom. Everything else was renovated in the hotel but they left out the tub […] (it looked older and the caulking was just laid over the old caulking, I'm guessing). Also, the elevators were slow as all get out, especially during pike hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) I guess that's all just minor details. At least the restroom was clean and I didn't starve to death because of the slow elevators. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. Mehr

I enjoyed my stay here very much. The hotel was clean and very modern. The breakfast buffet in the morning is one of the best I've had. My only complaint is that the water pressure from my shower was a little weak, but that could just be my own personal quirk. This is a very nice hotel. I will definitely stay here in the future.

My wife and I needed a weekend away from the kids but want to loose the feeling of a relaxing vaction. In just a one night stay we were able to get everything we were looking for at the Sheraton at galleria. We will be back soon if not to stay then at least to eat at their amazing resturant and bar.

Overall the stay was great, bar is a little expensive, there was a lot of construction around the hotel, and in the room the sink wouldn't drain. Service was great, I call front desk and within 20 min they had someone in the room fixing it.

Everithing Ok but: 1. Breakfast always COLD, Two days, both days the food was cold. 2. I paid in full for 2 nights but they took $50 from my credit card anyway with the promise of a credit which takes more than one week. I did not use anything but they took my money anyway. 3.No free Wifi in the rooms as my agreement promised.

This hotel had too be one of the worst place I've stayed at.. For having a recent renevation sure doesn't seem like it.. The only renevation was the hotels first floor.. Dirty bed sheets, dirty towles.. Asked for new sheets and towles and got dirtier... It just didn't meet my expectation major dissapointment..

They asked me to pay $10 per day for the parking and $11.95 per day for internet while checking in. I showed them my reciept from hotel.com which stated all of above should be free. One person at front desk responsed he could only took one item off after asking their manager. I was unhappy and insisted that they need to do so. Eventually, the charges […] were taken care of. It was not too bad but you probably need to be careful about the charges from this hotel. Otherwise, I have a great experience to stay here. Mehr

this is a very nice hotel with extremely helpful, friendly, and professional staff. the security of the hotel is comforting and puts you at ease. the rooms are well decorated with comfortable beds. i would definitely return to this establishment.

Hotel is located right by highway 635 and Galleria mall. Location is excellent. Room is clean and updated but the double beds are small. One of the elevators was broken and the other two were slow, which made it very inconvenient to get in and out of hotel. No fridge in our room + no fan in the bathroom which made the hotel room fairly humid after shower. […] The hotel staff are helpful when they have time; they were bombarded by calls on the telephone while we were there. Hotel under renovation, understand it will be closed completely within the week for About four months.

Unfortunately, my stay was less than I had anticipated. The room key failed to work ( several were issued during my 3 night stay), the room was never made up the last day I was there. When I called to ask Housekeeping why this may have been, they didn't really have a response and told me to check with the manager. The manager had gone home ( 5pm). The hotel was comfy, but I've had better for the price. In the shower, there was hair on the walls. That, in itself, was gross. No fridge/microwave. The location was good to the malls and shopping centers, but there was a lot of construction going on!

This wasn't the worst hotel in the world to stay in. But the website makes it look much more up to date than it really is. You can really tell how poorly it is managed by the lack of hotel staff and lack of friendliness when you walk in. The bar staff seemed more in a hurry to get rid of you than they did on serving you. We arrived later in the evening […] and there was only one front desk clerk to help 15+ people standing in line. The rooms aren't bad, but the walls are paper thin. We opted for no housekeeping since we were only there for the weekend and they wanted to charge me $2.50 for a coffee packet for my wife on the final day even though the original supply hadn't been replaced the entire visit. The hallways also smelled like smoke and mildew. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Could be an alright place, but they are trying to do too much with too little. Mehr

We wanted a hotel close to the Galleria. We only spent one night on our way to Galveston for a cruise. The Galleria was very close. Wanted to use the shuttle service but would have had to wait 20 minutes so chose to drive ourselves. Very reasonable rate through hotels.com.

