We were returning to upstate New York ( the real upstate, NOT the Hudson Valley) and needed a hotel with easy access to the highway for a quick departure the next morning. For that, the Doubletree was perfect. Downside: the air in room was INCREDIBLY dry and my husband and I both remarked upon how much water we had to drink during the middle of the […] night. Super convenient location and great rooms. Also - they give you warm cookies upon checking in. LOVE it. Great for a one night stay.

Hotels talk about customer service. These guys deliver it. This is our fourth visit and we will be back again. I had forgotten my iPhone charger - it happens. They were kind enough to recharge the phone both nights we were there - and brought it to our room so it would be ready for use first thing in the am. Was told shuttle would be available to take us to the train station. Most of the time it was. One of the times we had to take a cab because another group had booked it in advance and tied it up for an hour. Recommend that if you need the shuttle, let them know asap.

I booked this room through you despite a block of rooms set aside to my organization. the reason I've found in the past the courtisies given are different. I was allowed a late check-out with no fee. others were offered a $35 fee for late check out. What's that all about. Perhaps because the organization had a payment card on file. I took my Mom down to the metro area from Malta, NY to visit her best friend (they are both 83) who lives in northern NJ. Neither of the ladies drives much any more, so we have done this a number of times, staying at a convenient hotel for a weekend get together. It makes the visit much more fun and vacation like. The Tarrytown Doubletree gets my highest […] rating for physical beauty, helpful staff, and excellent food, And convenient location. I loved this creative idea: after we finished our check in, and were about to head to our room, the receptionist reached into a warming box and handed us each a big, soft, warm, delicious chocolate chip cookie. Now that was a fun treat! I was going to save mine ... but I didn't. We called upon the hotel staff repeatedly, for a rollaway bed, to remove the rollaway bed, for extra cups and glasses, an ice bucket refill, and messages. They were unfailingly courteous and pleasant. We were frequently asked if we had everything we needed. We decided to splurge for dinner and were pleased with the results. Bistro Z served us a delightful dinner for 4. My sister joined us from West Milford, NJ to dine, visit and play Scrabble. We were sorry we could not persuade her to stay over night on our rollaway bed. For breakfast the next morning, I could not resist the bagels with smoked salmon, finely chopped onion and parsley, and a variety of cream cheeses. There was far more to the breakfast buffet, but the bagels sold me. Our room, right off the lobby so the ladies did not need to walk too much, was quiet as a church, even though in the lobby you could hear a couple of boisterous parties going on in the function rooms. This is not like any other Hilton property. It looks like an old motel which was bought by Hilton. The front of the hotel is nice, but after that it's a full maze to get anywhere.

Have stayed here before. The convenience of the location is great. Right off the Tappan Zee Bridge; easy on off highway access to Westchester. The hotel has a nice lodge feeling to it. The staff seemed very nice. The restaurant in the hotel was also good. There is a good diner across the street as well. Every time I have stayed at the Doubletree there […] has been some wedding or large group meeting. Which can overwhelm the kitchen/restaurant. But the rooms I have had were luckily far away and there was no noise. Also considering there were many locals staying at the hotel this time because of a freak fall snow storm and they were without power at home. So full house but never felt the hotel wasn't trying their best to deal with matters. I would stay here again next time I am in Westchester area. Mehr

The hotel was adequate, the room was clean, and the shower water pressure was good. However, the room and hotel hallway did not smell fresh (mildew or the way things smell after they get wet). Could use new carpet/desk/larger and newer TV/new drapes as they seemed old - old but now worn out. Overall adequate, but needs to smell better and have some […] minor room upgrades. Metro North shuttle is convenient and readily accessible. Mehr

Bathroom had not been cleaned. We contacted the front desk to reported and requested to have it cleaned. We were told that they were going to send someone to do the job. No one came and we were never contacted back.

Service was great and super helpful. Great dinner recs and they went above and beyond to accommodate us on our trip. Clean, comfortable rooms w/ a lot of amenities.

Hotel certainly met the Doubletree/Hilton standard. Room was comfortable and clean, staff was very efficient and friendly

Great pool-staff was extremely helpful and courteous, friendly too! We had stayed with Hilton before and we'll be doing it again.

