Ramada Gateway Hotel - Kissimmee

I stayed for 5 days, the experience was ok for the price. The room was clean, the hotel is pet friendly which was a plus cuz i had to travel with my dog.

Ramada needs to clean up the hotel. Would not stay there again.

The room and hotel need a major renovation. The furniture is outdated, the toilet frequently ran during my stay even though maintenance came to assess the problem and still couldn't fix it, saw bugs running across the bed comforter, the room was either too hot or too cold & couldn't control the air conditioner & housekeeping left dirty towels in the […] romm after they should have cleaned the room. The room's carpet was very dirty looking...bed was not comfortable at all...very musty smelling also..fridge was tiny...pool was not heated ...room was nice size though....price was great...but would never stay there again..seemed to be in the "bad part of town" It was convenient to disney parks

We traveled with 3 kids and the room was large enough to accomodate us comfortably. We are very upset with the NEW hotel (most hotels I'm assuming) policy to charge $20 extra PER day for an extra sofabed!! Whiel we are already paying for the room/space, and while there are already 2 other beds, and no *extra* service provided on a daily basis with this […] additional bed, who charge so much more?? This used to be provided as courtesy just as shampoo, soap and towels.. wonder when they are going to charge for that as well citing economy! The room was and smelled very clean. But all 3 kids were coughing in the morning (because we stayed there only at nights, out during the day) because of the airconditioning probably full of mold or dust! Rooms were generally good! Clean! Beds were comfortable! Only dislike is that we had to pay extra to get a microwave in the room and we got no internet although the website said free wireless internet.

More than satisfactory.

We loved the location close to Disney ! Pools are nice but we missed the hot tub / it would be nice after swimming in the pool or a long day.We had a great experience ovar all . Recommend it all.

This is a nice older hotel located just outside Disney, they even have a shuttle service to the theme parks, though we did not take advantage of that.

We were looking for a place close to Disney that was inexpensive and this hotel fit the bill. The room was quiet and clean and we were at the park in 10 minutes.

It could definitely be cleaner. I also found a bug in my room. Even though it was significantly cheaper than the surrounding hotels and was in a fantastic location, I wouldnt stay here again.

Close to shops, gas stations & restaurants and the Disney parks. Rooms could use some freshening up but overall is a nice place and a great price.

This Ramada is very close to the Disney parks, within 10 minutes of all of them, and is located in the middle of a lot of fast food and shopping.

Arrive to check in and waited in line for 20 minutes to get room key and was assigned a room that was already occupied. Had to go back to the reservation desk and waited in line again for another 25 minutes before being waited on. Hotel staff is not that friendly and did not apologize for the mistake. My boyfriend and I won a free stay at a large resort, but only for two nights so we stayed our first night in Orlando here before moving to the resort. This hotel is lovely. Neat, tidy, the rooms are spacious and the beds plenty comfortable. Towels were kind of scratchy but that's expected. I've seen other reviews citing bugs but the only ones we saw […] were the typical Florida white flies that follow you through every door. Even the fancy places can't get rid of those! The staff were very professional and friendly. Walls were fairly thin and the door to our room had to be shut forcefully to close. Still, for the money, it was perfect. Also, for the Disney crowd, to get to the park you only have to turn right out of the lot. No impossible left turns across four lanes of traffic. Big hotel feel without big hotel price. A little hard to find the first time but in a good location from all attractions. Nice shops/cafes on the prop. Enjoyed the pool and recreation area. Friendly squirrels!

Stayed 3 nights in the tower. Good service. Room cleanliness was average. We would stay again for the value and location.

I had stayed in The Tower Rooms on a previous visit and much preferred that to the Regular Room by the Pool where we were this time. I would have gladly paid $20 for the upgrade, but they were Full. It was a good place for the money. I'm glad I stayed in the tower part. I see why some of the others said the same. There's another Ramada across the street and it takes about 5 min. to get there if you choose incorrectly.

It has a good location an confortable room.