Easy access to anywhere in the Dallas area. Me and my family went to a concert at Fair Park. I was so quick to get there and back. The comfort and quietness of the hotel was great.

My wife and I stayed there and we would recommend the hotel to others. Was there on a saturday night and did not use their restaurant or their pool

I think i left my glasses in the room, called front desk - who relayed message to house keeping. House keeping called and advised they were not in possession, but would talk with the person that cleaned my room and "go from there". To date, no further contact...one way or the other.

Most convenient location we have encountered in Dallas. In a city in which getting around can be a challenge due to heavy traffic, road construction, we found the location to be perfect in all aspects. Friendly service and comfortable room.

everything you would expect...

This was my second stay at this hotel. I love the rooms and location. We even visited to hotel lounge on this visit. My only minor complaint is that there was not any music in the lounge. Other than that, PERFECT!!!!

I'm glad I didn't need it for anything more than a place to lay my head. It wasn't close to downtown unless I had a rental car to make the 20 min drive. My only pet peeve was the noisey air conditioner. It inconsistently squealed - some times it did and sometimes it didn't. Even when it didn't squeal it was generally a noisy piece of equipment. I […] also was confused with their green program. I hung the tag out before 2am to say that sheets/towels didn't need to be replaced. But I had expected that the coffee would be replenished and the bed made. The next night I didn't hang the tag and still no service. After catching the housekeeping staff in the hall and asking for more coffee, I got more coffee. I'm not sure if the linens were changed or simplied tidied. The pool was under construction. Mehr

Checked in late & they had run out of rooms so I was 'upgraded'. Really was expecting to be wowed but unfortunately the room was a disappointment considering that it was a deluxe room in a 4 star hotel. Carpet was dirty/stained, turned the heat on & it had the smell of burning wires (old system) Truly disappointed considering the location & hotel brand […] - ok Sheraton, it's time to spend some money & upgrade. Ratings seem to be more for business travelers but as for a overnite stay with your wife, it's not so starry.

This hotel is great. Mirror in bathroom was dirty when I got there and the tv was not working. I put in a call to front desk and it was taken care of. Location is great for shopping. Elevators are a little slow.

I booked 2 rooms for the Club Level at a higher rate. The usual amnenities (breakfast etc) were not available on that floor. They would not adjust my rate. The hotel is getting old and it shows. Staff was helpful but the product is the problem not the staff.

This room was very clean and very updated. Not sure how old the hotel is but everything inside was neat and clean. Only stayed one night and didn't eat in restaurant but bar was conveniently located and great tvs for sports. Great price. Would stay again.

Room had an overwhelming mold mildew smell, thermostat didn't work, had to spend all night adjusting thermostat. Had to use keycard to get to right floor hotel but cards didn't work 75% of time so had to walk up or down 5 flights of stairs at times to get to right floor. Absolute joke of a hotel. Hotel gave other guests wrong room number so we had people […] trying to use their cards to get into our room at 1:30 in the morning. Pool was not operational, construction all around pool. Old hotel rooms painted to look somewhat new. Not worth the price even discounted price. Limited parking. No access to the front door the first night because of construction. good hotel. safe. clean. comfortable bed. bathroom was very clean. just had a lot of college football party noise. hotel mgr took care of it quickly. does charge for internet. that was depressing. needs to have HBO

The only downfall to this place are the elevators. They are soooooooooo slow. Also, you need to use your room key to access your floor, and this becomes a huge pain in the @$$ if your hands are full or if your card malfunctions.

Ok place. Not great. TV didn't work so Engineering had to fix. One of the phones in the room didn't work. Place room service order for dinner. They were out of several items on the menu. Room was clean, but noisy. I could hear toilets and showers from upstairs and neighbors. Convenient location.

This hotel was perfectly placed for dallas airport - 20 mins and also for shopping at the Galleria. This hotel has a shuttle bus that will take you to any restaurant and pick you up.