This hotel is situated in the right place within Tarrytown just south of Historic Sleepy Hollow and just minutes from The Rockerfeller Estate by way of Phillips Manor and near Lyndenhurst too. We were able to do a lot because of the area this hotel is located in. Right off Route 9 (Which is scenic). I like the design of the entrance and the huge lobby […] with double stone fireplaces. The receptionist greeted and process us quickly. Our questions were answered and the amenities in the hotel was very good. From the excercise room to the Spa to the indoor pool. Our room was very nice too. Me and My girlfriend agreed that this is the hotel to "book" should we decied to come back again. Which is likely because Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow has much more interesting things to see and do in the fall and winter time. Mehr

Well maintained hotel with good service at reasonable rates close to Tarrytown centre and Bear Mountain region.

Double Tree Hilton in Tarrytown was perfect for a recent weekend spent in the area. We were traveling for a family event and also enjoyed touring the Old Dutch Church and the Sleepy Hollow Cemetary. The hotel was perfect. We had a second floor room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and the adjoining room for our young adults. The room was very […] clean and the beds were super comfortable. The warm cookies upon arrival were also nice. The only complaint would be the $3. bottles of water in the room. You do need water for the keurig coffee or tea... No continental breakfast here either unless you want to order room service @ $12. Oh well, we had a great time but bring your own water and the diner across the street is delicious! Mehr

My husband and I were very pleased with our hotel stay. The hotel lobby was brilliant and the front desk reception was very friendly. The room is newly refurbished and very roomy. Beds and room were comfortable. Plumbing was the pitts. No hot water for shower in AM and shink plugged up while shaving.

We stay at this hotel very frequently and recommend this hotel to everyone we know headed to the city and have always had a great stay each time (except for some loud late night/early morning events). This time we experienced a couple annoying problems that were not fixed, but not really much more could have been done to fix it. The room cards we were […] given did not work, so they brought us another set, which also did not work. This meant a lot of waiting around in the hallway outside our room when we were in a rush to make dinner reservations. We were told it would be fixed by the time we got back from the Yankee game, but it was not and again, we found ourselves locked out of our room with our 3rd set of cards. Then in the morning, the keys would not work at the pool and when they got us in, the pool heater wasn't working :o( We love you DoubleTree and we will be staying there again, but this trip was dissappointing and a little frustrating! This hotel is so simple to get to from the highway..very convenient. We stayed here the night we went to Yankee Stadium. It was a simple drive. We were only able to stay one night but will go back again. The room was spotless and very nicely decorated...the bed so comfortable, we hated to get up. The front desk customer service was nearly the worst I ever experienced. Although it will be a grave inconvienence for me, i will not be back!

The hotel charged our credit card $50 per night in case we charged anything. Not a hold, but an actual charge, which had not been credited back 3 days later. We were so angry about it that we made sure not to use their services for things like drinks at the bar or meals.

I have stayed here before and the beds are comfortable, the hotel is quiet and the staff is helpful. It has also been recently remodeled.

The bathroom was dirty with hair in the sink and garbage on the floor. Also, only one bath amenity. At check-out, four staff were standing behind the desk. We had to wait awhile before someone offered to help...and we were the only people waiting! Would NOT recommend this hotel as there are so many other options in the immediate area.

We love the location of this particular property. It is close to numerous family and friends. The kids love the pool and the rooms we have stayed in have always been clean, the linens clean and crisp. This stay, we would have liked to been able to cool the room down, It was very hot. The only thing that would have made this stay better, would have […] been if we could have reserved two rooms with a connecting door. great, friendly, helpful staff - gave us extra cookies, bottled waters, printed a lot of stuff to the desk. room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. bistro food was quite decent and had good options. i'd definitely stay there again.

I've stayed here many times. Everytime there is a good discount I take it over the others in the Tarrytown area as it is comfortable, easy access compared to staying in the city, etc. After a couple of years I have had a couple of maintenance issue that were handled nicely. Plumbing is a little old and the last time all the boilers for the hot water […] went out on a very cold night. I was given more $17 breakfast vouchers and I do like there hot breakfast buffet. Mehr
