Days Inn Downtown - Riverwalk Area - San Antonio

Room was acceptably clean but quite small. Front desk staff was very helpful.

There were roaches in our room :(

I was satisfied with our stay, even though it was new years and they were really busy the staff always had time to answer our questions and even gave us directions about where to go downtown

Dirty towels in my room had to get out of shower and call front desk lady at front desk was rude saying I needed to go down and get clean ones I explained my situation that the towels were dirty and I had already showered how was I going to go outside in 40 degree weather all wet she said well there here if u want them no one is going to take them up […] to you when I asked for her name and corporate number she refused to give me either one. Worst service ever dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. Never again. Mehr

The hotel is not close to the River Walk......the area is creapy........the trains passing by all night and highway noise does not let you sleep!

We were concerned because of some of the reviews listed, but found the wost claims to be unfounded. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable.the staff was pleasent and helpful....my only complaint was that the coffee was weak for my taste.

Must be located right near railroad tracks. Heard train whistles from at least 8-10 seperate trains that continued well past midnight. We were there on a Sat night. Issues with drunks and losers making noise outside the room late at night.

Nice for overnight stay, didn't have ice bucket in room had to wait till morning to get one.

This was easily the worst hotel experience I have had. We had to move to three rooms as the bed linens were dirty. One had fluid stains on the sheets. We finally asked them to just provide clean sheets. The sheets they provided were too small and we ended up fighting all night to keep them on the mattress. Half of the night we were sleeping on the bare […] mattress. the bathtub had hairs. The night manager was great to try to accommodate us and find a clean room but the place was not well maintained. The sheets were stained, the bottom sheet was so streched out that every time you turned over, it went with you. I'm not sure if someone hadn't sleep on them before. There was mold in the bath room. there were roaches crawling over your suitcases. I would not recommend any one stay in this hotel.

is not even close to the Riverwalk or we wouldn't have selected this hotel. You might reconsider if you want to stay closer to a hotel in the Riverwalk area. The roachs running on the breakfast buffet was the clincher.

At aroud 6 a.m., the morning of our stay, someone tried to open our door. The sound woke me up, and if it wasn't for the latch on our door, who knows what would have happened. The sound of someone running away (we were on the second floor) made it even creepier.I am never staying here again. Also, the remote control for the television did not work.

1).The Hotel Days Inn in San Antonio: was told it was with-in walking distance of the River Walk...It was over a mile away and for older folks that was not good... 2). the beding was dirty...we had to have them come and change the sheets... 3). Roaches crawling all over the bathroom and dead flys in the window...

THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL WE HAD PLANNED ON STAYING AT. WHEN WE MADE THE RESERVATION, WE ASKED FOR A SPECIFIC LOCATION AND THIS LOCATIONS SAYS THAT IT IS IN THE RIVERWALK AREA, AND IT IS NO WHERE THE RIVERWALK. WE HAD PLANED ON WALKING TO THE ALAMODOME, AND SINCE WE WERE SO FAR AWAY WE ENDED PAYING $60 IN ADDITIONAL PARKING BECAUSE OF IT.

Stayed one night. Great price online for one night. Room was clean. Only had one issue and that was a room was not ready until 4:20pm. Other than that room was clean and quiet. Quick access to highway.

The hotel room was not clean, my wife took pics of the room and there was also mold in the restroom. Wed will post the pics on the website so other possible guests can view and stay away from the hotel

Sorry but this hotel is not in a safe neighborhood. Bugs on ceiling did not stay moved to different hotel

good hotel for the price very close to alamo and other things not fancy or nothing but just for a night it was ok, except for the fact that the lady chargered my card for the room after i had gotten it on hotels.com after i asked her if she was charging she said no and she actually was so gotta make sure u have money in the bank to aviod an overdraft […] chrage Mehr

Hotel was clean and everyone was very helpful with our plans to visit diffrent places, gave us maps and addresses. Helpful too, with our dogs needs. Our "garmin" sent us the long way around and with contruction in our way it was a challenge to get there, had we stayed on the interstate we would have driven right to it. Thankyou