(We booked a stay for 6 nights Fri-Wed) Only 15 cable channels, major networks, 3 highliting (Disney and Universal Studios) theme parks, no NATG nor HIS. They did have 3 HBO channels, however, having young children meant having to keep the remote away from them. I didn't want the children channel surfing and come across those channels due to language/nudity/violence […] in most movies they broadcast. Suggest they make those stations optional and put on more family friendly channels. Surprising for such a "high class hotel" that they were not more aware of their family-natured clientele and serve their viewing needs. Also very surprised The Golf Channel was not on their listings, considering it is a channel originating from Orlando and this area is such a hotbed for golf. I very much missed that channel. Surprised that this 3.5 star hotel had such few TV channels. Many errors in communication with front desk. After our first night, (7th floor) south view we spoke with other guests who suggested we change our room to the north side for a view of the fireworks at Disney. On Saturday morning, we requested a room (5th-8th floor north view) once a room became available. The front desk said they would make a note of it on our file and to see them Monday morning (10:00 AM) after week-end guests checked out and were told that a room would be available. On Sunday, it rained so we did not go to a theme park. Noting that we purchased theme park tickets to both Disney and Universal and needing 6-7 days in the parks, we decided to extend our vacation by 2 days to make up for the rainy day. We went to the front desk on Sunday morning and requested an extension to our stay (move to the north side of the tower PLUS extension through Friday night). This hotel was nice & clean. It was close to the Disney parks.

As excited I was with the pictures while making the reservation, it all just vanished as soon as my room was allocated. The website only shows the tall building but little does the description mention about the motel type of building for which the low price is offered! The room that was given was very dirty. The beds are worn out. The pool side of the […] rooms are very noisy. The television has only limited channels(but this should not be an issue if the purpose of the visit is to Disney). I did request a change of the room to non pool side which seemed to be a little cleaner. The Internet does not work in the room. You have to be in the hotel lobby for Internet to work which kept crashing and I was told that their router was rebooted quite frequently. Parking was good. Beware that you cannot rely on the hotel transportation to the parks as they offer only two rides to limited parks. They offer only one ride back to the hotel which is much earlier that you can get out of the park. So you miss that then you are out of luck and have to spend a handle full to get back to the hotel. The bus is not exclusive to this hotel, but its one bus that drops off people at different hotels in the area. The hotel is conveniently located close to animal kingdom and there are quite a few restaurants close to the hotel. If I have to go back I would spend a few more green and stay elsewhere. Mehr

I have stayed at this Ramada once before and the experience was not bad. This time around, it was used for a one night stay.

I expected a more traditional Ramada...this one is more like a motel as it has several older buidings that have three floors of room not connected to the main building. There were ants in room that the staff promply sprayed for, but they remained. Hotel is located in a very congested part of town making it impossible to make left hand turns. no wi-fi -no free stuttle -only once a day -very misleading

Never stay at this hotel unless you like want to sleep in a room that has hair all over the place. the room smelled like Raid the bug killer. we asked many times to move but the hotel staff was so RUDE. we where told that there was no other rooms. So we went and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room. We walked around the hotel and there where […] many rooms open i called back to the front desk and they told me to "deal with it or find a new hotel". We have two children that wanted to go swimming so we went down to the pool it was so dirty. I would never recommend this hotel EVER. Hotles.com should not send people here!!!! Mehr

The worst hotel/motel I've stayed at for the past 20 years.

Stayed here last October when they actually had a SKUNK show....yes, you heard right. Most fun I ever had so I came back....sorry no show this time but great people, great rooms in the Tower and close to everything. I think they have another show in October....check it out....they are FUNNY!!!!

Based on another review, I made sure to book a tower view room. The room had a large picture window overlooking the entire Magic Kingdom park. We had a perfect view of the nightly fireworks show! I also liked the security of the gated parking lot.

The hotel was very nice, the rooms comfortable and the staff helpful. Even the toilet overflow was promptly taken care of. Lots of fun things to do while staying there also, swimming pool, pool tables, weight room, laundry room, restaurant on sight plus other amenities.

We stay at this Ramada when we're doing Disney on the cheap. As annual pass holders and DVC members, it's always fun to squeeze another trip in, even when we're out of "points" on our timeshare. Anyway, the Ramada was a Hotels.com find for a great price. I fully expected it to be older, not as well kept, etc..., but was surprised to find it VERY nice! […] We've stayed here 4 times now for about 2-3 nights at a time. We always request the "upgrade" to the TOWER side, which faces the Disney parks. It's newer, nicer, and you can even see the Tree of Life and the Epcot Ball from the room! The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. I've paid much more for rooms not half as nice. The staff is friendly and there's security in the parking lot. This is one of the best hotels I ever been. From the front desk person who, at 3 am in the morning, was very gentle and attentative to all our needs, to the beautiful rooms, with cofee, te, etc. to the huskeeping service, that was superb. Definetly, I will recommend to friends and family and will go back, every time in the area.