It took 3 rooms to find an acceptable one....the 1st two rooms the hotel booked us into had construction workers in the room working on them as we walked in - the hotel staff didn't know what rooms were being worked on and which ones were open...Bad surrounding area and non-stop train noise in the background at ALL times...after our luggage was lost […] on the airline this was not a good welcome to San Antonio. This hotel is nowhere near the Riverwalk, and I kept my laptop with me at all times. The room door had a one inch gap at the threshhold, so nothing would prevent crawly nasties from slithering in the room overnight. In room Internet was a big point in my selecting this room too, and that didnt work. The staff was more than happy to offer me another […] room closer to the lobby, but I then had to move after I had unpacked. Wont be going here again. Mehr

Rooms were not well lighted. Trash left outside of exterior of buildings where visible from guest rooms. Generally, exterior areas needed cleaning. Overall, not up to par of the 2.8 rating that I purchased.

The hotel is located 50 yards from the highway, rooms are planned very bad. You will have to close the bathroom door otherwise people can see right in from outside. I ordered a wake-up call for 9 AM and got it 5 AM!! I think you should expect more from a hotel with that kind of price.

Well this is the second time me end my family stay at this hotel for mini vacation, but i think this is the last time at the place because its totally different from last time, 1- I book two rooms, and they only have one ready and it was 7 pm. on my arrival time, they offer me another room this one isn't been clean all day so I went back to front desk […] and told them, they give another room at almost 9pm. the place wasn't even full cause was in the middle of the week. the water of the pool wasn't blue at all, almost like blue green with mold on the edge. I don't come back to the place again. The rooms are in bad shape and bathrooms smelly and moldy. Mehr

Very unsatisfied with this hotel. On our first night, we couldn't sleep on the beds because the bedsheets and blankets were very dirty; they looked like somone had slept over the bedsheets already and they had not been changed. We had to request a new set of sheets and blankets; the linen was old and smelly. There was hair in the bathtub and the bathroom […] needed to be cleaned. The room smelled terrible. The night manager was very unkind and unhelpful. He said he would leave a note for the manager. In the morning, we asked the manager and she said she didn't know anything about our complaint. We cancelled our reservation that morning. Also, the hotel is not close to the riverwalk or downtown. We had to drive 10 minutes to get to downtown. Mehr

Overall, this hotel was decent. The beds were smaller than we expected. The room was clean. The breakfast was pretty good. The kids really enjoyed the pool. However, there was one day when the pool has a lot of bugs in it. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned out in a few days. The first night we were there, two of the kids tried going to the lobby […] to use the vending machine because they had late night munchies. They were surprised to find that the lobby closed before 9 PM on some nights. There was no sign on a door with times that said how late the lobby was open and closing up before 9 seemed way too early since the pool did not even close until 10. Mehr

This Days Inn states that its Days Inn-Riverwalk no its not. You have to drive, I was expecting to walk to it. Also the rooms were newly remodeled, so that means during the day you would hear banging and tumping but thats to be expected, was not that bad would stay again. Also I ask for a late check out and they were ok with it with our charging us.... […] I really did like my stay with the exception that I thought we were going to stay on the Riverwalk. Mehr

Not really close at all if you want to walk to the Riverwalk– for the money it is Ok. The Flea Market area is close. If you add the parking fee we spent to go downtown for the parking garage we could have stayed closer and been able to walk to everything we wanted to do. The neighborhood that is it in is not the best one.

We were in the afternoon sun so it didn't feel like th ac was working. The BEST part was the room service Inn that delivered IT WAS DELICIOUS!! It looked like the pool had a bit too much chlorine, cloudy and strong smelling but better too much than not enough. The people were nice and the beds were comfy and it did cool off at night to sleep well.

I was very disappointed with the location, and care of the hotel as well as the total false listing as being near the river walk (5 miles is not near the river walk). This was a disgrace to the Days Inn chain and should not be listed as such let alone 3 stars. Hotels.com should not list this unit again

I thought that the hotel was much closer to the Riverwalk. It was in walking distance- approximately 1/2 mile walk- but I would only walk during the daytime.

It was a short stay, but this comfort Inn in San Antonio had everything I needed from the coffee to an iron & iron board. It was the cleanest bathroom I had seen in good while, keep the good work & I will be staying there again for a longer time. I will recommend to all my family & friends, close to the freeway & places to eat.
